Great time today! Chiefs 2X Superbowl Champions! Thanks for a great time!

We were seated immediately upon entering. Our server was there in less than a minute to take our drink order and returned with our drinks just as quickly. This is where the great experience ended. Eventually, she returned for our food order. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We had no silverware and when we asked one person for some, he brought us one set. When we asked our server, she said she'd be right back with them then proceeded to take the order of 2 more tables while I got up and retrieved silverware for the rest of us. The nachos I ordered had no cheese on top! None. I eventually found it on the plate UNDER the chips. The chips had not been heated and the beef topping was dried out and cold. The fish n chips my friends ordered looked like over-battered fish sticks and didn't taste much better. The fries were ok but our ketchup bottle was empty. It was easier for me to get one from another table than to wait for one. Temperature was lukewarm. My other friend ordered a tenderloin which came out thinner than one should ever be but it was hot. I realize we were dining in a bar but the table of obnoxiously drunk and loud people next to us almost caused us to leave before we were done. I noticed their beers were delivered quickly and they had the attention of more than one server. All in all a very frustrating experience. Not looking to return.

Went for dinner with KState playing on tv. Expected a long wait but, to our surprise we were seated immediately. Our server's name was Kira and she did a outstanding job even though it was so busy! The food was delicious and came out of the kitchen in a timely manner. She and Johnny's gets a excellent rating from me. Return visit was not as good. Server brought wrong drink, special was overcooked brought wrong side. Had to wait on server to bring check and it wasn't that busy. Had a coupon and server forgot to apply the discount so had to wait again to get revised check.

Been here a couple of times, service is good. Their salads 🥗 are huge. Love the fried pickles and Moscow Mules.

Ordered a Friday special pizza…meat lovers. Then ordered a deep fried Brussels Sprouts/cauliflower appetizer… Ordered at 420 pm today(11-3-22) Got home the veggies were not deep fried, looked liked stir fried…. The meat lovers pizza had a little bit of meat in the center of the pizza, cheese around the outside. I tried to talk to the Manager…. But no one came to the phone after 5 minutes. I’ve ate here several times… Good tacos, cold beer, nice atmosphere. Tonight, my Togo order sucked. Glory Days pizza/Old Shawnee Pizza/Pizza West pizza was a lot better. Might have been a bad night, but my order sucked.

The pizza here was not good at all. Went after the game a few weeks ago, pizzas were half price. The supreme pizza tasted like a Walmart frozen pizza. Good thing it was only $12!

Good local chain restaurant/bar that does the little things right: good drink specials during the week, good happy hour, good kid meal variety, and always has the game/event on tv. Wings are pretty good, especially the version they finish off on the grill.

1st time eating here. Was excited with the vibe in the place. Chose the chicken strips dinner. It wasn't cooked all the way. The hush puppies were full of grease. The coleslaw had zero flavor. The most upsetting part was the waitress saw my full plate asked if I wanted a box. I said no and she walked away. Didn't ask if anything was wrong with my meal just brought the check and said have a great night. Nothing great about the night I left as hungry as when I came in. In the service industry you should care about your customer. She did not. I tipped her 10% anyway because I know what it's like to be a server working for tips. But it wasn't earned for sure.

I love this place I go to drink and eat there all the time! But if you sit outside forget about service. They never come outside and bringing food out to you. Makes me sad i just want to drink eat and be happy

Always love the wings and nachos (just wish they would spread the toppings out more). My daughter tried the shrimp street tacos this time and thought they were so good! Service can be slow at times and the music is very loud but overall we like this Johnny’s.

Great staff. Always clean, and the food is on point. Also, their daily specials are an amazing deal. I especially like half price burger day on Thursday.

Hamburgers very tasty, server was too long with a few favorite customers so we waited and waited. Restaurant was a bit muggy and smelled swampy. Will definitely return again and again. Fast lunch for a filling hamburger.

So far we have been to 2 of the Johnny's Taverns in the KC Metro and they have both been amazing. Great food and service across the board, and some of the best pizza at any bar I've found.

Great happy hour! Server was great. It was busy so a little slow to get drinks and the music was a little too loud for conversation around a large table. But food and drinks were excellent. Plan to go back for an encore. 👍

Food is good, atmosphere is good. Advertised as a Sporting KC friendly bar, but when I asked if they could put the game on one of the TVs, they were unable to. I don't recommend going here to watch a specific game.

Great place to watch the Chiefs game Excellent food and service What great service. We came in and had our food in under 15 minutes. I didn't realize that the teriyaki chicken was spicy and I couldn't eat it. Waiter immediately offered to make another meal. It's been a long time since I have experienced such great service. The chicken strips platter was awesome.

Was there for a retirement event, so I didn't get to eat. I did enjoy the atmosphere, and the servers were very nice. I don't go out to bars very often, so I was a little shocked by the price of the beer. All things considered, I would definitely enjoy going there again.

The grilled shrimp skewers were pretty undercooked, no grill marks even. The fried pickles and jalapeños might have been in the fryer a little too long. But, the elote salad and guacamole was really good, mac and cheese was good, great beer options, and our server was great -- atmosphere was your typical sports type bar but overall great.

