Thank You Zoe and Nathan for your assistance; it was truly appreciated. I received a refund for my burnt cookie and a replacement along with a cinnamon swirl and they were delightful this time!! Thanks Again!

I have health problems and switched to a vegan and gluten free diet which has tremendously helped with the chronic pain and inflammation. I ordered from Gluuteny for the first time a few days ago. I love the convenience of being able to go on their site and choose something that I like without having to worry about the ingredients. Their food is amazing!!! It's almost hard to believe it's gluten free or vegan. I will definitely keep purchasing from this bakery. Anyone who wants to complain about the price I want to say this: These prices are not exclusive to this bakery! All gluten free and/or vegan food is expensive no matter where you go. They also have distribution costs, employee wages, insurance, building costs, supplies and whatever else that goes with running a bakery. So before you complain consider what it takes to make something like this available to people who can't eat regular food without consequences. Thank you Gluuteny for the delicious treats!

I lived this place at one time and always paid too ! For their gluten free treats. I would often volunteer to get the pies and surprise people when I told them it was gluten free. When I was last in I was shocked at the prices and the fact that gnats were all through their cases on the food they were selling in the middle of winter. The ridiculously priced cookies weren’t even good. I hope they get back to what they once were bc now it’s just disappointing. Updated reply for my honest review to owner: I do not always shop myself and I use to bring family and friends with me. Your prices were outrageous a few months ago and I only shop local. Since you are a small shop does that mean it is okay to have rude staff and gnats in your food cases?! Trying times does not justify $40 pies. I gladly bought your over priced gluten free goods when I was created with a smile and the food was worth it.

I've been going to Gluuteny since before the pandemic. When I was nursing my son, we discovered that he may have some food allergies, and I was forced to cut dairy, eggs, and soy from my diet. That was tough, but Gluuteny made it incredibly easy for me to stick to that. Just last month, I used them for my son's 3rd birthday party. I needed vegan cupcakes that I knew he would enjoy. I was able to purchase to red velvet vegan cupcakes and he loved them! The only thing I wish they had are vegan yellow cupcakes. This doesn't take away from their 5-star rating for me, though!

First things first, I highly recommend this place. Everything we had was moist, flavorful and creatively put together. Second, I made the mistake of reading other reviews - solely because I was so surprised by their 4.1 stars as of now. So I'll do a bit of defending here :) Here's our order on 5/30/21: - Pockets: 4 Pizza & 4 BBQ Chickpea - Bagels: 4 Plain & 4 Cheddar Garlic - Muffins: 3 Banana Nut & 1 Blueberry - Donuts: 3 Coconut Topped & 1 Raspberry Topped - Cupcakes: 1 each of Red Velvet, Toasted Almond, Lite Espresso, Carrot - Dessert Sampler: 1 each of Hollywood Square, Vegan Brownie, Vanilla Cake, Vanilla Cheesecake, Funfetti Gob My family and I are road tripping cross the country, so this was a planned destination on our way through as we're vegan and I'm gluten intolerant. I've got great support and this was a treat for all of us during our week long stay in Pennsylvania. Not everything was eaten in 1 day - but we came really close to doing so... I would recommend everything we had. If I had to pick one to say "Maybe skip it?", it would be the Lite Espresso cupcake because my partner ate it so fast I never got to try it. Seriously though, I was blown away to read the negative reviews. (It only makes me wonder if there are multiple bakers, and one or more aren't pulling their weight.) Simply put, we all loved this place and felt so inspired by all the creative options that we are looking forward to creating on our own versions when we arrive at our destination, a la Nailed It :D

The baked items were fairly good but they were very dry, we stopped by on a Sunday after lunch so perhaps they were not so fresh by then. The icing was really hard and crunchy on the cupcake, my brownie needed to be washed down with a ton of milk and the snickerdoodle was burned on the edges but the middle was good. This place is expensive as well and if you are not vegan or like 93% of all Americans and can process gluten without issue then I would go somewhere else as the high cost vs. quality just doesn’t work out. I usually compare these types of places to the Bakery by my home in Oakmont and this is a place I would not recommend and will not visit again unless I was sure I was getting a baked good that was 10 min from being pulled from the oven. I’m sure part of the cost is all the vegan/no gluten stuff but if you are a carnivore like me with no issues with gluten there are better places in the area. I did like how they support the LGBTQ community, that is a positive thing to see.

I travel from the South Hills for my very favorite gluten free treat….the white almond cupcakes are to die for! The almond batter pairs perfectly with the smooth creamy icing. Garnished with shaved almonds, it gives the cupcake just the right amount of crunch! Definitely the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten. :)

Really pleased with everything I’ve had there so far! I’ve gotten carry-out and order ahead cupcakes and they are always extremely satisfying. Some other favorites are the peanut butter chocolate layer cookie and the donuts. The staff are kind and on one or two occasions were happy to serve us even after they had closed. The savories are good too, but I go for the sweets. I avoid gluten, dairy, soy and egg and it’s nice to be able to buy baked goods instead of having to make them all the time.

I see continued improvement here. Good vibes and treats to drool over! If you'd like to experience bliss by chocolate, this is the place for people like me who just can't mess with the gluten! Their brownies are absolutely delicious and their cakes melt in your mouth. I love their new half off display for day old treats, too. And now that Whole Foods got rid of their chocolate peanut butter bars, I will definitely buy Gluuteny's Hollywood Squares more often. So glad. So good.

Celiac disease runs in my family, and I have been buying the amazing Gluuteny Bakery goods since they first opened! Every sweet and savory product, including mixes, has been consistently delicious, and all my custom orders have been perfect. I feel confident ordering anything off their extensive and continually expanding menu. Enjoy!

I absolutely love Gluuteny! I like all of their cupcakes and bars, but I especially love their Gluten free, dairy free iced decorated cookies. I do not live in Pittsburgh but every time we visit our daughter, I have to get Gluuteny cookies and treats!

Neither my wife and I have any issues with gluten, however she insisted that I try their chocolate brownie I was a bit hesitant at first, but once I got there and saw how nice their bakery goods look and how professional they are my mind changed, I got excited to try the deluxe brownie. And as always my wife was right, it was absolutely delicious.. I could have never guessed it was gluten free or suspected anything! This place is legit, my wife's co worker has celiac disease and suffers severe symptoms if he eats anything that has even been near gluten, the baked goods from here give him absolutely no problems! This place is totally legit and they deserve 5 stars all the way.

👍👍 I make it a point to try every breakfast spot I can around Pittsburgh, in search of the best. I have a top 5 but this lil gem just slid into the #1 spot out of the 30+ places we've been to. Atmosphere is a little diner with 1950s Hamilton Beach Milkshakes, sit on the Bar stools for the full experie...

👍👍 Don't let the looks of this place fool you! They have amazing food! The chicken wings are phenomenal. The wings are the breaded style if you like that. The seasoning they use is out of this world. Their salads are really good too (pittsburgh style of course).
