This gem is kind of hidden away in Bridgewater. You almost wouldn’t know unless you go seeking them out. We went here for a late Valentine’s Day supper. The food was super tasty, well priced and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend 27 South. 😊

Last visit was super disappointing. My friend ordered her beverage and I was still looking at menu to decide on mine. Waitress walked away but didn't come back right away to take my order. I walked over to counter and let her know what I wanted. When she returned with drinks I let her know that we were on lunch. She then walked away without taking our order. She returned a couple minutes later and took our order. I ordered salad and chicken quesadilla. By this time it was 20 mins since we sat down. Our reservation was at 1. Sitting at our table we here the bell for pick up. One girl goes in kitchen door as other girl with food coming out. We hear a smash and a "oh no". We are sitting there thinking it was our food that just went on floor. 2 mins later our food comes out. I would maybe suggest next time that the waitress explains what happened instead of us sitting at table wondering if it was out food that was just picked up off floor. When our meal was delivered I had to ask for a to go container cause I literally had 10 mins to eat. The food has always been great here...that's not my complaint. The service the past couple of times I would say could improve. I would also recommend telling the people eating at your establishment that there is a lunch card available. Each time you go you get your card punched. I have been there three times now and not once did I know about this reward. My parents were the ones to tell me. I called the restaurant to ask and they confirmed. When I mentioned that this was our third visit the lady just said to ask the waitress next time for a card. No mention of show us proof and we will punch the card which would have been another nice offer. Disappointed

We had a great dinner at 27 South, delicious food and wonderful service! The lobster dip and lobster roll were perfection. Super friendly and accommodating staff made us feel welcome at home.

The food & service is awesome, their Legendary Mustang burger is a must have, the best burger I've ever had, plus many more items on the menu delicious!!😋 very very good food!!

This restaurant is a hidden surprise.We discovered it while staying at the Best Western when we first moved from Chester to Lunenburg 2.5 years ago. Every time we go the food is exceptional and our last visit was no exception. I highly recommend 27 South to anyone who appreciates 5 star food at a great price, delivered with a smile.

My husband, two adult daughters and I had two spectacular meals the 27 South. The mushroom ravioli, the battered fish, the seafood chowder, the steak and fries were all absolutely delicious! Service was excellent, especially Tammy who provided recommendations on the menu as well as some local activities. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. We also had two breakfasts as part of the hotel booking and those were top notch as well! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 months. I enjoyed the food and staff from this restaurant so much. My personal favourite was the Roasted Veggie Wrap but it was all delicious. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. It’s not home but it was a decent replacement while I couldn’t cook my own food for a few months. Thanks for the hospitality and being my kitchen away from home for so long!

food was ok, service wasn't. No waitress refill the water. And a very big dog was in the restaurant.

Solid place to have a meal. The patio is nice in good weather. The staff have always been friendly and speedy. The fish tacos are excellent, and their fries are delicious.

We sat outside on the patio, which we had all to ourselves. It was a lovely sunny day. My sister and I shared the Cobb salad and we both loved it. The dressing was great, light with a hint of citrus. The staff were super friendly, yet professional and prompt. My first time there but my sister returns often with friends.

My husband came for your lobster roll and he was not disappointed. The housemade lemonade was awesome too.

My wife and I are in Nova Scotia during there thanksgiving time. So naturally they offered thanksgiving dinner. I was hesitant but went ahead and ordered it anyway. Big mistake. It tasted like a tv dinner. I asked for more gravy because the stuffing was very dry and they charged me extra which was kind of weird. A bit disappointing to say the least.

Decided that we need to try other restaurants in the Bridgewater area and googled it. Went to 27 South on Good Friday with our son who lives in the area. Very pleased with the food and service( hubby wanted his fish cooked differently than the menu had, chef was very accommodating) , will definitely be back as my son said that this should be our favourite from now on! Thank you,27 South, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable meal.

