A wonderful quick hike to a great waterfall in an area with a lot of history. Paths are well kept, trees are gorgeous, and the only thing more awesome than the cool water of the river is the scenery itself. And if you want a fun little side quest, there are tiny trails leading to the river further down from the falls that are pretty shallow and allow you to soak your feet for a few minutes. Overall a wonderful few hour trail by foot or bike. Highly recommend!

Beautiful waterfalls which is as tempting as its name. We visited this falls twice - once in September and once in January and the falls was at its full fury in Jan. The boardwalk was well maintained and it takes you very close to the falls to have an unobstructed view. It's just a short hike from the Car Parking. Must visit if you are nearby this area.

Had a wonderful time here and would definitely come back. We did the whole 1.5mi loop, the trail could have been marked more clearly at the bottom of the falls/how to get back to the parking lot, when it branched off in 4 places but we just had to follow where I saw other people going and hoped it was right. At the top of the falls and the scenic overlook it’s really sturdy and easy to get to. Had a lovely time! Not stroller friendly.

There is a nice loop trail that can be enjoyed instead of just taking the boardwalk. Doing it clockwise has you do the tougher part first, there is some elevation gain but the path is very nice and worth the effort. Follow signs for the Stanford trail from the parking lot.

Beautiful ride to the park, ample parking, very nice/ clean restrooms, easy walk down very sturdy path and stairs to waterfall. Not far from parking lot, though slickery when wet. Also longer nature walk through woods, plenty of finches and redwing blackbirds. Great activity on a rainy day! Will definitely come back in the fall for the colors.

Beautiful falls is a short walk from the parking lot. Lower observation platform requires several sets of stairs and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or those that don’t like heights.

It's an absolutely beautiful place to visit! I love exploring nature with my family, and Ohio has so many places to do that. Among the best is Brandywine Falls. Now, I understand it's not Niagra Falls, but the way they carved out the trail makes you feel like you have a front row seat I-Max experience, but in real life. As you work your way down the trail you'll feel as though you're making your way into a whole other world. It's almost unbelievable to think that just a few miles away lies the hustle and bustle of city life. It also commemorates its history by preserving a couple of the buildings used to make use of the water power of the falls almost 100 years ago! If you're visiting Northeast Ohio and you have the time to visit - you won't regret it! If you live in Northest Ohio and you haven't been, then you MUST check this one off your list!

Beautiful falls- even with the drought, there's a decent waterfall!- and a beautiful place in general. If you just want to see the falls, the path is all a wooden boardwalk. You can see the falls from the bottom by taking a bunch of stairs, or from the top by following the flat boardwalk. I think it's great that people of any mobility levels have options to see the falls! If you want to extend your walk, you can follow the loop around (the Stanford loop) for a total of about 1.5 miles. This includes the boardwalk, some of the bike trail, and hiking through the woods.

Absolutely a gorgeous park. Beautiful falls. The sound of that water touches my soul every time. If you have never been it's a must. Their are stairs so not good for wheelchairs from what I saw. That would be about the only downfall. Beautiful black and yellow birds. Saw a snake and tons of spiders. Saw the remains of a hundred year old barn.

Short walk from parking lot to the falls. Also, a 3 mile loop you can do. The falls were a little light but still very beautiful. There's a lot of cool coloration on the rocks. The parking lot seems to have a lot of come and go. A sign said full when we arrived, but there were open spots. A ranger was very welcoming to us and gave us a map.

Easy hike with some stairs to ascend and descend. If it's snowy or icy, best not to risk it and wait for better weather. Pretty falls and some picturesque spots too.

Its still pretty and large falls in the winter. There's a cave across the gorge where I thought I saw a baby cub or some other animal in front of it. I hope to come back and walk the trails during all seasons. It was easy to park in the parking lot and walk straight down, you don't walk far, it's right off the parking lot.

