An honest detailed review given the previous one are not revealing true facts. Got fooled reading those and decided to try this place. 1. In current situation this is a bar and not a restaurant definitely not a family restaurant. 2. The ambience and even toilet is horrible with no water hence unhygienic. 3. The food tastes horrible, stale and most importantly extremely SALTY that we had to throw away rogan josh and ghostaba. We complained but nothing happened. 4. The Ghostaba could be thrown at one's head and you will die as its so hard and feels like rubber without any taste. Quite bad representation and reputation to Kashmiri food. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to drink alcohol and papad because that is what everyone else in the restaurant did.

CHEAP THRILLS !! this place is located in GK 1 opposite police station, the place has ample parking space ,the interiors are very dingy and basic the food is very average with limited veg options but a variety of non veg options ,the good part is alcohol is cheap Great place for cheap boys night out with drinks and papad :) Wish the owner would consult me for the interior design 😕 such a missed opportunity with a prime location and huge potential to make a impact with the resturant!!

The pace is just opposite to Greater Kailash police station. The place is good for kashmiri community. They have ample parking space a Bar and a banquet hall. Not so good not so bad kind of food quality. You will get new discount schemes on liquor on everyday basis.

Pathetic. One guy attending about 100 customers. The waiter himself agreed they are understaffed. One hour before someone took order. The food was worst when we finally got it. Still recovering from it. Do not even think about ordering kashmiri dishes. Prepared by cooks from Jharkhand, there is nothing kashmiri about them. Never visiting again

Went to this place with my family for dinner after hearing a lot about the Authentic kashmiri dishes. Ordered a few starters mutton khabarga , mutton tikka and veg corn soup. ( it was cooked properly but the dishes had no taste to it had to sprinkle a lot of chaat masala on it... tikka was basically mutton seekh kabab into pieces ). Got total 8 papads (4*2) complimentary. Ordered roghan josh ( was basically mutton in red gravy). Even though the staff was really polite but the service was way too slow and had to wait a lot. The place has a really big parking space and it’s Good for gossiping and sipping beers with starters or nuts.

People who wants to taste Kashmiri dishes in GK / Nehuru Place, one of the finest place is Samavar ! Spacious and reasonable place to chill out. Won’t be available much options and sea food but will have multiple options for chicken, Mutton, Fish and veggie. Right place for to mix with best cocktails.

The food was just wow. The ambience is good. Lighting was also adequate. Hence, this place provides you with a ideal venue if you are looking for a place to talk and interact with your friends or family over food and drinks. The place gets crowded at times and service may thus be a bit slow, but the food makes up for all of it.

One particular waiter was drunk and wanted to.please our group only. Continuously hovering and begging for his children. Polite brush offs did not help. I had to clearly speak my mind. The place is in urgent need.of modernisation. It is a generous plot of land in the heart of GK. Overall good for holding sober social gatherings.

This restaurant is, without a doubt, quite horrible. It's so dark and creepy, and we went there at noon. The service is so horrid. No one gave us menu card, and when they did, the waiter was quite misogynistic towards us. Giving one minute to order, talking over us with impatience. Another server was continuously staring at my friend from afar for long periods of time, which is just weird. We had trouble finding the restaurant, the man whose number is enlisted in Google scolded us for not being able to find the place and was like "aap ko ye bhi nahi dikha?". I don't need condescending moralising when I am out for lunch. If we didn't find it, your job is to try to explain to us with patience where it is. The waiter got water bottle. I said can I have normal water. His full of attitude reply was - the bottled water is also normal, please say "regular water". Is it that big of a confusion what I meant? Or is this only smartassery towards paying customers. This is also an example of the aforesaid misogyny, he was much politer to tables around us where men were sitting. I had gone to this restaurant in 2019 also, got weird vibes even then, they took one and half hour to serve us and refused to pack food. They have a lackadaisical attitude. Atleast four years ago, the food was ok, decent. But this time around the goshtaba's were so small, the size of sparrow's eggs, the curry was clearly old. It was so salty, it clearly had been boiled ad nauseum for many days. It was on the verge of going bad. The dum aloo were equally bad, there was just no salt. It is just difficult to comprehend such a place exists in GK1. I am writing this review as we are getting the bill, seething with anger because this has been such a horrible experience. I am so so happy and relieved to be leaving! This is a very bad example of Kashmiri cuisine. Hideout Cafe is Zakir Nagar has much better food at more reasonable prices. It is fresh and tastes good. And even though the place is small, the service is better. Matamaal is also a better option. Good food, professional atmosphere. Don't come here if you want to eat Kashmiri food for the first time. Go to the other options I have enlisted. Just FYI to those to whom this information will be relevant: there is an active bar here for alcohol which might not be preferable. The atmosphere is not family friendly or female friendly. This is essentially a bar catering to leery drinking men.

