My husband and I booked a 4-hour canoe rental at Lovers Key. We were the only canoe on the channel among multiple kayaks and paddle boards. The staff were very helpful at the pavilion. You launch your own canoe/kayak at the boat launch. We saw 8 manatees, 3 dolphins, multiple egrets, cranes, and other birds. We highly recommend you take the time to go all the way to the end of the channel/ the last buoy. It was a great experience and a great price for the rentals, we highly recommend.

Paid almost $450; had two people back out, the morning of, due to sudden illness and the rental office made a lame fuss about the cancellation not being not than 24 hrs in advance. Two of the three employees i spoke to were inconsiderate with customer appreciation and service. Our guide just showed us the map with little interest in telling us sights to see. Only upon returning did we learn from ANOTHER guide that we could go ashore to see alligators... All in all, it was just a basic float trip.

First time kayaker, and new to SWFL. We wanted to take our kids for an experience at the park. I am afraid of alligators, spiders and generally would call myself an "indoorsy" person. I contacted Lovers key Adventures - which is the vendor that is set up to rent kayaks, canoes, etc within Lovers Key State Park. We had the best experience - I would highly recommend it - its about $70 for 4 hours for a double kayak. (there's a 4 hour minimum I believe) So, its not as pricey as you might think - and so the per hour, per person cost is $9. Heck, its just about that much if you park at Sanibel (per car, per hour). And this place is just terrific. Kayaks are clean, people are knowledgeable and friendly, and ready to help/educate. Saw 4 manatees - VERY CLOSE UP and ZERO alligators. I am looking forward to going back. They also sell beach stuff, bagged sundries, etc if you forgot to bring anything. I really think its a great service/business they do. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Had a great 2.5 hour paddle. Jackie was our guide. We saw manatees, an alligator, and a dolphin. Recommend early tour to see more animals.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The kayaks were adequate and the setup was easy. The area where you kayak is pretty serene and there's lots of opportunities to see many different types of wildlife.

Stephen was very knowledgeable about the eco system and he was so enthusiastic about what he was sharing. We had a very enjoyable morning!

Beach is stunning, but this place is absurdly hard to reach via public transportation, and if there are any mobility issues good luck. Reservation for beach rental showed a full canopy on the website, only to be given the standard tattered old umbrella and beach chairs when we finally arrived. Not worth it.

Steve was a great guide. There wasn't much more he could have done to make the experience any better.

We had a delightful time exploring the waterways of Lovers Key by kayak. Stephen Denmark was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide to the flora and fauna (including manatees) of the area. We highly recommend this activity.

Best trails around the Fort Myers area for you to enjoy with your fur babies. You are bound to see lots of wildlife! We have seen gopher tortoises, racer snakes, and manatees in the water along the walkway. Beautiful year round, but is very hot during the summer months so be sure to bring lots of water for you and your pooches. There are a few gazebos along the way that are perfect for water breaks under the shade.

A relaxing paddle with several manatees and various birds to keep it interesting. Very friendly staff.

Amazing place to spend the day! We rented a kayak and saw a dolphin yards away from us. Beach area is okay and the beach snack bar is very overrated and expensive (overpriced microwaved food). That being said, the treasure lies in the bike paths, walking paths, and water activities!

Tim made my family and I feel so comfortable and gave us the best experience we could have asked for! Memories for a lifetime.

Our group went yesterday, the supplies were clean and appeared to be new and the staff were friendly and very helpful. When we got there we received all of our supplies within a minute of walking in and it was hassle free despite having an 11 person group. Kayaking/paddleboarding trail is long and easy to follow, the water is clean and the location is perfect because when you're done the beach, bathroom and shower heads to wash off are all right next door to the rentals! The place is also easy to find because it is the same entrance as the park and there are ample parking spaces. Prices are great and we had a wonderful time today, huge thank you to Todd for fantastic customer service.
