I cannot say enough about Adam and the amazing set up he has at Factory BJJ. From the moment you walk in through the doors, you know you’ve not only found a great place to train, you’ve found new friends too. The amount of knowledge Adam knows is amazing, and the way he teaches it, even I can pick it up 😂.

I’ve tried my hand at a few different martial arts over the years, and Factory BJJ has by far been the best. Adam has created a community which is so welcoming and relaxed. He’s a great coach, and there’s a lot of experienced guys there who will also help you along the way. I’d highly recommend BJJ as a martial art/combat sport for anyone considering it, and Factory is the best place to learn it.

Deciding to start BJJ in your 50's is probably not for the faint hearted but right from day one I was impressed with the welcoming, relaxed and friendly atmosphere which allayed any concerns I might have had. The teaching is top notch and enjoyable from Adam and the other coaching staff too. Adam is always very approachable and willing to spend time to explain something or answer any questions I might have. I think BJJ is insanely good for you, both physically and mentally, and it’s been a fantastic experience for me. So, if you’re knocking on a bit and want to try a more fun and interesting way of keeping fit and staying young, I can think on no better place or accepting environment than Factory BJJ.

If you are looking to get into a form of self defence or martial arts then I would 110% recommend factory BJJ. Not only is it fun and a great way to stay fit it’s also great for mental health. Adam is an absolute amazing guy who will give anyone the time of day and not let anyone feel uncomfortable whilst there. Regardless of your gender, height, weight you won’t fell left out. Everyone is there to help each other and help improve one and another. The only thing I will say is if you are serious about wanting to do this you will have to invest a lot of time into it (unfortunately I wasn’t but my brother in law is now a blue bet in which he did in 16 months) But Adam will make sure you get there if you devote your time. Trying to get my daughter to go to the Saturday classes as I feel this would be great for her to let off energy whilst learning to defend herself.

I have been training at Factory for approximately 11 months now, and my only regret is that I didn't start sooner. Physically, it has helped me to no end, improving my cardio, strength, and flexibility. Mentally, it is a fantastic outlet after a busy working week, quenching my need for puzzle and problem solving and the satisfying reward of learning a new skill, not to mention the dopamine rush after a hard session. Socially, I have met some fantastic people from all different backgrounds. Them, along with the highly qualified and experienced coaching staff will help you in your BJJ journey. Regardless of your shape, size, age, and gender. Whether you're a natural athlete or have never exercised in your life, learning BJJ at Factory is a no-brainer.

Training at Factory bjj has pushed me to be the best version of myself from day 1. Sometimes it can be daunting to start a new journey/walk into a new environment, but the staff, behind the scene teams and students, who I now have the pleasure to call my friends, make it super relaxed and fun. Pick up the phone and speak with Adam today! You won't regret it.

Great place to train. As a newbie woman in BJJ, I feel both welcomed and challenged in the best possible ways. The coaching team is excellent and very helpful. Safe and comfortable environment to practice. The cherry on top is that the vibes are great (with an occasional MF Doom and other great tunes as soundtrack).

Been training at FactoryBJJ for sometime now. The training space and style is a very welcoming place. Head coach Adam has always been very supportive with a great teaching style. The rest of the factory staff also help to make it a friendly environment to train. 10/10 fully recommend for anyone wishing to start Jiu Jitsu.

I started taking my youngest son Ivan to factory bjj as I wanted him to progress in self confidence and be able to be put under pressure in a controlled an environment. Since joining his self confidence and discipline have come on leap and bounds. The training team are fantastic and the coach Adam dose brilliant job getting the kids to understand the basics concepts of bjj. After seeing Ivan’s development I decided to join and it’s been a great for my personal development and fitness all of the training team are very welcoming. Even though I have started at age 35 they help me understand everything and never had issues while being a member. I would Recommend for every one to try and get involved as it’s great community to be part of.