Dirty. Bathrooms were very dirty. Our table was dirty. Waitress gave our 6 year old a big drink instead of a kids drink which resulted in a spill and then when the check came I had to ask why I was paying for an adult size beverage when we ordered a kid sized one that was suppose to be included with the kids meal. (The adult sized one was her mistake).

Visited Johnny's Tavern and was highly impressed. The barbecue chicken pizza had the perfect smoky flavor, while the blue cheese burger melted in the mouth. Topped it off with a refreshing passion fruit cider. Exceptional service made the evening memorable!

Love this place. It’s probably the best place in Shawnee to catch a game. I wish I took more pictures of the atmosphere but they have lots of TVs and a good amount of seating. It wasn’t our first time there but the steak quesadilla is my favorite food that I’ve had there. I’ve found that many places make a dry quesadilla but this was not the case here. Steak was juicy and I enjoyed the tortilla as well. Nice drink selection too. Our server was very friendly and made good recommendations.

Main course was great. Cheese dip came out cold and then they replaced it but came out barely warm. The manager did comp the cheese dip which was nice. Nice atmosphere and lots of TV's. Taco Tuesday night was good. Dollar tacos and they were worth it.

The food was pretty good, except the chili. Avoid the chili. The service was great. The atmosphere was excellent, too. We were there to watch the Chiefs game and it wasn't ridiculously loud and there wasn't anyone yelling at the tv. Would definitely recommend and will go back.

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday and had great service! We only waited 15 minutes for our food that came out hot and fresh. The Brussels sprouts and wings were both delicious! Would pass on their espinaca dip. It lacked flavor and the chips weren’t great. Overall great value.

Great service, great atmosphere, good food. I had potato skins and thought they were very good with the the dill sauce they have, I actually think the dill sauce is great. My son love his bacon cheddar burger and said it was good. My husband had wings and really like them.

Strip mall bar chow. I remember liking the burgers at the original location in Lawrence, but I’ve lost my taste for eating big sloppy messes. On my most recent visit I tried the fried shrimp and found it chewy and salty (and the cocktail sauce was not my favorite). Service was a little sluggish, but it's been better when I've been here in the past. This probably goes without saying, but the dining area is beyond noisy during the dinner rush.

Hostess was very accommodating for our large party on a Saturday night. Our waitress was wonderful as well. Great food, great atmosphere, we will be back.

Our server was awesome. The food was good. Same old sports bar. Nothing has changed in 30 years.

I realized I need to write a great review for Johnny's Shawnee. Been coming here for years on Thursday Burger night. It's an amazing deal! Everything is ALWAYS on point- and consistently good. Kudos to the cook- pay them up right $$- because they are proud of their work! A royal blue fan <3 :)

6 of us stopped by fir a drink after dinner. Waitress was there as soon as we sat down. Gave us menu's and we said just drinks. Great selection of draft and bottle beers. Wine also. We have eaten here many times and food is always good. Great wait staff. Lots of seating, a large room that can be opened or closed off.

Service is very hit or miss. So far we have liked all of the fire we have tried. Beer selection is better than average for a sports bar. They are close enough for us to walk to, so we will be back frequently.

Service good. Food horrible. I ordered the slice of BBQ chicken pizza. The 1st one was burnt and the 2nd one was so doused with BBQ sauce it was messy. Needless to say I am having to eat elsewhere.

Went in on the 4th if July out waitress who had spacebuns actedc like we were a nuisance the moment we sat down. She forgot things and had a horrible attitude and messed up the tabs at the end of the meal.

Large well behaved crowd. Regulars lined the bar and guests cruised the perimeter. Efficient staff and no long waits for a beverage. Know what you want when you step up to the bar, look at the taps or ask for a drink menu and step back. It would help them out a lot. Grab a table if your party is bigger than 4 and quit crowding the people who got their early to sit at the bar. Be polite and go fi d a seat when you're done. Plenty of outside seating with heat lamps and a fireplace. Try The food, it's pretty good and the menu has something for everyone. Visited after the baseball game and enjoyed the heated outside seating. Staff was sparse, but our waitress was a trooper and did a great job.

After a long day of shopping, we stopped in here expecting to be a long wait but was seated quickly. The waitress was very nice and made a lot of recommendations. The Bloody Mary was phenomenal!!! Nice size glass with bacon, pickles, olives and celery for just $5. I was shocked at the price and asked the waitress if it was a special going on and she said no. It’s the everyday price. Great food, excellent BBQ sauce too. Can’t wait to go back.

Fun place. Nice fire pit. Good food. Loud as heck tho on a Friday night. Not complaining, just saying it might be bad timing for someone with sensory issues.

Johnny's is always solid! Pork Tenderloin and Teriyaki Stir-fry.

The Curbside pick up service is outstanding, keep up the great work ladies.

Never been here before. I came with a friend. We didn't order much, however the young lady ("Cap") was very appreciative, respectful, and pleasant during our time there this evening. The food was fantastic (I took a nibble off my friends plate). I will definitely return when I have more time to enjoy drinks AND food at this very clean, and nice, establishment!

You really cannot go wrong with Johnny's. Very good pizza and exceptional Moscow Mules. I like the variety of flavors they offer. Super service as well.
