It was free when I went but I must have visited when they were in between exhibits because the only floor that was open was the 5th floor with 1 exhibit. Nothing else was in the lobby or any other floors. It's somewhat close to the Long Museum which costs more but has much better content in my opinion. Maybe check ahead of time to see what exhibits there are so you can make the most of your trip.

It’s the place I have to visit every time when I am in Shanghai. The exhibitions are very interesting in every season. And you could have a lot of the visual artworks at the same time. the museum itself is a very cool building that used to be the power station and it’s the main reason to call power station. The chimney is a huge thermometer. And the exhibitions are available from first floor all the way up to 5th floor. You could keep the whole afternoon for this place. Have fun!

The Power Station of Art is nice enough to visit just as a piece of useful architecture - but it really could do with a little more modern art to fill the place up.

As modern art goes, this was not great. I liked that it was in a repurposed building, but the actual art displayed for the most part was just bad, especially the current photography exhibit.

I enjoyed my visit to the Power Station of Art. In particular, it was great seeing huge art pieces and using the space so well. I was privileged to go into the “chimney” for one of the exhibits

Great art museum with many different changing exhibitions of modern art in an old power plant (very similar to Tate Modern in London). Definitely worth a visit. It’s easy to get to by Metro and is in the old Expo grounds.

One amazing conversion of an old Power station in to a Modern Art Exhibition Space. It is a bit away from the main attractions near the water front at Pudong...but it is definitely a must see if you are an Architect 😉.

This musiem is a must see when in Shanghai. The history contained in the museum is so rich, dating back 2,000 B.C. All the pieces are beautifully displayed.

It was free of charge at the time of my visit. But almost empty. Just big empty space. I was working in similar power station by myself, so it was interesting to see how it was adapted for different purpose. But not worth a visit except if you have things to do close by or special exhibition takes place.

building itself was quite unique but not much to see inside, just one small exhibition about a modern architecture designer