Beautiful area for a walk about paved and unpaved trails, boardwalk and stairs. Both upper and lower deck have gorgeous views. Underconstruction is the new WC however they portable toilets available. Bring trekking poles and your boots, and stay hydrated.

Even after just visiting Niagara Falls, I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Brandywine Falls. The waterfall is truly captivating, and the surrounding area is a nature lover's paradise. The elevated boardwalk leading to the falls offers a fantastic view, and the ease of the walk makes it highly accessible. It's a great spot for a peaceful day in nature!

Beautiful National Park in NE Ohio! Great walking/biking trails. Well maintained stairs make the short walk from the parking area to the Falls overlook an easy one. We hiked the trails around the Falls and was impressed with how gorgeous the whole area is. Don't miss the beautiful Bed 'n Breakfast and picnic area adjacent to the bike trail nearby. We look forward to seeing the Falls again in the different seasons.

Love there are 3 options for visiting the falls. 2.5 hour round-trip walk from visitor center. Very short walk if you park at the falls. Or you can do the loop after parking at the falls. I went on a beautiful fall day in October. The on site bathrooms were under construction for future enjoyment. Portapottys were available.

A very picturesque waterfall, with the trail to and from it being very short but not accessible for those with disabilities. Connects very easily to many other trails here if you're wanting a longer hike like we did.

Beautiful! Easy to get to, but you will encounter stairs... Maybe 40 in total. Easy path along a well built and maintained wood walkway, handrails and benches. Short walk from the parking area. Definitely go if you are in the area

This is one of the most iconic and important National Parks in the Appalachian mountain range. The astonishing geological features and nature are only comparable with the impeccable work to keep the trails clean and well. A must in Ohio and the entire Midwest.

Super easy trail along the boardwalk to a viewing spot at the top of the falls. Additional platform down quite a few steps, but very much worth it if you're able. Beautiful falls! Restrooms are at the car park.

Always a hit with everyone! We take the trail to the falls then follow the loop on the Stanford trail which has an opening to enjoy the water and mini shale falls down the trail. Perfect for a summer day to let the kids loose and have fun and explore the rocks and water. This trail never disappoints and is a must see for all north east Ohioans.

It’s a beautiful falls and the hike around this falls is a pretty good workout. It takes us up and downhill. Loved the hike at this place. We enjoyed some places around the hike with the water flow, took time to sit down there and have some relaxation. If you are doing the just the falls, it’s has some pretty good steps to go down and up.

Great hike! Happy that they were doing repair work so we were able to enjoy the falls without an entire group of people around. What's best in life, you have to work for. The water was flowing pretty good and I am happy that they are working on the parking lot for one of the best sites in the National Park

Tallest fall in Ohio at 65'. Must see for waterfall lovers. Much better during rainy season. It has been a little dry day before my visit today.

This location has many stairs so be warned if you can't handle stairs well. The stairs reward you with a truly surprising waterfall that cascades beautifully. There are several vantage points to view the falls. Take a camera and enjoy a moment listening to the timeless sound of water falling over rock.

This is a pretty good waterfall. When I visited the bridge and some trails were under construction and it was hard to get to the falls, even though the viewing area were open.

I walked the Brandywine Falls Gorge trail and found it to be the nice mix of elevation and walking plus some of the best views for a local hike. There are more trails that connect to it and I would like to explore some more. Coming here at sunset made the shadows dramatic and the views were phenomenal.

Beautiful National Park! Certainly not in the top of my list of favorites, but getting outside of the hustle and bustle of Cleveland made for a beautiful afternoon/evening hike. πŸ˜€ Felt very safe. Easy for small children. Trails are very well maintained. Didn't see any snakes or other wildlife. Take water!! The waterfall is always a relaxing way to end the day.

One of the best waterfalls in the area. They are absolutely beautiful. Brandywine falls are jn the Cuyahoga Valley National Park so there are lots of things to see in the area. It would be the perfect date for those couples that like outdoor adventures.

