If you're here for the food, it's ok, but not fantastic. Everything tasting fine but it wasn't the meal you'd expect for a £200 British pounds meal for a 3 course for two with a bottle of wine. But what made this experience worth while and why I wasn't fussed to pay that price was for the view. I came here on my first evening in Shanghai and my first experience of the Shanghai skyline - and it's something that genuinely blew my socks off. The view you get is exceptional from their terrace area, which we always snuck out to in-between our courses and to enjoy finishing off our bottle of wine before our dessert came out. You're about 5 stories up from what I remember and can see all sides of the Huangpu river. The staff were also very friendly and some were English speaking which helped. If this is your first time in Shanghai, I'd recommend booking a table here just for the view.

Then get on the elevator to the 7th floor, the restaurant will be on your left hand side. Tables outdoor are full when we went there but offer great view of the bund while dining. The food is awesome. My recommendation is the Beef Fillet, Australian beef: super soft. The only thing that disappoints me is the price of beverage. Still water costs me 98 yuan which is absurd and I didn’t see clearly where this price is shown but the water is poured from a jug not a bottle. Therefore, this price is a complete ripped off.

Almost had to get up and fetch it myself. He seemed like a lively and amicable guy toward the group of Caucasians sitting next to me. So why the attitude and the attempt to embarrass a specific customer I have no idea. Waiters seemed to have a hard time paying attention to the customer's requests. Amazing views, but M shows its age lately compared to previous visits. Sometimes the staff is excellent, sometimes not. Same goes for the food, esp given the price. Tea is always a safe bet here regardless of everything else. Just needs a few tweaks & renewed focus on consistency.

M on the Bund’s still going strong on its 20th anniversary and I wholeheartedly recommend loosening the purse strings for the excellent food and view of the Huangpu River and Pudong skyline. Would be a solid 5 stars had the service been up to scratch.

Appetizers were really bad service was extremely slow we waited for an hour for our main course the waiter gave us an attitude saying it’s been only 22 mins when it was 50 mins so lost our appetite and left they didn’t allow us to pay which was a good gesture from their side.
