Carrygerry Country House was an amazing place to stay for our two week trip to Ireland. We had a cozy and nice room and were treated really well from Gillian and the staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating which made our stay so nice. This is a great place to base yourself and to explore Ireland. Easy trip to Limerick, Ennis, Galway and other places. Highly recommend staying here.

We were not really happy with our stay. The welcome was confused as the staff did not understand we were here for the night. The room was not clean, some mold and stains on the carpet and bed linen. It was freezing as the door not really sealed (big slot at the bottom). It was smelly as the windows opening were really small to ventilate the room. Some furnitures were missing in the bathroom to put our things, it was kinda empty. Thankfully the shower was at good temperature and enjoyable. In the morning, we have waited more than 40min for 3 irish breakfasts. We were not the only guests, but they were only 7 other people in the restaurant. That's a bit much for a restaurant used to serve multiple tables (and just for eggs and bacon). We hope it was just bad luck for us, out of a lot of happy guests.

We stayed overnight in this hotel after arriving at Shannon airport. The hotel is beautiful. The room was immaculate and we were lucky enough to get a four poster bed. We didn't arrive until after 8pm so suppe had finished for the day. However, after contacting the hotel they arranged for supper to be available for us and it was beautiful. I'd definitely recommend staying here as the hotel and service were excellent. Just for information a taxi from the hotel to the airport was €20.

We had our wedding at Carrygerry House and we had the brilliant day. The food and service was excellent. We would highly recommend this intimate venue for a wedding.

Absolutely charming hotel with friendly, accommodating staff. My room (the Tower Room?) is on the upper corner, top floor with an incredible view and probably larger than my apartment in Paris! Very clean, with comfortable bed and linens. Shannon Airport is nearby but no noise even seeing the planes take off from my window. Beautiful farmland with horses. Hot breakfast made to order - pancakes were delicious. Small niggles: Water pressure for shower is very low (understandable for upper floors) but bath was wonderful. Would also be nice to have coffee service in the rooms.

Carrygerry is charming for the most part but was lacking in some amenities, such as temperature control... at first overnight it was far too warm, later quite chilly. We were in a courtyard room, the main house might be different. The bed was comfortable and the TV was adequate. There was a vanity table, but there was no lamp on it to see by. On to the dinner...quite pricey at 39 euros for two courses, but really excellent. Everything cooked to perfection. Service is slow, make an early reservation, it takes 30 minutes to have your dinner selection prepared fresh. It is worth the wait. We were shocked a bit by the options at the Continental Breakfast...no baked goods, boxed cereal, small yogurts, pitchers of orange juice and milk, and a kettle for making instant coffee or tea. Not very happy about those choices. A muffin or scone would have been lovely. If you're staying here to catch a flight to Shannon, be advised it is 13 kilometers to the airport and the taxi was 20 euros, an early taxi, 30. The staff was friendly and courteous.

We had a lovely visit! After arriving totally soaked from an adventure, we were greeted with smiles, warm soup, and drinks. Our rooms were comfortable and charming. Breakfast was served with a warm hello and contained delicious options. We all ordered something different and no one was disappointed. The grounds were lovely to walk around and we even met some new animal friends! We will definitely be back when we come to Ireland again.

Old style country house welcoming atmosphere with great hosts and a bar with a good range of drinks. Great breakfast and lovely surroundings of rolling green fields and the glint of the River Shannon in the distance.

Had our wedding in Carrygerry in May 2023, nothing sort of perfect. Gillian, Nial and team were amazing from start to finish. Food was outstanding - our guests are still complimenting the food 🀍 Magical experience between the service, food and atmosphere. Thank you so much Gillian, Nial and Team.

Had an absolutely wonderful family celebration here. We were so well looked after. The welcome, the wonderful food, the bedrooms, the cosy sitting rooms, the stunning setting, and even the toy tractors outside for little ones, it was all perfect. I couldn’t recommend this beautiful place more and Gillian is such a special host. I can’t wait to go again and would 100 per cent recommend to anyone.

Lovely place to stay if you wish peace and tranquility that was why my wife and I choose this hotel, most of the guests are flying in or out of Shannon airport, its surroundings are farm and countryside, fabulous selection for breakfast, hot food made per request, staff polite and helpful, bed super king size four poster which was way more comfortable than most.

As part of a Communion party I was dissatisfied overall, service was slow, and the young staff members were far from interactive, one actually made a face when I asked for more bread with the chowder, we got 5 slices for 8 people! It was 50 minutes from sitting to starter.. And noone serving at the bar, so jugs of tap water had to be endured. Actually couldn't wait to get out. And cattle gate on entrance needs attention, will damage cars, some money should be put back into the property with prices charged.

Lovely country house with helpful and courteous hosts. Well laid out rooms, nice breakfast, good tea and cakes, natural scenic beauty all around, green highlands in pristine white & blue color. Lovely!! The stay was comfortable and warm.

A fabulous 1700's house, secluded in the countryside, but only minutes from Shannon airport, Ennis, and Limerick. Beautiful room, when we open our bedroom door we are out onto a lovely courtyard. We dined in the conservatory looking out onto the surrounding lush countryside, the food was, where possible, locally sourced and cooked to perfection, fish, salad, vegetables, soup, dessert, homemade bread, and very good wine. Breakfast was also served in the conservatory, fresh fruits and cereal and plenty of toast, tea ,coffee, and eggs cooked your way, fry up cooked to order, all delicious local produce. The staff were friendly and helpful and I can absolutely recommend staying here especially if you want to feel like getting away from it all without actually being away from everything!

I'll be honest, there's no public transport but if you've hired a car or take a taxi, it's fine. What is beautiful about this place, is that it's off the beaten track, steeped in Irish history and so peaceful. It's run by a beautiful family and the food is outstanding so it makes for a perfect, relaxing getaway.
