I lived at Marine Towers West Apartments for three years. Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience. I would recommend trying to live at another apartment complex on Edgewater. Living at Marine Towers West was okay as long as I didn't not need any assistance with anything. On Dec 23,2021, when the garages collapsed everything changed. Around 1600,I received a called by management which asked if I cleared the building. When I asked what happened they said there is a small issue with the garage and that I would be unable to enter the building for now. I was told nothing further. I had to find out that the garages collapsed through google. I had to call off work and drove a few hours away and stayed with family. Once allowed back into the building there were many issues such as a huge lack of parking, family not feeling safe, friends not feeling comfortable visiting, and lots of construction (paint fumes). I had a lot of trouble trying to find parking since I work 12.5 hour shifts. The apartment complex did offer transportation to off site parking for individuals that work a normal hours (6-8M-F). Unfortunately, I do not have a normal work schedule so I was not able to utilize the transportation services. Thus, I asked if I could move out early and I asked what the cost would be. The management stated I could move out early and there is no charge. However, when I went to put my notice in that I was moving out, management contacted me a few weeks later and stated I would have to pay the remaining lease obligations. When I asked why some of my neighbors were allowed to move out early but I wasn't. Management took well over a week to respond and stated I could only move out early between March and April. Unfortunately, Claire never communicate any of these details to me. I was waitlisted when looking for apartments and then gone on military orders. So, now I am just going to have to keep feeling trapped in an unsafe apartment building. Also, any time maintenance needs to access your apartment which is multiple times a year they do not wear shoe protectors so dirt is frequently tracked in and trash usually gets left behind. I did reach out to the leasing office because on of my rugs was ruined, trash was left on the floor, and multiple lights were left on after maintenance came to work on the bathroom while I was at work. I never received a response from the leasing office regarding the matter. The apartments themselves are older and need to be remodeled but that's pretty typical for Lakewood. I just don't think the price charged for rent is worth it since the building is not adequately maintained. Plus, the poor customer service experience I received. I cannot recommend leaving here to anyone.

I just renewed my lease after a fine first year here. Not only is the leasing staff professional and supportive, I have found the whole maintenance crew responsive and respectful. But there's more! As a whole, it is clear that staff and crew are a solid team, with the staff pitching in on cleaning duty once in awhile or planting flowers out front and the whole team is not afraid to laugh and enjoy where they are (they also decorate for the holidays!) That's not to say there might not be problems to solve, but if there are, the issues are addressed clearly and with understanding. Oh and even though the building was constructed a few decades ago, the whole heating infrastructure is being meticulously updated, suite by suite. Makes me feel great about going forward into the rest of this century! Then there's the solace of the lake. The rooftop deck is available to all with fabulous views of the city. And of course, even not being on a top floor or in a corner apartment, the lake is just a glance away through my (well-insulated) windows. I am home.

I have lived in Marine Towers West in Lakewood, Ohio since August of 2019. It is an excellent place to live and a place I am proud to call my home. I love the amenities and the view of the Lake Erie. I am especially pleased that on the penthouse floor there is a party room, patio and community room (Captains Quarters) that is nicely furnished and overlooks the lake and the skyline of Cleveland. I have hosted guest in the party room, held business meetings in the Captions Quarters and I have had overnight guest to stay in the guest suite that is available. The property management and staff are very responsive and whenever there is an issue it is resolved quickly. I was here when the garage collapsed, and I am happy to say that I was pleased with how it was handled. In recent months there has been a change in manager and many upgrades. There is a noticeable change in the attention to details. The staff is friendly, responsive and they go out of their way to provide a wonderful experience for the residence. The building is quiet, and intergenerational everyone that I have come in contact with is friendly and respectful. I love living here and it is less than a mile from shopping and restaurants. If you are looking to rent on the lake this is a property you will want to consider.

We’ve recently rented a unit at Marine Towers West and are extremely satisfied. The property is well maintained and very secure. The staff is very friendly , accommodating, and the location is ideal. Lastly, the rooms are spacious, warm and quiet. Anyone looking for an apartment needs to put this property at the top of their list to view.

While a relatively new resident here, I have found the staff to be responsive to my questions and service requests. It is a comfort to me that the leasing office is staffed with competent, accessible people and the service personnel are wonderful. Everyone I've interacted with has been cordial and helpful.

I have been living at Marine Towers West for over two years now and love it! The location can't be beat right on the edge of Lake Erie. Coming from someone who used to live further south, being on the Lake makes me feel like I'm on vacation every day and my family/friends out of town love to check out the view! :) The leasing staff (Claire and Debbi) has always been extremely helpful, flexible to every need, and responsive to all inquiries. They send out updates all the time informing residents of any changes happening within/outside the building i.e. turning the water off for the day, updating the heating system, cleaning the garages, etc. There are no surprises and allow extra time to make arrangements if need be. The maintenance team is also great - requests are always taken care of within a couple days! I am so glad to have such a great group of people down in the leasing office. It makes a big difference! The complex is quiet, always clean, and the grounds are taken care of constantly. They decorate for the holidays too, which makes it fun! Other residents are friendly too! I plan to continue my stay at MTW and would recommend this place to anyone!

Recently moved in a couple months ago. Love the apartment/area. Leasing agents do a fabulous job of making you feel welcome. Before and even after you move in. Nice quiet building with great view of the lake.....highly recommend.

😠 They’ll let you sign a lease and give them a deposit then tell you two days before you move in that your apartment isn’t ready.
