Great place! Not like the sister hotel in HK but everything works very well. Different kinds of accommodation and some are very pricey, but depending on your stay, you can always negotiate, pretty much like everything in China. Long stays can be much more affordable than in smaller hotels.

The absolute best. We stayed here for 3 nights while in Shanghai and I wanted to move it. Check in is so easy and quick with the absolute friendliest staff. They show you up to your room which is huge!!! It is gorgeous and clean and just really massive! Plenty of room to spread out for sure. Our room had an amazing view of the Bund. They have about a billion charging options in a drawer next to your bed which is great. It’s the little attention to details ya know. The bathroom is also large with a gorgeous tub and shower option. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate any requests and questions you may have. They really go the extra mile to make sure your stay is top notch. I really cannot say enough about how awesome every single staff member we encountered was. We also ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and it was so delicious!! It’s in a great location for exploring Shanghai and the WiFi is fast!! Whole heartedly recommend staying here!!!

View is stunning. Although we were a big group of people, staff was very nice in finding us a table were to stay, without pushing to get a bottle. All the other attendants were cool - the place is definitely poshy.

We had a very simple dinner with families here. The hotel is certainly one of the best we’ve stayed. Although it is not new, the situation of the room and every details of the hotel is still top on notch. The breakfast is lovely and the room is quiet, clean and spacious. We love the restaurant team. They did an excellent job.

The ultimate luxury and service .. it doesn’t get better than this, I m so happy every time I get to stay here. The staff, the opulence, the surrounding, the neighborhood and convenience all makes the price well worth it. It’s quite reasonable compared to other Peninsulas in the world so if you wanna try a chain that normally is doubled or even tripled the price and so this is definitely your chance. The pool and the gyms are so uber exclusive and we were chauffeured in a brand new rolls Royce. I can’t believe it and will definitely stay here again

One of the best luxury hotels in Shanghai! Everything is beyond amazing! Spotless and spacious room. Very friendly and attentive staff. The location is super convenient, and the rooftop bar, where you can enjoy the stunning night view of the Bund, is definitely one of the amenities you can't miss!

Exquisite attention to detail and customer service. I love that the spacious suites have everything you could possibly need including a spa tub, valet service through a locked cubby the goes to the hallway, and tons of outlets. I forgot a charger and they brought me one. Will definitely stay here again.

Room is great with a good variety of luxurious brand stores in the hotel vicinity. Parking is ample, with charging stations for electric cars. Their afternoon tea time is superb, with live music if you come at the right time. Almost forgot to mention that their cupcakes are to die for!!! I dont like their scones thou...

The hotel speaks grandness. I did not stay at the hotel, but I had a seafood buffet at The Lobby. They serve very fresh seafood and great ambience with classy live band playing. Worth paying for the experience at the grand hotel. There was an underground lounge in a hidden stairways, do take note that they have basic dress code to enter their premises. Gentlemen no shorts and slippers.

Convenient location, which is only 100m to the Bund; breakfast is awesome with a variety selection of hot dishes made to order; room is spacious and comfortable; service is excellent as Peninsula brand standard. Impressed with the live music during the tea time.

My favourite hotel in Shanghai. And the best hotel for a light sleeper I've ever been in: all lights are hidden (the smoke detector alarm for example is hidden behind a double ceiling fixture so you can't see the blinking light); at the push of one button all lights go out (completely, no annoying night lights or lamps on phones and light switches), blackout blinds completely darken the room; a double door to the hallway insulates the bedroom from any hallway noise. No other hotel I've ever been to has been so thought through for light sleepers. And next to getting proper shuteye, the Peninsula in Shanghai as probably one of the most beautiful hotel pools I've ever seen in the world, a spectacular art nouveau pool of marble, with a beautiful glass dome and fireplaces. Breakfast in the lobby is extensive and delicious. For a stay at the Bund, I'll never stay anywhere else.