We recently went to Samavar for lunch. After arriving we were the only family in the restaurant and it was empty. The customer service was horrible, we ordered Lemon soda and after waiting 15 mins were told that Bar Manager was saying he won’t make it as the water pump wasn’t working. Later there were few people who came for lunch and they were served lemon soda and upon enquiring we were told that now pump is working. Capt. Rawat who is the Restaurant manager was standing all this while next to our table and didn’t bother to take notice of our complaints that food was served after half hour wait, he was busy watching the cricket match on tv. When we got tabak maas starter it had no salt, upon requesting salt we were given an empty container with barely any salt in it. Next the food we ordered Yakhni, Rista we’re just ok but Rogan josh had no masala but was full of oil with no taste. The waiters were busy watching cricket and didn’t bother to serve us water at all. When my family complained Capt. Rawat who was standing all this while there came to us but didn’t make any efforts to rectify the quality of bad food or service. There is a reason why this restaurant sees poor clientele and was empty, it is because of the service. There is no lighting and whole place looks dark and shady. I would not recommend taking family here for dining. For food pickup it might be ok, even then don’t recommend it for long wait times , super oily food. Save your arteries and please find a better place for dining. My family also didn’t enjoy the experience. We are from JK so had high hopes from this restaurant. Never returning here.

Supposed to be an authentic Kashmiri restaurant but thoroughly disappointing. Not a single item tastes even average. The mutton Rogan Josh tasted horrible and so did the dum aloo. A total letdown .👎

Very nice place for authentic Kashmiri food. Lots of parking space. Mutton Rista recipe is really nice.

No quick service, need to remind them oftenly. Food wasn't upto mark. Fish fingers were sour by using stale fish. Poor coordination between staff & management Ambiance needs more filling as per name with rich culture artifacts & authentic history of kashmir with it's diaspora. It seems they take money & do not bother for customer satisfaction, no value for money. Needs a lot of improvisation in all aspects - food service, cordination, food quality, ambiance.

Pathetic quality of food in restaurant. For a single food item they take 30 minutes to prepare. Ordered Kabargah which were like fried papad with no mutton on it and just bones

Dingy with old carpet smell, terrible service that reminds of old government offices & food that seems not fresh. Parking is great, however.

Simply an awesome place. Dont go on the kind of entrance they have with some very washed out color board. Inside you go and its a total change. Amazing authentic food. Drinks are very CHEAP! Cant beat the statement anywhere. Do not try Frnech Fries, they are not good at it but yes, try some Gravy Dishes and u vl fall in love. Must try Mutton Yakhni. It s is very delectable.

Zero attention to the new clients. We came and sit and after 15 minutes and asking 3 times for the menu we left the place. Looks like they are not interested in earning money.

Great place for Kashmiri cuisine. However, the service could be better. Many options for non-veg dishes. Suitable for relaxed visits.

Quite and simple place, good parking space in front of the club. Good if you want to hold beers and watching any sports.. Service and food are good. One should visit this place for corporate meetings with affordable menu.

Discovered this gem on a random Thursday. Great snacks and legendary drink prices. Feels like a reminder of old school Delhi restaurants.

Taste will not be found good if you are not familiar to Kashmiri Food Culture. It's a totally Kashmiri Restro with bar facility. Just a space where you can organise large official get-togethers
