I am not exactly sure how to rate a Catholic cathedral since it is very religion specific. If you are a Catholic, you will love it. If you are not, then perhaps the impressive architecture will impress you. I attended the New Year Mass to ring in 2022. The service was impeccable even though the church was mostly empty. The place is both an architectural and a technological marvel. Each word spoken by the priest comes out clear and crisp. Their Large organ is music to the ears (literally). If you get an opportunity to attend Mass in this church, grab the opportunity.

The only word I can think to describe thus magnificent cathedral is "WOW." This monolith of the catholic community in Pittsburgh is a treasure to behold. The stained glass was a work of art. The stations were intricately designed as well. I couldn't imagine being the craftsman involved in the design. Aside from being gloriously beautiful, the church community was welcoming and the choir sang so beautiful it would put you in awe. I highly recommend this cathedral.

My first time visiting. I went to the 12 pm Mass. This cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. From the outside to the inside it is just beautiful. The service was so nice too.

What a stunning, beautiful place. Even if you aren't religious or aren't a practicing Catholic, it is worth your time to stop in and look inside. It is stunning and beautiful. Built in 1906, you'll see craftsmanship from a bygone era.

Very beautiful church. I really like this type of architecture. Very welcoming to all. I wish I could have spent more time walking around but we showed up during mass.

This is by far one of the most beautiful landmarks in Pittsburgh. The architecture is absolutely astounding and it’s a beautiful building to sketch and paint. Definitely stop by to take a look if you are in the area.

St. Paul Cathedral is a beautiful church. Being close to Pitt and CMU, the congregation is a mix of college students and adults. The priests here usually have a good homily, and mass is typically around the typical 1hr.

If you're Catholic and getting married, you will be hard pressed to find a more grand and gorgeous space to celebrate the sacrament of marriage. So gorgeous and I love working with their coordinator Kat M when doing weddings!

If you truly want a spiritual experience, go to St Paul's. The pastor, Father Kris, is Outstanding and truly loves his parish!! The church, itself, is the most beautiful Cathedral I have ever been in. Everyone should visit at least once, and you will want to return every week.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, traditional Novus Ordo (a.k.a. ‘Ordinary Form) of the Catholic Mass in the ‘burgh, St. Paul Cathedral is the place to go. The Mass is handled with such dignity and reverence here. The 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass seems to be the most well-attended; the 12:00 p.m. Mass typically features the St. Paul Cathedral Choir, which has an extensive, traditional repertoire fit for a dignified Catholic Mass. You won’t have to suffer through “Gather Us In” here—that’s for sure!

St. Paul's Cathedral is the definition of an architectural wonder right in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. I adore photographing wedding ceremonies here and highly recommend it if you are looking for a grand church to get married in near Pitt's campus.