A group of six we had a weekday lunch. Food included breaded wings starters, special of the day chicken curry with rice, fish and chips, chicken salad and soup. All food is freshly prepared by the on-site chef and was really good. Curry portion size was adequate but the dish lacked a side such as naan bread or the like. Desserts were declined as pictures at the table showed really small portion size which we knew to be the case from past experience. Overall though, a really good meal which will bring us back.

Try the lobster dip! Wonderful meal, and friendly staff. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the mustang burger. Both were delicious, the lobster dip could be a bit thicker but the flavours were phenomenal.

This was our first time there. It was our 33 anniversary. The service was awesome and the food was fantastic. Thanks so much and we will be back!

Had dinner at 27 South while staying at the Best Western. Probably the best hotel restaurant I've experienced. Great staff and service, excellent food, and reasonably priced. Tartar sauce is made in house and is AMAZING. Same for the split pea soup. Definitely recommend!

We went for their Turkey dinner special. The food was good but we waited 30 minutes for the meal and then another 15 minutes for dessert. Others walked in and were served immediately, the same plate, and left before we even got our dessert. We were not impressed. The service was deplorable!! We will not be going back!!

We were there on an extremely busy night. You would not have guessed it though. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and more attentive than I would expect with a full dining room and an event next door. Food was cooked to perfection. It's so nice to have scallops that melt in your mouth. I was impressed with everything. Even the veggies were perfect.

Food was good quality and reasonably priced. Comfortable space and good service.

Couldn’t seem to get a table here, but I got takeout while I was staying at the hotel, the food was great :) the desert was amazing :)

We were here for a late lunch. It must’ve been an off day or staff in the kitchen is new. We ordered the tuna bowl and a spinach salad. First, the avocado in the tuna bowl is beyond edible. How could they not know an avocado is too hard while slicing it? It was harder than an apple, I couldn’t bite the slices in half. I couldn’t believe they would serve something like that. Sadly, too, the tuna and everything else (quinoa) was at the bottom of the bowl which did not look appetizing. Needs better presentation. Use a different (shallower) bowl if you are just going to serve (very) little portion. I ordered grilled chicken as extra on my spinach salad. The chicken had great flavor and texture. What killed it for me was that everything was drowning in dressing. My salad had strawberries, pineapple, candied pecans (ok I get it’s a sweet salad) but add to that A LOT of honey orange dressing and you’d be overwhelmed, too. The tuna had the same problem. Please stop putting too much dressing. Such a common mistake. I’d rather have my guests ask for extra dressing than kill the dish with too much. We appreciate they took off half the the price of the tuna bowl but we still walked out of there with $55 less in our pockets, (for bowl, salad, beer and iced tea) and very unsatisfied. It felt like a total waste, sorry.

Definitely a best kept secret. I think the trend of destination restaurants housed in hotels is becoming more commonplace and this is certainly one of them and should not be overlooked. The location is casual, informal and includes a nice bar with stools. There is a very nice cobblestone patio that would be great to return to in the summer months. The prices are very fair if the beer are a little expensive. There is enough variety on the menu to suit anyone's tastes and if you have good taste you will want to try everything. The food is always hot and fresh and produced with care. Each dish I had was fantastic in it’s own right. Even with such a varied menu they offer an enticing special almost every night of the week. If there is one criticism, perhaps the premises could be more upscale to better reflect the cuisine.  Great staff, a young friendly crew that seems to know the menu and are always happy to help with the orders.

Stop what you are doing. Go to 27 South and have their lobster dip. You're welcome!!! And the customer service is amazing too.

It's difficult to find but worth the search. I came here during the summer so we got to enjoy the patio with great food. I think they should marketing more about this place because their menu is really great.

The food is really good - very rich and tasty chowder and good lobster roll. However, for the level of this place and prices they charge, place itself looks like requiring some renovation and decor. Worn out furniture, atmosphere like in a cheap fast food place, some improvement is required there for sure. Place is not romantic at all.
