    Not pleased at all. The staff is a complete mess (check in took 30 minutes despite there being no line) and could not care less about Marriott Elite recognition (I’m titanium), and the cool air in the room does not work. And the staff does not care. This property does not live up to other RC hotels around the world, but disappointingly, is still priced higher than the rest of them. It’s a scam and I will not be staying here again. There are plenty of other 5-star properties (Marriott and otherwise) in the area that cost 1/4 of what this hotel does, but offer a better product and MUCH better service.

    Having traveled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels around the globe, I can confidently say that my recent stay at the Ritz (Pudong), Shanghai, has redefined my expectations of hospitality. From June 1st to 7th, I was treated to an experience that was not only luxurious and comfortable but genuinely felt like a home away from home. Upon setting foot in the stunning lobby, I was instantly captivated by the strikingly beautiful interiors that encapsulate the essence of Shanghai's blend of tradition and modernity. However, it was the warm, welcoming smiles of the staff that truly set the tone for my exceptional stay. The highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the service provided by Erica Xu. Erica displayed an extraordinary level of professionalism and warmth. Her efforts to ensure our comfort went far beyond the expected, transforming our stay into an outstanding experience. Erica's language proficiency, especially her fluency in English, made communication a breeze and helped us navigate our way around Shanghai with ease. Yet, it wasn't just Erica who impressed us. Every staff member we interacted with demonstrated a similar commitment to guest satisfaction. Their genuine friendliness, professionalism, and impeccable service were unparalleled and genuinely hard to find, even at the world's most prestigious establishments. The hotel itself was a testament to luxury and comfort. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with an eye for detail. The stunning views of the Pudong skyline, visible from the floor-to-ceiling windows, were breathtakingly beautiful, turning every moment into a remarkable experience. The culinary offerings at the hotel were also noteworthy. Each dish we sampled was a celebration of flavors, capturing the authentic essence of Shanghai's vibrant food scene. In conclusion, the Ritz (Pudong), Shanghai, stands as a beacon of exceptional hospitality, seamless service, and luxurious comfort. It represents a harmonious blend of Shanghai's rich heritage and contemporary elegance. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to any traveler seeking an unforgettable stay in Shanghai.     Excellent hotel in a great location. Check in staff were fantastic, really helpful. Room cleaning was great, and the restaurant team were super friendly and helpful. The only negative would be checking out, with the staff member clearly needing more training, but overall I would still give this hotel 5 stars.

    Fun times enjoying the 5 stars room and the fantastic food at their lounge. Everything was up to standard, we particularly loved the Dyson hairdryer, Jasmine tea flavoured mouthwash and the Japanese toilet in our room! What excited me everyday was of course the variety of food that was served all day at the lounge with the view of the bund. Its buffet style with a chef there who serves daily special during breakfast, lunch, and dinner time. We stayed there for ten days but the dishes were different everyday. I noticed their menus were repeated weekly, but even on the second week there were some new dishes coming out. Afternoon tea set was yummy, although it's the same set everyday, the cakes were designed with hearts. (Chocolate cake being our favourite) The Ritz Carlton Shanghai Pudong is my 5 star hotel in Shanghai. Look no further!

    Layover, Very Professional Staff, and Kind, Very Friendly Staff, Very Welcoming, following Safety protocols, Very clean Hotel itself and and the Service is top on line, the rooms is amazing and all the foods and amenities are all in here, beautiful place and perfect view from the hotel room

    This is HONEST REVIEW.!!!! While the hotel location is fantastic, the view is awesome. But the service on both bar area (the flair) and the restaurant is terrible, the price of their foods are overpriced, i ordered a grilled salmon for 320 yuan and it was literally just a tiny slice of salmon with just salt and lemon on sides.!! The burgers are overpriced as well for what it is. We went the second time. We ordered 2nd drink and it didn’t arrive, so we asked the waiter for our order they just keep saying YES but our drinks never came. We waited for half an hour and ended up leaving angry and disappointed with the service! We don’t recommend.

    Got a great upgrade and 20% off food with the bonvoy gold. Highly recommended. One thing I recommend to management. The jets in the warm pool are very poorly placed and there aren’t enough of them.

    Great location - shopping mall down there. Great service - they apologize because 10min waiting for the room, and try to offer a lot deal to us: upgrade, breakfast, etc. they also offered a bottle of champagne and cake to my wife’s birthday! It’s same level as Edition hotel, however, edition is not comparable to Ritz-Carlton!
