At first I thought an Indian restaurant in China wouldn’t taste good, but when I tried it I loved it. I ate there 3 times during my stay. Back to Paris, I couldn’t find an indien restaurant as good as this one. Guys please stay there til I come back to Shanghai !!

Lotus Land... a nice Indian restaurant right at the beginning of Tianzifang, a little arts and crafts neighborhood with old houses and lots of little shops and foodspots. Luckily they have a lot of vegetarian options 😁 I had a very tasty chickpea daal with a chili naan and a carrot drink when we were there the first time. When we visited again with a group of 13, we shared multiple different plates. It‘s a bit pricey, but definitely recommend it

Good Indian Restaurant and superb taste and enjoyed the food and their service. You should try the food in less crowded time and you will really love. Surprisingly so many Chinese come with their during week end and enjoy the food. Their masala chai is really good one.

A very good indian escape in this chinese jungle!

We were looking for a place in Tianzifang to grab a quick vegetarian dinner, and came across this place; we were not disappointed. The Indian food served here is not just good by Shanghai standards - it is good, period. The ambience is warm and comforting, and the food, which was served pretty quickly, was really tasty, authentic and satisfying. Portion sizes were plentiful as well. The owner is amicable and cheerful, and speaks both Chinese and English. The only minor gripe of note is that the location on Google Maps is wrong; it’s pretty hard to find, in a little nook of Tianzifang and up a flight of stairs. It’s best to ask the local shopkeepers to help you find your way there.

This place was excellent! Food was exceptional for quality, great variety and tasty. I had salmon tandoori and the vegetable plate and both were 10/10. Highly recommend.

Have visited this place almost 1.5 years back, and we loved their Chicken 65. I wish I can come back to Shanghai and taste the same. Interior of this restaurant is supercool.

Lotus Land, A good restaurant in one of the busiest area in Shanghai Visited the place with friends. Delicious food with the flavours of India. Reduced one star, as we felt it's the same masala and taste in many of the dishes.

Look for Lotus Land since Google shows it as Lianchi Nanya (Chinese name) Nice place and ambience. Courteous staff. Tasty food. Before and after food do move around the nice shops in this area.
