This is a great book store with lots of ambiance. It has a cafe inside that I didn't try but the food smelled good. The selection is really good and the prices very reasonable.

Fantastic selection of used books, vinyls, and so much more. I would have given 5 stars if the lady that checked us out was courteous. She seemed bored and overly unfriendly. My wife (disabled as well) bought 8 small books, a very heavy book and a few others small items. She was given 1 plastic bag for the 8 small books with a large hole in it. We didn’t ask for a new bag or another bag because the clerks demeanor was not pleasant and also had ignored a question my wife asked while browsing for a title. Fortunately the store itself was very good. A couch, chairs, stools and tables for working on laptops along with free wifi! There is a small eatery inside with a few chairs. Prices were reasonable and with such a huge variety of unique items to browse, like stickers, buttons, coasters, shirts, etc. it’s got something for everyone. There is even a kids area with books. The inside is really nice and there are some beautiful murals on the building and another building in back. Disregarding the clerk, I recommend this bookstore as it has a lot offer. There is handicap parking on the side of the building and plenty of parking in general.

I have passed this place for many, many years and I am sadly now just getting an opportunity to go inside. This is such a nice little gem in the Flint area. They have a nice little selection of books on a number of different topics. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Many unique books which are hard to find other places. They have a little café area I didn't try but it would be nice to sit in for a moment, alone or with someone. I will definitely plan on coming back in the future.

My first time there. Heard a great talk on how mural art can increase visability and property values of commercial buildings. Wonderful selection of books, vinyl records, CD's and art work.

We had a great time here! Found a couple of neat old books for presents to people, got to chat with two really interesting authors, and I already want to go back! This bookstore is a gem: great selection, great vibes, and good people.

What a beautiful and open space! I visited Flint for the weekend and my partner and I stopped in Totem to grab some books and records. They have such a wide range of books to select from and numerous super cozy sitting areas to read your good finds at. I could have spent all day here! They also sell cool trinkets and other soothing products like incense, crystals, and sage!

I go there every other week with my sister. We normally get tea maybe some records and then sit and write or read. It's a great place to unwind and discover new music or rediscover old music and books. It's a great place to be!

Great vibe. Glad to meet a couple of local authors and a few artists today. We even had the authors sign our books today. Thank you, Heath Lowrance & Conner Coyne.

we were helping my friend an attorney bring some books in for donation. We had on dirty clothes because we were helping as moving men. We were looking around while waiting for the donation and he acted like we were not supposed to be there. I love books. I have thousands of dollars in books. The owner is a solid bigot to size my son and myself volunteer to help someone just to be treated like a vagrant because we had working clothes on. Very crass behavior. I know to never come in here again I am a solid graphic artist and content creator. If he can judge my son and I based on our clothing. I can judge him by his actions toward my son and myself.

Fantastic selection of used books. I’ve been able to find several ‘classics’ and many new releases that are already on the resale market. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to help. And, it’s across the street from the White Horse, bonus.

Stopped in just to see what they had since it was my first time. This is a very nice bookstore, there is a wide selection of books and records and everything is pretty well organized. The store was well lit, clean, and the staff was nice. Would definitely stop by again.

I'm going though s**t-tons of my junk and my mother on law's junk and gathered up a box of books. I'm thinking to myself, WHERE on earth can I take these where they might be useful . . Oh, I know . . Maybe Totem. Just down the street a bit. They even took the 1953 General Motors Institute (now Kettering) yearbook! Next time I may indulge in bubble tea!

It's not every day--through these kinds of encounters--that you meet a retailer as generous and gracious as Justin at Totem Books. In resolving a purchase issue, Justin went above and beyond to solve the issue. I cannot recommend them enough. Doing business with them was an unexpected pleasure.

One of the few places you know you're safe and they have good vibes in. Would stay in the basement and become a rat there but unfortunately I can't. They also have cute knick knacks here and there, the good shelves and a large variety. Absolutely stunning to chill out in.

By far the best deals on classic books I have ever seen; every book I bought had amazing quality, especially considering the age of most of the books. They would easily be worth double anywhere else. They genuinely have the best deals for books possible. Amazing staff too, super kind. With my experience with the store, it's a must-visit bookstore.
