The Duffy or the Dufferin Public House was the best patio experience we've had in a long time. 1st off vip section in the back, dog friendly and super adorable. Chef " barb" smashed out some serious home cooked goodness, #goodlot local pints were a hit. I would definitely recommend and will be back soon

Every single time we visit this local gem we are treated like family, and with wholesome hospitality. The owner, Chris, is very friendly and his positive happy energy is contagious. Jesse (server) is knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond our expectations. Never a long wait for drinks or food and always delicious! Overall, staff is incredible and atmosphere is welcoming. A great place to go and unwind.

On the way back from Sauble Beach to Toronto we stopped by this pub The Duffy in Shelburne, a small cute town in Ontario. We decided to grab a quick lunch and we got it there. It was tasty and our waiter was super nice! If you aren’t local and you want to get good food in a nice place you should definitely check out the Duffy (the Dufferin public house). We also had a small dog that was welcomed to stay with us in the patio.

So glad we came here. Cool venue which is a 100+ year old church. Food was delicious, we got the home made lasagna

First time visiting this great little restaurant in Shelburne. Nice to see more diverse restaurant options locally. Good variety on the menu. The bruschetta flatbread for appetizers was delicious. I got the fish tacos for my main and they were great portion size and very tasty. Should have taken a picture of the yummy chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert, but I ate it all before I thought of it. Would definitely go back again to try some more items.

Suggested to by a friend. The guy running Karaoke night was amazing. The staff was super responsive and cheerful. The owner was friendly and always with a smile. If you haven't been... I suggest you go... especially for Karaoke night

Just looking for a light lunch on a day trip with our dog. The patio is beautiful and gardened so nice...my dog was welcomed and give lots of treats and pets. The food though! So good! All home made, and incredibly tasting. Wish we didn't live so far or the Duffy would be my regular spot.

The first thing that calls your attention is the location, a beautiful old church decorated with taste making you feel cozy and warm. We stopped there in our way home and we enjoyed it quite a bit. Their beer selection is good with some local breweries and their food is tasty and well executed. Burgers seems to be their thing and they are tasty, portions are just ok and some other dishes might be a bit a hit and miss. Overall good experience for a burger and a beer.

It was my first time here and I went based on the reviews. Perhaps they were having a bad day but my bread was stale for baked brie, Mac & Cheese was barely warm. Burger was ok, nothing spectacular.

Stopped by as I was passing through town, and glad I did! The food was absolutely incredible, well above expectations! The service was a little slow, but I'd say it was worth the wait. Definitely coming back.

Spoke with the owner and he gave us some amazing information about the place and gave us the specials and was very quick to refill our drinks. I got a handmade hamburger that was HUGE! Plus, a great Potato Tornado with an amazing dipping sauce. Would love to come back and try more menu items. Place is very clean and enjoyable to sit in with a very nice patio.

Wings were great. Staff was super friendly. The no bake cheesecake...divine. I'll be back for a pint and some karaoke...

We happened to find Duffy on the way back from Tobermory to Toronto. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the amazing atmosphere. The outdoor eating area has enough place for large families, small groups, and let owners as well. They have awesome dishes for all types of food lovers, and they serve dishes that represent various global palates.

OMG!!! This is a hidden gem!!! Everything about this restaurant makes us want to go back. We were traveling in the area and stumbled upon this restaurant. The owner, Chris, is terrific and the staff are friendly and polite. The chef is amazing and the food is the best we have had. Try the shepherds pie and the burger and the fish tacos! Very kid friendly and easy parking nearby. We live far but we will make the effort to get back here! Thanks for the memory!

