Yum! What a cute place! They were super busy but great, fast service! The food came out hot and delicious! I love the flavor of the burger and perfect amount of chili on it! I was happy we were in the neighborhood to try it! I drive past many times but also after they close. I will need to make it again!

First time here, but definitely won't be the last! A little bit of a wait on a busy Sunday morning, but it's a quiet area if you want to walk around while you wait for your table. Food was amazing and we could barely finish what we ordered! Staff was very kind and helpful even with how busy they were. Definitely would recommend a stop at this historical little breakfast spot!

Best breakfast food I've had in a very long time.... Tasted almost like Mama cooked it... I had the breakfast burrito, hash browns, and a side of bacon. Normally when I eat in a restaurant and I get hash browns I have to have steak sauce, because hash browns taste bad but not here. Best has browns I've ever had. Good flavor, great quantity... The burrito was HUGE, and stuffed to overflowing with sausage, scrambled eggs, onions and green peppers... Highly recommended

First time eating here. The atmosphere was nice. I ordered the eggs Benedict which was delicious and the portions was big. The service was lacking. The waitress never came to my table once to see if I needed anything else. When I was done eating I waited till she made eye contact with me to come to my table. Mind you I’ve been sitting there awhile for someone to refill me something to drink. Had to finish my plate with no drink of water nor did she refill my coffee. By the time she came to my table she asked me if my coffee needed a refill. I said no, I just want the bill. I paid for the food because that was the only thing that was good. No tip was given to this waitress.

Great breakfast spot. We stopped in twice during our visit. We both got the biscuits and gravy with egg and sausage. Very good. The second time, I got the breakfast Burrito, which was even better. We would definitely return if in the area again!

What a fun place for breakfast w/our family. Great firehouse memorabilia, good/quick service, delicious, reasonably priced food. Next time we're in town, we'll go back!!!

Went for a late breakfast. Was not too busy. Service was fast, atmosphere was neat (lots of fire fighter props) and the food portions were huge. Daghter got the chef salad and I got the Santa fe egg dish. I couldn't finish it.

Good food & good service! Small footprint but wait was less than 20 min. Variety of breakfast selections. Eggs Benedict fans won't be disappointed with 5 versions on the menu. Lost one star due to the temp of the restaurant. Old building is hard to keep cool.

Great breakfast. Big potato cubes that I'm pretty sure they cut themselves. Tables spaces and music volume is just right so you can hear only the people at your table. Great service my coffee and drink were never empty.

Nice little gem hidden away in a neat spot swallowed by Lincoln. Old converted firehouse transformed into a diner. Breakfast is always good. Good coffee and food.

Passing thru and stumbled upon this wonderful cozy little cafe. Love the fireman's memorabilia. I ordered the pancake breakfast with bacon and eggs. The eggs were so fluffy and delicious, the bacon was perfect.

I know about this restaurant because a friend told me about it and had breakfast with me there. Thanks, Sharene! I have been here 3 times. The first 2 times, I had breakfast in the morning in their dining area. This morning, I ordered breakfast to go. I decided to treat myself to their steak and eggs breakfast. It was great. Every meal I had was good, and I didn't have to wait long for the food. The service was friendly. I also like the look of the restaurant. Unlike chain restaurants, this one has a unique look that only comes with locally owned businesses. Instead of calling Engine House Cafe "Divey", I prefer to refer to it as a hidden treasure of Lincoln. It's worth a visit. However, I am deducting 1 star because I noticed later in the day that they added gratuity for takeout. I was thinking the total I paid seemed more than it should have been, so I checked the receipt they gave me. One of the reasons I prefer to order my food to go from restaurants like these is to avoid tipping. I really don't appreciate them sneaking that on my ticket. The wait staff doesn't deserve to be tipped for simply handing me my food from the kitchen and taking my money.

Always great food and great service! Portions are perfect - not too big and not too small. Favs for our family: the giant waffle, hash browns, and prime rib. And they have Diet Dr. Pepper which is a major win in my book! We'll keep coming back for more!

The Prime Egg Benedict was OUTSTANDING!! Loaded with flavor and massive portions. We came in around 10:30 AM on a Sunday and there was a bit of a line in front of us. The restaurant is rather small, but the service was efficient and we didn’t feel we waited too long. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this unique restaurant and we will certainly be back!

First time to visit, staff was friendly and efficient. Cozy place. No wait when we got there at 8:30 but there was when we left (Sunday morning after N game). Food was good and fresh.. Avocado, bacon eggs Benedict was excellent.

Went for breakfast. Buttermilk pancakes and bacon were both very good. Bacon was crunchy on edges and chewy in the middle. Nice, homey interior. Only complaint is the flies. They were everywhere. Should be a priority for a restaurant. Otherwise everything was very good.
