Bhimkund is a Natural blue water tank located at a distance of around 78 km from Chhattarpur district, on the way from Chikhaldara to Pratwada. An old mythological goes that Bhim killed Kichaka and threw him in this valley, giving it the name Kichakdara. He then took a bath in the nearby lake and it is thus called 'Bhimkund'. It is believed that the depth of Bhimkund can't be measured and locals observed the water level of Bhimkund rising to 30 metres when the Tsunami hit the shoreline in 2004.

The place is very scenic. We were there during rainy season. The moment we saw the water fall, it felt so relaxing that our entire travel tiredness went away. Beware of the monkeys though, they will try and snatch any eatery from your hand/bags. I would say, it's a must visit if you are in #Chikhaldara.

Awesome excursion if you are up for some light trek down to the actual Bhimkund. The view point itself offers a good view of the valley and probably in rainy season (or just after) there could be a gorgeous waterfall to add to the beauty of the place. We visited in December so there was no waterfall. That was a down side. But on the upside the bhimkund itself and the rivulet that feeds the waterfall was very much accessible after a small trek (starts from a dusty path on the left).

Nice spot to visit in chikhaldara. Fall is in full force in rainy season. This place has mythological background. It is said that Bheema has washed his hands here after killing some asur.

This place was better than any other spots in chikhaldara. The scenic valley, pleasant sound of waterfall and fresh air this is the place where u need to be away from hustle bustle of the city. Do explore hidden trek going to original bhimkund point.

Bhim kund point area is Totally Nice Beautiful Natural place. BHIM KUND is a part of this area. Which is Ancient Historic place. But very risky to reach. If You want to see the place, be carefull on way. Follow the rule & suggestions of local Administration.

👍👍 It's not possible to describe this amazing hidden waterfall in words. You can't get that feeling until you go there in monsoon. The trek to the waterfall is worth. It takes 30-60 minutes to complete the trek. The view and sound of that water falling from the mountain will forever be imprinted in you...
