Gurudwara Gaughat Patshahi Pehli is a place where guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj came here. Around 1515 Guru sahib came here and on that time satluj river passes through from this place. The Nawab of that time come to guru ji and pray for to sort out the satluj river problem. Then guru ji said you justice with your villagers and it will gone 7 km from this place.you will feel calm and relaxed here. Langar is also available here for devotees or sangat.

Gurdwara Gau Ghat, on the banks of river Satluj in Punjab, is the place where Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited in 1515. Nawab of Lodhi, Jalaludin was the ruler, who along with his courtiers met the Guru and requested Him to save the city from erosion caused by the Satluj river. Guru ji replied to him, that if he servea his people by doing justice, Satluj river will move 7 miles away from the city and this place will become prosperous. In this way Gurudwara Sahib, on the banks of river Satluj in Punjab known as ‘Dariya Ghat’ got the name ‘Gau Ghat’.

This is a historical place of worship which is blessed by the presence of GURU NANAK DEV JI in the year 1515 A.D. The then ruling emperor Jalal khan visited guruji and told him that this SUTLEJ tributary is creating nuisance by passing through the city. Guru nanak devji, asked him to carry on with his worship, this tributary will move away in due course of time by 7 koh (about 14kms), and this place will remain only with a small rivulet by the name budha dariya (old rivulet). This a very big place as far as area is concerned. Inside the sanctum marble needs renovation/ change which gives it a pale look. Also proper illumination lacks inside the premises. All sikh faith people go and pay their obeisance and respect and feel blessed.
