Great place in Shanghai to experience the origins of their culture and religion. You can even take lessons at the temple. There are some areas where you cannot take photos, be mindful of this. Specifically the Jade Buddha, which is an amazing sight. Restrooms are not western. Inexpensive ticket pricing. No parking, can drop off is on the street. Not wheelchair friendly.

Very quiet and clean worship place for disciples of Lord Buddha. Very well maintained, vegetarian food is also available inside the temple premises. Ticket price is also reasonable at RMB 20

Visited this Place during our Visit to Shanghai . This is a beautiful place and you feel come and you can have a preview of ancient Chinese history and also can see Buddha statues bought from Myanmar here . You can understand the work of shanghai citizens and also the class of their work here .

Popular my known as Jade Buddha temple. Just few minutes walk from metro station. Traditional building in middle of modern civilization. Strong and majestically built

Great inner city village with historical significance.

Beautiful and peaceful. While I'm sure you could get through it fairly quickly, do leave yourself enough time to walk through slowly and observe. I loved that it is very much an active place of worship (so act accordingly). Try to find out before, some nights they have special activities that you can take part of (like practicing calligraphy)