I've been training at Factory BJJ for around 18 months now and I remember feeling hesitant before signing up for the intro classes. But it has without a doubt been the best decision/change I've made and would highly recommend! Adam is a great coach and is always willing to answer questions and go the extra mile to help you progress. Good tunes and coffee too!

I’ve been going to Factory Bjj for over a year now and can honestly say it’s improved my life so much, not just physically but mentally! It has such a warm and friendly atmosphere, I was quite nervous at the start but they really look after you as a beginner and make you feel welcome! The coaches are so helpful and incredibly patient, there’s a really wide variety of high belts too with lots of advice you can gain from other members. Adam offers an amazing depth and level of training that I think makes the gym unique and stand out from the rest, I can literally go to him for anything and not feel like I’m asking a stupid question. Overall it’s just a really fun and chilled place to go to with staff and members that I can now call friends.

Started the intro course in Summer 22. Quality of the intro course and included Gi is great. Progressed to the White Belt classes now and enjoying the quality coaching from Adam and Pete. Everyone in the classes has been friendly, and patient with me as a beginner.

Fantastic place to train, amazing coaches and members. I've trained at factory for just over a year now and I've enjoyed every session. Adam, the coaching team and all the members were friendly and welcoming when I first started. All in all a fantastic gym and community.

After researching gyms in my local area I settled on Factory as I read lots of good things about the quality of teaching and the atmosphere. The reviews couldn’t have been more true! From day 1 I was welcomed as a fully fledged member of the team and some of the more experienced took me under their wing (still do!). If you’re thinking about it like I was, give Adam a call/message, you won’t regret it!

Highly highly recommend this gym. From complete beginners to black belt. You’re going to be welcome here all the time. Morning and afternoon classes are available. Adam, Steve, Salem are always helpful and the whole team is just class. No matter how skilled you are you are always welcome in the gym. People’s attitude is just fantastic. 10 starts out of 5 👏🏼

Every time I have been down to factory BJJ it has been a great warming experience. Adam is a top BJJ coach and always passes on quality knowledge.

Echoing what a number of the previous reviews have already said - this is a great gym with a great atmosphere. Adam and the team of coaches are approachable and very knowledgeable - also there’s a great mix of hobbyists and competitors at all levels. In addition to the adult classes are the kids classes. My 8 yr old son has been coming here too for a number of years and loves it. Not only is he learning some effective new self-defence skills but also respect, courtesy and an ability to deal with difficult situations. Definitely worth giving it a go either as an adult or for your child.

Regardless of experience or fitness levels Adam and the team are welcoming to all. My 8yr old son trains and is developing real life skills through consistent balanced training. For that reason I found myself also on the mat. The methods of training in the class coupled with the welcoming environment has made bjj something I will have in my life for a long time. No egos, just an extremely high level of tuition mixed with excellent facilities and a warm welcome.

My Son absolutely loves his class here. As a total beginner he has felt so welcome. We feel the instructors are great role models and kind to him which for us is important. He always wants to go and gained confidence since starting.

I started at factory BJJ about 1 month ago as a beginner. I love it, and plan on keeping it up for a long time. Adam is a great teacher, and my son is going to start this weekend as well. The gis provided as part of the joining package are also very good quality. Highly recommended.

Had my first month of BJJ classes here and it's been nothing but a great experience. BJJ is a very full contact sport, but the intro classes are designed to ease you in gently and they do their best to prepare you for the transition to full-on sparring. (The child classes are even gentler from what I understand, but I have no experience with that.) There's also no bowing or other hierarchical "pecking order" rituals here, which I'm thankful for despite my Asian heritage! The coaches are very approachable and down-to-earth and very responsive to questions. Due to new and purely logistical challenges, I've had to stop training here after a month, but if I ever end up moving to the south of Manchester I know I'll be going back here.

Adam and the team at Factory are brilliant! The intro classes were a perfect way to start. There are plenty of classes to attend throughout the week that cater for different levels and abilities. Every person I’ve met at the gym has been supportive and friendly. Could not recommend highly enough.
