Nice beach that gets quieter at the end. Restaurants and parking nearby. Few tourists.

My beach for 50 years. Fine sand beach, endlessly long. If you just want the beach and good food without much else, this is the place for you. Almost only (99%) Einhwinian

Very nice beach. The national park is right next door. Unfortunately, people also misuse it as a toilet. The wants are crazy. Infrastructure is okay. Limited parking spaces available. Also a nice place for the sunset.

Beautiful beach. We were there in april/may and there was not a lot of tourist. That is nice but also all the restaurants were closed and no other commercial activity.

For the locals, I guess it will represent their history. For tourists it doesn't have much to offer, simply that there was a tower there in the past. As information it is fine. But nothing else.

I came with a motor caravan in October, it was very calm and beautiful. The only problem was the flies.. (they bite so bad)

A very nice place that invites you to linger... We were only in the area to look at the place, unfortunately you can tell that the season (end of September) is coming to an end, a lot of it was already closed and that's what you find It's a shame and way too EARLY.

Beautiful sandy beach but a bit bland .. not much to do other than sit on the beach or eat

The remains of the watchtower from the XVI century now serve as a landmark for a beautiful beach. During the weekend it's hard to find a parking place nearby, as Matalascañas is the furthest Sevillian neighborhood, especially during the summer. But once you get there, it's totally worth it.

Great lunch and yummy sangria on the patio next to the beach. We enjoyed everything about our experience and the random entertainment was extra fun!

La Torre de la Higuera, la Peña, el Tapón or la Piedra de Matalascañas is a very interesting historical landmark. Part of a series of watchtowers along the Playa de Castilla coast in the 16th century, left in an odd position by the Lisbon earthquake of 1755. For years, beachgoers have used the tower to jump into the sea, but at the moment this is strictly prohibited, as it is very dangerous and the fine is 6,000 euros.

Large clean sandy beach. Access on steep hills. West part used by para gliders.

decent place. lots of garbage around the camping as in most southern Spain. Good facilities not heated though in winter. could have been 5 stars but I didn't like such distrust with electricity hook up. I get it when they need to unlock it on connecting but running around finding a person to unlock your cable when you want to leave is kinda too much. I get it they have lots of thieves and don't trust people much. but haven't seen anything like that all over Europe.

Initially it was just a large rock from a distance, but then it appeared to be a bottle top......

Lovely, lots of shops, cantinas and beautiful beaches. My tip.... Head South down the beach where its less busy. Fantastic beach, good food and out of season, mainly dog friendly.

Beach with easy access, close to Seville. There is a bus and wide parking 1 minute away. The beach is sandy and it has Doñana park really close. In summer tends to be popular, however it never gets to crowdy since it is really wide and there is space for everyone. There are restaurants near by with variety of food. And there are public toilets, changing rooms and first aid facilities, so you have everything near by.
