Starbucks Reserve Roastery Shanghai (星巴克上海烘焙工坊店 / xingbake shanghai hongbei gongfang dian) opened in the end of 2017. It located in 南京西路 / nanjing xilu / West Nanjing Road, where the second floor of this Starbucks Reserve is connected to 兴业太古汇  / xingye taikuhui / Taikoo Hui Mall. It is convenient to reach this place by riding Shanghai Metro. You could ride the metro to Line 2, alighting at 南京西路站 / nanjing xilu zhan / West Nanjing Road metro station Exit 3, then walking for about 300 m to Starbucks Reserve Roastery. This Starbucks Reserve with its wide space,  beautiful interior, and comfortable ambiance has two floors. On the first floor, they display and sell variant of coffee product, coffee beans, chocolate, cakes, pastries (my paradise for sure 😉), mug, and the other Starbucks merchandises. There is also Green Bean Station as the first stop for coffee beans, where the coffee beans will be emptied, then transferred until roasting. The second floor is more for Tea Lovers. They provide variant of fragrant tea leaves where we could smell it on the display, and also variant of Starbucks merchandises. To order the food and drink, we could ask the waiter/waitress here for the menu, choose what we want, pay at the cashier, then wait in our seat until they serve it to our table. Here are what we tried : 巧克力麦芬 / qiaokeli maifen  / Chocolate Muffin (CNY 30) Since the first time I saw this chocolate muffin when I looked around the cakes and pastries display, I fell in love with this one. It is a good companion with a coffee either in hot or cold serving. This muffin has a thick cake texture with crunchy crumble, and  filled with melted chocolate. Less sweet and so tasty! 烟熏司考寄拿铁 / yanxun sikao ji natie / Smoked Butterscotch Latte 335 mL (CNY 52) On of the recommended hot coffee drink from Starbucks Reserve Roastery as part of the Roastery creations that we cannot miss. The coffee is served on a nice black mug, consisting of espresso and milk infused with a small amount of smoked butterscotch. The taste is not bitter and less sweet. What a good combination!

You will smell, better to say, you will feel the great coffee smell there. You really feel the difference. Coffee, juices, sandwiches and cakes are tasty. You may find the prices high but it is worth it...

Had the opportunity to visit one of Starbucks signature global location in Shanghai, the reserve roastery. Have to admit it’s one very impressive location with significant attention to detail. Great to watch the coffee bean being roasted. There is a coffee section, a tea area and even a fully stocked bar on the second floor. Tried one of the fancy coffees. It tasted terrible. Like drinking a cup of surgery milk. Would still recommend having a look around.

It's a beautiful building, and the interior is even better. It's the best Starbucks has to offer, and they don't disappoint. There's also a wholesome breakfast menu, along with a wide selection of beverages. Excellent quality.

V big and welcoming vibes. Prices are high but the food and drinks are nice. Expected to have more merchandise but they only have some limited collaboration with a brand. A wonderful experience here.

This roastery is a huge single building near the shopping belt. It's truly an experience walking through, watching coffee beans roasted and sipping on a wide range of drinks and pastries.

Buzzing at both levels. But really love the smell of the coffee upon entering the store. Relatively prominent location as the Starbucks Reserve Roastery can be seen from afar. Beautiful architecture. Great pastries with good coffee. Great afternoon to just watch the baristas roast the coffee. Enjoyed the experience!

Buzzing place with a massive variety of drinks available. Starbucks has outdone themselves with the Shanghai location. It's a real hit among tourists and locals alike, because you have to wait in line just to enter. Once inside, be prepared for organized chaos. Both levels can be packed with people. Stay for the experience and variety of drinks, not for a relaxing atmosphere (it's not peaceful at all). Try the butterscotch latte. Quite nice. Prices are high, but that's to be expected.

Best coffee experience. Worth visiting & be prepare to spend $$$$ as they serve nitro brew & cold brew coffee & most coffee menu is not the typical you can find the normal Starbucks shop. Consider to spend 3 hours to explore the whole building & they're coffee machines around the starbuck. Expect a lot of crowds & you need to ques to enter Starbucks. Those coffee in the tank tube is free to try. Just flow in the cup freely.

This is a large roastery in a prime location and it's always very busy when I've visited. People are always coming and going so finding a seat is always possible. It is very loud inside but still feels inviting. The employees are kind and helpful. They have a large variety of coffees, I'm working my way through them. There is more Starbucks paraphernalia here than I've ever seen, if you're looking for mugs, bottle, t-shirts, aprons, etc. you'll find it here.

I stayed near this roastery during my visit to Shanghai and ended up visiting almost every day. It feels really welcoming, well-designed and cozy on the inside — even though it’s one of the three largest such Starbucks roasteries in the world, I think! The staff are super attentive and helpful without being too pushy or aggressive, and can communicate in both Chinese and English. You really can’t go wrong with any of the coffee choices, which are super flavorful. Highly recommend trying one of their combo tastings. Both locals and international visitors frequent this location.

Dream came true here with a visit to the biggest Starbucks Reserve in Shanghai. 2 storeys high, so large and spacious. Seating capacity should be enough to cater patrons. Lots of merchandise to purchase and I ended up with a tumbler. The F&B section and merchandise section were equally big. Loved the vibes inside this favourite coffeeplace of mine. Also you can watch the making and packing of coffeebeans live too. Worth my time visiting.

Service is great, food and drinks are great, and the atmosphere is superb. The location is hard to miss, it’s quite a big place and the instead feels cozy but can also get quite crowded. If you’re dropping by, I recommend ‘the bund’ coffee. It was so good, but you can also fall back on a matcha latte, can never go wrong with that
