A nice very playable golf course. The greens were very puttable and in great shape. The fairways were plush. Anywhere your ball landed was like it was on a tee. One of the nicest polite pro shop guys I have ever met. He actually walked me out of the shop to point out the first tee. More draft selections than most bars have a total of 7 with lots of craft beers on tap. The only downside were the cart paths were in terrible shape. Hundreds of potholes filled with gravel made for a bone jarring ride. Guys, rent a skid steer once a month and just grade the cart path. I know you probably can’t afford to repave them so just grad them off occasionally.

We recently had our wedding at Briarwood, 9/23/22, ceremony & reception-- I must say that everything was perfect!!! The outdoor ceremony was gorgeous, the grounds were perfect for the hour-long time between to take photos with our photographer; so much so that we decided that we didn't need to leave because there were so many beautiful spots to utilize. They even have a cute patio where we had a cocktail hour with horderves to entertain our guests while we were taking said photos. We booked a little more than a year in advance, and worked with Sara, the event coordinator, over that time. She was amazing. She ALWAYS got back to me in an incredibly timely fashion, she did so much for us that it made it easy for me to basically just show up and enjoy the day... She is seriously SO GOOD at what she does. I am a kind of indecisive person, and she gave me her experienced opinions on issues or  choices I needed to make and really led me through the whole process, from beginning until the end when my husband & I drove off that night, married. I truly would recommend Briarwood to anyone for any event, but especially a wedding. It was so perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything else. THANK YOU SO MUCH SARA, you're the absolute best!!!!! xx.

I have never liked playing this place. This last time when I was there went in paid the fee found out it was going to be $50 thought that was a bit much for this nightmare of a golf course. After a short time we found out that The person that schedule the round had secured a $30 fee. That is still more then I would want to pay for this course, we went in and tried to get a refund. The person inside told us all we can't give you a refund the computer won't do it ( we all know better than that). Some of the people that this happened to live over an hour away and a few live a few states away and will not be using the nine hole pass that they gave us. So this starts the day, then you drive out on the course and find out that they have never maintained their cart paths at all. Many times you have to go around big ruts in the path and get bounced all over the place anyway. The sand traps were not sand traps they're called mud traps or bare spots in the ground near the green. Many of the greens had excessive ball marks and it was difficult to putt around the divots. If I never go back here it'll be too soon.

Course is absolutely terrible. Cart paths are so ridiculously bad that you can’t use them. Greens are rock hard. Fairways aren’t much better. The maintenance crew cutting grass doesn’t even bother to move the 150 stakes when cutting. They just cut around them and leave longer grass near them. I’d give it zero stars but I can’t. Tee boxes aren’t level and they just put one tee tee marker instead of two. Honestly have no idea how this course is still open.

Terrible course! Cart paths were unusable, the sand traps were full of water, and there was no starter so we had single players behind us the whole day. We waved 3 through. Ridiculous. Way too much money for a place so poorly run and in such bad shape. Save some $ and go play Sleepy Hollow.

My husband & I got married on 10.14.2023 & we hosted our reception at Briarwood Golf Club, I cannot express enough how amazing everything was! The staff was excellent, my vision came to life thanks to all the staff who helped put it together! I am so thankful for how everything turned out! I highly recommend choosing briarwood for any party needs you may have!

The tee boxes for white tees are horrible! Be prepared to lose a kidney, spleen or anything loose in your cart on the cart paths. A four wheeler would still have difficulty! Otherwise, friendly service, beautiful scenery and fast greens!

For the price you pay at this course you can play Metroparks courses for a third the price and better cart path and Greens conditions. My foursome all agreed it was not worth the money to golf there again. It just isn’t worth it. And I truly cannot express how poor of conditions were.
