Decided
to
try
Morton's
on
a
whim
since
we
were
shopping
in
the
area
and
I
had
an
unusual
craving
for
steak.
We
arrived
fairly
early
so
there
was
plenty
of
seating
and
had
a
table
very
quickly.
The
two
stars
are
for
the
service
staff,
all
of
whom
were
attentive
and
provided
great
service.
The
food
was
mediocre
at
best.
This
is
a
Landry's
steakhouse.
We
LOVE
Landry's
Salt
Grass
Steakhouse
in
the
states
and
I'd
expect
at
least
close
to
comparable
quality
of
food
considering
that
this
location
is
an
a
higher
end
area
of
Shanghai.
For
some
reason
I
simply
didn't
notice
the
prices.
For
two
steak
dinners
,
two
glasses
of
wine
and
a
somewhat
tasty
mocktail,
our
bill
was
$330
USD.
I
sent
my
filet
back
twice
after
ordering
medium-well
(don't
judge
me,
I
don't
like
my
beef
mooing
at
me!).
First
it
arrived
about
medium-rare
and
I
sent
it
back.
Then
it
came
back
at
about
medium.
Sent
it
back.
It
came
back
pretty
much
well-done
and
very
charred
on
the
outside,
rendering
it
pretty
much
inedible.
We
had
grilled
asparagus
and
hash
browns
on
the
side.
Hash
browns
were
extremely
salty.
I
assume
it
was
the
manager
who
apologized
profusely
and
offered
us
complimentary
dessert
and
coffee,
which
we
appreciated.
The
creme
brulee
had
wayyy
to
much
toasted
sugar
on
top
and
the
coffee
was
fine.
I'm
still
shaking
my
head
in
disbelief
that
we
paid
$330
USD
for
that
meal.
I've
had
meals
in
Shanghai
for
about
$7
USD
that
far
surpassed
the
quality
and
flavor
of
Morton's.
Don't
waste
your
money
here,
really,
don't.