What a lovely and delicious spot! We had the watermelon salad, the Duffy burger, wings and the kids hot dog. The OMG sauce was actually OMG. The patio is so cute and well kept. Staff was lovely too. And excellent value

As some said, the service is top notch and they treat you very friendly. Food was fresh and good portion. We were a big group so, there was some delay however, food came out very good. And not very pricey at all, well priced. They even had live music to top up the great ambience… get a patio table for a beautiful experience

This place is the #1 place to go in Shelburne if you’re looking for food, events, good company and great vibes. I am new to town and have already attended a comedy night and a karaoke night within the past month. The owner, Chris, is friendly and welcoming. The same is to be said of his staff. The service is impeccable. The drinks are well made and all the food is made in house. All the flavours are there whether you want an appetizer or an entree. If you get a chance to visit during the summer, sit outside on the patio. It’s beautiful. And if you have any fur-babies, even better. They give them water and treats as well! The Duffy is a staple for me now and I’ll be going there for as long as I live in this town! They really treat you like family here. Highly recommend 🙂

This bar is by far the best I have been to. The food is delicious and I can't wait for more. It has such a great vibe and friendly service. I would definitely recommend stopping in and having a good time. Definitely get yourself some nachos 🤤🤤🤤🤤

This was actually one of the highlights of our road trip , it's an amazing restaurant and the staff is amazing . The food is incredible and for reasonable prices as well . I would highly recommend this place . Especially if you are going to bruce peninsula and looking for a place to fuel up .

My wife and I both called numerous times to book a table for 10 for Thanksgiving. Nobody even bothered to give us a call back, even just to say "we are fully booked". We did have a great meal there in the past and wanted to return with a larger group. We will not bother again.

I have been going here for years! Great staff and owner (shoutout to Chris for always having events to include the community - comedy night, trivia, live music). The mushroom soup is AMAZING and the home made hot sauce is next level hot. The patio is nice in the summer. It is my go to restaurant in town.

My family and I were coming back from a chilly camping trip and we decided to go to The Duffy for dinner. I had grown children... so we all had a local craft beer. Sunday night was an open mic evening... but with a little bit of singing here and there it was great! The menu was diverse. The staff polite and helpful. We all ordered home made types of dinner - meatloaf and mashed potatoes, cabbage rolls and ceaser salad, burger and baked potato, mac and cheese and soup, and the like. Everyone was thrilled with their dinner. And the owner has a crazy hot hot-sauce if you wish to spice up your meal. It was a very nice dinner with ample food. A great evening. Will definitely iytely go back again on our way through.

Date of Visit: Sat Sept 9th The Location of this restaurant is inside an old church in the heart of the town of Shelburne. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived. And the waitress was very inviting when we arrived. She was very pleasant, attentive, and sociable. They were having a special on their burgers when we were there so we ordered the Jalapeno burger & mediteranean burger. The food was good, the beer was cold, the atmosphere was cool, and the service was great . Prices were very reasonable for the items they have on the menu. They have a lovely outdoor patio for dining although we did not use it as it was late in the day.

Food & service was great, everything is made fresh! The jerk wings with some honey garlic sauce on top was a great combination.

The Dufferin Public House is open for business! We visited the Duffy on it's second night of service. The current decor gives the place a very loud ambiance. Not the place for a soft discussion. The table service was very quick and friendly. The entrees ordered included the pork shank, meatloaf and BBQ wings. Of the three our only comment was that the wings could have been more crispy. The other entrees were well prepared and portioned. Suggest that they consider providing hand wipes to patrons whom order wings or ribs. Glad to see that the soft opening was sucessfull👍

The Duffy has a wonderful menu of hearty and unique meals.

I love The Duffy!! Great spot! Chris really cares about his customers, and has worked hard to create a warm and welcoming environment. It’s by far my favourite spot in the area. Great food (thanks Barb!), and a good selection of beers.

Went to the Duffy on Friday Oct 2nd at 9:30pm. Walked in and it was definitely different.. Maybe I am a bit of a princess.. But definitely not my type of restaurant environment. We stayed.. But honestly debated on leaving. My husband had the burger they are known for. He liked it.. I had nachos They were good but not what I was expecting. It was more like have a nacho n cheese dip from the movie theater.. But with home made cheese sauce. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Honestly don't think we will ever go back..

this place must be part of the good ol boys club here in town cause it was nothing special tonight. 3.5 hours late the food was extremely cold one entire platter charged for and forgot a meat order (they sell bulk) which was getting delivered with our food tonight was forgotten.. like we didn’t want to eat the good food you certainly charge for i’ll never be ordering again, i guess money can buy a few good reviews!