Very easy boardwalk path out to the falls. There is a flat option to see the falls from the top and a lower option with stairs to get a little closer for a better view. With a baby and two dogs it was an easy waterfall to visit. The dogs were a little scared coming up the stairs but they did OK.

Excellent spot for hiking, and mountain biking. This most recent visit was not the first and will not be the last trip. Good amount of up and down the trail with plenty seating options for breaks. There is a loop though the brandy wine gorge that is connected to the Stanford Trailhead that i can recommend for longer hikes. All around one of my favorite spots in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park! 10/10

This is a very nice place to visit. The trail to the falls is well kept. It's all wood so it probably gets slippery when it's wet so you will have to be careful. There are a decent amount of stairs so if you are on crutches or wheelchair or just have a hard time on stairs this might not be the best for you. Other than that is amazing. The path takes you right up to the falls.

Wow, this is really becoming a tourist spot! We visited on Saturday around 5:30pm in October and it was packed. We parked half a mile up the street as other cars were parked there too. There was a sign that said LOT FULL, but when we walked down there were a couple of spots open. The bathrooms aren't quite complete as of October 2022, but soon maybe. There were port-o-potties. I've been here when it wasn't so busy, so it's really just about timing as to when it will be busy or not. Prime times, expect to share the view with lots of people.

The falls were beautiful. The hike to them was fun and cool to do. They have fun little boards that share old history. Like the old mill got struck by lightning. I think there’s a parking lot close to the falls if you don’t want to do the whole trail but it’s definitely worth the walk!

If your only goal is the waterfall, it is a quick and easy walk along a beautiful boardwalk path to the falls. But if you have the time to go exploring, the trails offer so much beauty and tranquility.

Great hike we parked at the Boston trail head and Ohio and Erie trail head since all the other parking spots were full. It took us on a beautiful straight tow path trail for one mile and then we switched to the Stanford trail that was about 1.4 miles with two simi steep sloops but they were short and not bad. From there you have the option to take either the 1/4 mile straight up to the Brandywine Falls or go left and take the gorge trail that is 3/4 a mile but at a gentle sloop up to the falls. We opted for the straight up 1/4 mile since it was quicker but it is straight up they are not kidding so if you have bad knees or back take the longer trail. The bridge to the falls was busy and a little crowded but most people took turns and shared the views. Don't forget to finish the loop to the back of falls so you can see the remains of the old electric building that was hit by lighting back. If it's hot wear a hat and bring water, parts of the tails if not most are in the sun. Trail from parking lot to falls and back is 5 miles.

I need the community's help! I lost my wedding ring in the parking lot area on 8/19/23! I have talked to the rangers, made a report at the Boston Mills visitor's center. So, if you have found it, do the right thing and turn it in. The diamond in the center is my 35 year old original. The falls are beautiful and trail is a nice hike!

Very well maintained walkway right from the parking lot. There are some stairs to get down to the lower viewing area, but you can still see the falls from the upper area. Beautiful Falls! Dog friendly!

  • 5/5 Angela R. 9 months ago on Google
Very pretty waterfall. Must see if you are at Cuyahoga Valley National Park for the first time. There is a boardwalk and plenty of stairs down to a hood view of the falls. The walk down is also very pretty with the rocky wall along the boardwalk as you get closer to the falls.

  • 5/5 Loriann C. 9 months ago on Google
A great place to visit. Walkable with clearly defined paths. Some steps were steep, but easy enough. Simply stunning.

  • 5/5 Caitlin G. 9 months ago on Google
Perfect for everyone! A short walk on a wooden boardwalk takes you to the beautiful waterfall (which is absolutely gushing right now, July 2023). For anyone who wants a longer walk, there is a 2 mile loop that isn't too difficult.

  • 5/5 Dana S. 9 months ago on Google
Had a great river walk today, but I have done all trails leading to this and around it and they are amazing. Great views and nice little workout getting up and down the hills. Stick the boardwalk if you don't want a good hill!
