For $8 we were able to enjoy this wonderful state park. There were trails and beaches to explore and enjoy. Bring the suntan lotion and hat!

We went night fishing and it was so calm and peaceful. The water and the beach was so beautiful under the lights of the stars and the moon. We had an amazing time and caught quite a few different fish from snappers, a baby red, catfish (of course! Lol) and even a blowfish. My Husband also caught a starfish in the cast net while trying to catch our bait. I wish I would have taken way more pictures, but I kept forgetting because I was having so much fun! We'll definitely be going back this week and I'll make sure to get some good pics. Highly recommend to anyone who loves the beach and fishing!

Don't understand why they still aren't allowing visitors' beach access. I'm aware that the small bridge going strait is out of commission due to the hurricane but I'm sure the public is smart enough to enter to the right. So instead, people are risking injury balancing themselves on top of jagged boulders in an attempt to gain beach access.....after 4 months!! How about opening the fence entrance with a big sign that reads: "beach access to the right only and at your own risk" (which there is zero risk but protects them legally) Stop holding everyone hostage

If you don't mind a walk, use the north entrance. It's more naturally beautiful that end.

Lots of cool trails and places to see. Definitely a good half day trip. Lots of ospreys flying around and a few of their nests are 10 feet up in the air right next to the beach. You can sit on the many bridges and watch them hunt/catch fish. It's worth the 8 dollars for entry.

Loved everything accept the porta potties. They were in pretty bad shape. Beyond that, the trails are well maintained. We walked the Eagle Trail and the beach. The beach is clean with a beautiful view. The trail was about a 3 mile loop. Some shade, some sun. So quiet it was hard to believe we were close to people in the area. Lots of flowers and small animals

Loved this little gem! We got there at exactly 8am, and let me tell you-- I found SO many stunning shells! There were spots with nice shade for my family to rest while the sun beat down. The tram was a great addition to get to and from the beach. Would recommend to anyone!

The state park is well worth the $8.00 all day parking. The trolly ride to the beach is well worth it. I found allot of whole shells they are small.

It's definitely my happy place. Love this gem of a beach. I go by boat so it's got its advantages. Great fishing off point and casting for bait ...10 min from home off Estero River ..blessed.

First time at the state park, we were informed that Hurrican Ian took the park 10-20 years back to its natural state. I really enjoyed the park, staff friendly and the beach was very cleanπŸ€™πŸΌπŸ€™πŸΌ

Beautiful beach even though clean up has been taking a while from hurricane Ian. Best white sand beach I've been to.

I really like this beach. The water normally is clear and it was not this time due to The recent hurricane Elsa. I would recommend this beach to all of my friends, there normally is not that many people there.

Not very good views. Portapotties are disgusting, completely unusable. Looks to be unattended. No shaded areas. If you like hotel buildings and overpass's, this is the place for you.

An unspoiled gem of SW. Florida, the powder-like sand, beautiful waters, and peacefulness, along with the story that gave this beach its name makes one just smile.

Quiet beach now. Was told can be on the beach because they haven’t tested the water. Strange cause we can play on the beach and in the water right across the bridge in Ft. Myers.

Love this beach! It was a busy day for this beach, but there were still parking spaces available. The entrance fee is cheap. They're doing a great job of keeping the beach clean (we didn't find any litter the brief time time we spent there). We especially choose this beach because it's not as 'popular' and crowded as other surrounding beaches (i.e. Fort Myers Beach, Naples Beaches, etc.)

Ample space. Clean. Water needs dredging near shorelines. Too much seaweeds and grass. It a beach not grass pond. Could be way better. Bring a big umbrella because it gets pretty HOT! Direct sunlight can be harmful.. Enjoyable
