The main gate in and out of Sfax’s Medina. It’s like being transported to another world once you pace the main walls. Merchants, street cats, scooters and any thing you can think of to buy being sold on the street. A very cool and unreal area to explore

(Translated by Google) The museum is in the heart of the modern city, on one side of the Municipal Palace, and it houses collections covering the epochs of the entire history of Tunisia, with finds from Sfax and its environs, and from other locations further afield. And I recently had a cosmetic surgery that made him more fresh and made his visit more enjoyable. The majority of the collections date back to the Roman period, and they come from the archaeological site of Tina, about 12 km south of Sfax, and from other sites (Taborura - Old Sfax - Louza and Mahres). As for other civilizations, they are also represented in this museum, from the prehistoric period (found in the remote Westspace) to the early Islamic era or the modern eras of the local ruling dynasties. The groups were exhibited in this two-storey shop according to modern standards and provided instructions and explanatory panels in several languages, making it more informative and enjoyable to visit.

(Translated by Google) I loved these streets by types of businesses. The artisans are really nice. If you are a little hungry small restaurant making sandwiches or dishes on site and well stocked. Otherwise there are excellent restaurants with Sfax specialties or fresh seafood. Several tea rooms dispatcher in the Medina. We would get lost almost in some streets but passersby are super nice and accompany us. In the end we sympathized with a lot of people. The mosque is really beautiful. I really liked the fish market stuck in the Medina.

(Translated by Google) It is a gateway to the ramparts surrounding the medina of Sfax, the largest in the Arab world. Beb El Diwèn means door of the customs, because at the end of the 19th century, the sea arrived there. Today, the historic gate has been completed by two large openings to facilitate access to the medina; it is especially this medina which has preserved its secular aspect which deserves the visit, with its specialized souks, its markets, its craftsmen, the great amiability of the inhabitants and the tradesmen, who do not practice a throbbing soliciting, as it is often the case in tourist areas. A place to visit taking the time to get lost and discover the many mosques and historic homes at the turn of winding lanes.

(Translated by Google) A very beautiful place in the heart of the magnificent city of Sfax. This gate is the link between the commercial side and the historic side of the city. On one side, the medina and its souks. On the other, its shops. The place is very beautiful, day and night! An atypical place in Tunisia. Nice view of the magnificent museum.

Bab Diwan is one of the gates of the medina of Sfax. It is located in the southern facade of the old city between Bab Kasbah on the western corner and Bab Borj Ennar on the east. Definitely worth visiting.

As its name indicates Bab el Diwan, during the preceding centuries, it is the door by which entered the products which arrived from the sea and which are subjected to the taxation (Customs). Even today this door is still required, as the main entrance. During festivals and Aids, the square attracts all types of trade or fairgrounds. (Translated by Google) I love you Sfax !!! It has the world's finest olive oil, a huge selection of olives, the finest herbs (look for Sfax in other cities), the most fragrant perfume ingredients - world-famous for its perfume production. Traditional Arabic cuisine is also indispensable - divine little cookies too !!! In the small shops of the old part of the city, all the handicraft products made here are available and everything destroyed can be repaired. I love this city and whenever I can, I'll come to Sfax! (Original) Sfax SZERETLEK!!! Itt található a világ legfinomabb olivaolaja, óriási a választék olajbogyóból is, a legfinomabb fűszernövények (más városokban is a Sfax-it keresd), a legillatosabb parfüm alapanyagok - világhirű a parfümgyártása.
