This pub is hidden right in the neighbourhood, a minute walk from the Go Train station. The food and service was excellent. The only draw back of sitting on the patio is the view, other people's backyards. However, that being said it didn't affect the atmosphere for us.

Great little restaurant, we had a large group and they managed us very well. Food is always great and it's a positive and fun atmosphere!

Company was better than the food honestly. I haven't been to Tanners since moving from the area years ago. Sad. It was so good way back when. Still love the staff and vibe. The bruschetta was amazing. The rest was just okay. Will keep coming though as selection is limited and I prefer to support local.

Tanners catered my wedding last weekend and I couldn't be happier with them. Andrea answered all my questions (and there were a lot) and understood when the total number of people kept changing last minute. I had a couple guests with dietary restrictions (celiac, allergies, etc.) and those were taken very seriously and even separate dishes were prepared. All the staff were so amazing, professional and fun! The food was fantastic and all our guests were messaging me about how good it was the next day! Jaime did an awesome job bartending! I could go on and on. They truly exceeded my expectations! Thank you all so much for making our day that much more special!

I had the pleasure of having Tanners cater our 120-person wedding this past August, and I must say that Andrea and her team exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Andrea's professionalism and attention to detail stood out. She took the time to understand our preferences and vision for the event, and her expertise guided us through the entire process. Her warm and accommodating nature made the planning stress-free, which is priceless when you're preparing for a wedding. Our company was in town for a photo shoot and we ordered catering for 20 people. Initially reached out a week in advance and Andrea was very accommodating, even as everyone had different orders and special requests. I especially appreciate the last-minute accommodations for adding on a couple extra orders! Came to pickup the food at the time specified and it was ready on time with everything labelled with each person's name. The portions were very generous and prices were really reasonable. Everyone on our crew was happy. Thanks so much!

Was here yesterday mid-afternoon. Wasn't busy but had to wait 45 minutes+ for food for my fiancée and I. After about 40 minutes, fries were finally delivered to the table. Once everything else finally arrived, we agreed the food was decent but nothing to write home about. The service was horrendous. Waitress barely checked in regarding the wait or to refill drinks. Considering how long we had to sit there before the food arrived, you would think this would be a given. Was clearly more interested in having casual conversation with regulars than doing her job... Disappointing experience overall. If you've never been here, don't bother. You won't be treated with equal priority. A shame because this place came highly recommended by a local. Never again.

We absolutely love coming here for a nice meal! Jaime is an absolute gem and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. Food is amazing, the atmosphere is great. The summer time patio is a whole nother layer that needs to be experienced! Thanks guys !

A huge shout out to Andrea and the Tanners team for catering our party for 70 people. Outstanding quality, abundant quantity and a fair price, all prepared ready on time and delicious. This is the second time using their catering service and we can’t say enough great things about dealing with them and the personal passion they put into their food and service. Can’t wait for Tanners patio season to open.

Amazing experience. I called to place an order for my husband to pick up as he got off the GO train - so conveniently located. The staff who answered were so friendly and helpful, so I was already impressed. The pickup experience went smoothly, and the food was SO GOOD! The fries were nothing special, crispy and nice, but the burgers were absolutely incredible. Definitely a new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to go in summer and enjoy on the patio. **Edit - the patio is the best. It is a really cool atmosphere and we enjoy the live music 🎵

Based on review rating my husband and I thought we would try Tanners for lunch. I had a Tanners burger with fries and my husband had fish & chips. The burger patty was overcooked (black on one side) and really dry. The chips were over salted. My husband's fish was overcooked and hard and his chips were way too salty. I am not one to complain but I wanted to provide an honest review. We will not go back as the quality of food is poor and this restaurant is definitely not a 4.4 as rated.

Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The food was fantastic!! Live music also on the patio! Make reservations in advance if you want to sit on the patio!

This place is amazing I have always loved going here good food and drinks but most recently I had my son baptism party there..Andrea the owner was so amazing and accommodating … they all made us feel Soo comfortable and feel at home, the food was amazing and the workers were great as well… 100% recommend this place for a private party or a lunch/dinner with friends and family

Just had the most AMAZING Paddy's Day ☘ celebrations at Tanners for St. Patrick's Day! I can Never fault the food ..... totally delicious..... even as take out through covid..... it was worth the "drive to Acton". Live music, attentive,friendly staff and super atmosphere! What a lovely touch to get a complimentary "pint of d black stuff" for being 100% Irish ☘🍺😉

We went in during the week on lunch time, had a baby with us. Bartender just dismissed us and send everything full. Didn’t attempt to even look just said go and see if you can find something. We find a spot and she says sorry it’s reserved. Maybe if you helped us out and showed us and looked for us like hostess supposed to do then we wouldn’t have sat down. I just moved to acton and this was a horrible first impression. Won’t be coming back

Ok food Ok service Staff often appear rushed and overwhelmed. Overall decent place but they run some odd hours and are often closed way to early. Nothing special on the food menu,the usual pub grub. Basic drinks offering.

Best in the Halton Hills Community! We were introduced to Tanners almost 2 years ago by our best friends. They had been telling us that we needed to make the trip to Acton for so long, but we always stayed in Georgetown. Wow!!! We were so impressed. We have been regulars ever since. The food is outstanding. The service is fantastic. The standard menu is amazing, but if you're craving something a little bit different, the specials are always great too. A creative, fresh menu that never disappoints. But what truly sets this pub apart from the rest is the combination of great food with the staff. Andrea is an incredible chef. Jaime is fun and a true pro! And while we are settling for take out, they have upgraded packaging to keep your food crisp and warm, while being green. This is an easy 10/10 that we should have written long ago

Tanners a busy restaurant with quite a big patio at the backyard. We did not have any reservations and hence, were seated inside. It is a quaint house restaurant in a local village. First time seen this. Inside, pretty nice and cooling. Seatings were socially distanced. Great for a quiet and peaceful dine-in. With minimal staff, trying to work around with speed, is commendable. Although our orders took some time to come, it is worth the wait. Staff are customer oriented and friendly as well. The special, BBQ Chicken Thighs & Ribs with Mashed Potatoes Cake, were amazing delicious and fall off the bones. So were the Beer Braised Yorkshire Pudding. Have eaten Yorkshire pudding, but never tasted such good pudding. The portion is just right and so is the pricing.

Best catering in town (or should I say in all of Halton Hills). Ordered catering for a small get-together and the food was simply amazing! The pesto chicken was out of this world. I highly recommend Tanners for all of your catering needs!
