UPDATE: They did in fact give us the full refund I asked for, and the manager called me back. I trimmed the bangs myself and got them into some semblance of order, and the layers in the back actually came out of the salon looking pretty good! I am seriously thinking about getting my own hair cut here, if I’m not banned! Dry cutting with curly hair is very important. Clearly, some of their stylists are deservedly popular, while some are not ready for prime time. Please look at the photos below. This wasn’t even all the mess—when she walked in the door I immediately saw that there were long stragglers on the sides. We are driving out of town tomorrow for a big family celebration tomorrow, so we don’t have time to come back and have someone fix it (definitely not the lackadaisical stylist who did this). This is extremely inconvenient. For this we deviated from our regular Supercuts routine? We demand a full refund. Perhaps the most damaging thing she did was to cut back my daughter’s already too-short bangs, without consulting my husband at all. So it’s back to square one on growing those out. Mind you, nothing can mar my kid’s beauty, but the stylist sure gave it the old college try.

Kali is the best person who's ever cut my hair! She helped me through many awkward stages of growing out a buzzcut twice over the last 4 years. She has given me many haircuts that made it look put together and intentional rather than grown out and messy as I would often come in as. I wouldn't have been able to grow my hair to as long as it is now without her and I continue to see her regularly for a trim to keep it looking it's best!

I have about 3a curls and was a little worried (due to previous experiences) that my service would be rushed and uneven and I would end up unhappy. I went to Talking Headz upon recommendation from a friend and I genuinely loved my experience with my hairdresser Sarah! The atmosphere is chill and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. I got a trim, wash and my bangs done and I was very happy with the results. The pricing is moderate, especially for curly hair, but definitely worth it for the good vibes of the salon. ALSO! The shop cat and dog are ADORABLE!

Have seen three different stylists here and they get it right every time! The vibe is awesome and there are pets hanging out! Cool merch in the front. I’ve never waited more than a few minutes to be taken back. Highly recommend :)

I don’t see enough people talking about Autumn. I have a hard time feeling comfortable with stylists but she is so fun, professional, and gives me a fantastic haircut every time. I feel at home every time I go! <3 also Biggie the cat is a huge plus

Masking policy silently discontinued. Have been getting trims here with nothing but excellent style and awesome treatment by the staff for the last four years, but will no longer be able to. Good luck with long covid, y'all-- it sucks.

Ask for Jensen! She’s so fun to talk to and really understands modern haircuts. Best place in Philly for unique cuts and colors. I would only trust this place to do my modern mullet cut and maintenance.

I do like the hair cut I got. That said it was a pretty common cut, and maybe I'm not used to price point in the city, but to me it was pricy.

I have been coming here since 2018 and I love it. Everyone working there is incredible. They do a great job with my curly hair. They’re so nice. They have a beautiful cat! It’s also really LGBT-friendly which I love. Prices are extremely reasonable. I love Talking Headz!
