An excellent place for a short break. My ideal programme: Start your day in York with : A lovely pastry and coffee outside the beautiful Minster.(The East End) There are two excellent outdoor coffee shops. Go to the West end of church and ask for directions to the nearbyTour of York bus stop. Normal advertised price is Β£16 per person.( Ask politely for their lowest price and you may get a discount price of Β£10 each ...keep that to yourself though!) Enjoy this great guided bus tour...do it as many times as you like in 24hours. Now have a gentle walk along the amazing Shambles, visit the Shambles Market and then have lunch by the River Ouse, either your own lunch or a bought one. Enjoy visits to the lovely parks or go for a FREE visit to the National Railway museum. ( A mans paradise, sorry ladies...although you would love the Pullman carriages on show) Walk along the city wall...that's a lovely experience. There is loads more to see and do...even a Fashion Outlet on the A64 !. You will love a weekend in York. Dont tell too many people though or the queues will be too long.

Excellent tour at a very good price. I took it with my husband and 2 kids and it was very informative, entertaining and a welcomed pause after a day of walking around. Nick, the guide was very knowledgeable and we all learned lots! Actually, I would recommend to start with the tour so then you can have the time to enjoy each of the stops from the beginning or plan visits to the places you found more interesting.

We had a great day seeing York from the open bus. Only wish we had started a little earlier in the day so we could have enjoyed more stops along the way. The tickets are valid for 24 hours and they give you discounts on a variety of other York based attractions. Well worth the money!

The tour bus is great, I have used this company in many cities and countries and will always choose it. There is a guide on the bus who will go over everything in English but there are earphones available with audio guides in other languages too. Very friendly staff and well worth the price as you can get off and have a closer look at any spot that interests you and get back on another bus when you're done to continue the tour. It covers York quite thoroughly!

Typical British weather with sporadic down pours in York. So decided to do the hop on and hop off bus tour Good price and very informative and at the right pace I managed to get upstairs despite the crutches Would definitely recommend

Great little town that has a weekend away written all over it. Lots to do and see within walking distance of the centre

It was minus 2 degrees when we boarded the bus, but if an open top bus is operating in the winter months I would have expected the frozen seats upstairs to have been cleaned to avoid getting wet backsides. I appreciate there is undercover at the front of the bus upstairs, but the windows were also frozen so you couldn't see a thing. As it's a sightseeing tour, and I like taking photos I had to sit on a frozen seat in the open resulting in a wet coat.

Booking this made our York experience even better. We got off at different areas and got to see most of York.

An excellent way to see and get around York. The drivers give live commentary and are incredibly informative and entertaining. If you are lucky enough to get Keith as your driver, you're in for a fun tour! He's great! Highly recommended.

Nice tour, easy to book, very informative tour with some good historical info. Staff were friendly and approachable. Goes around a part of york and some neighborhood which was uninteresting, Only covers a part of york though and the bus was a bit dirty. But good value for the money.

Just sad that my knee was not up to exploring more...... so much to do and most at a reasonable price. York is a fiberant city and well worth a visit for young and old.

You want the Blue bus as you get a real person rather than an automated voice. Some great views of the city and interesting stories. Tour takes about an hour. Kept my son and myself entertained as we gave our legs a rest. Didn't attempt to board with wheelchair or pram so unfortunately cannot shed light on accessibility here.

Took the 'hop-on hop-off bus trip' on the first morning which was a great way to start a four day stay. There was also a free walking tour that we joined on day three & was also excellent. Very knowledgeable guides on both occasions.

Lots of details and loved it. It was a rainy day and yet this trips helped me to complete the York visit on a high note.

We've visited York dozens of times over the years but never been on a tour bus. It was great, we were first on at 9am, there was audio commentary which sometimes was 'out of sinc' due to traffic delays. However, later in the morning & also in the afternoon the two tour guides were excellent. Very friendly & informative. I've given 4 stars not 5 because I think the price of Β£16 is a tad expensive. But 5 Stars for tour guides & drivers.

Really enjoyed this, the guide was very knowledgeable and the pass lasts 24 hours so we used it over the Saturday and Sunday.

Really worth doing as you get all the information as you drive along the sights. Its a hop on hop off service which is great. If you have any trouble getting around this is the perfect way to see York. You can just sit for a hour and take in the view. We took our little dog on the bus and she loved it too.

Fantastic bus tour! Our tour guide was incredible. Not only sharing the history in york but reccomending places to go with our dog. I would highly reccomend using this bus service to get around. It was easy and convenient

Great way to see all the attractions York has to offer, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and I'm still amazed at how much they can talk! Although with how small York is, you probably wouldn't go on it much. We did the circuit once but then ended up walking everywhere as things were so close.

Loved it! A little chilly but it’s October! We loved our tour guide he was super funny, entertaining and was providing interesting information! We actually stayed ok the bus for the duration due to the fact it was interesting to hear the history. All members of staff were super friendly from the guys we got the tickets from the bus driver and tour guide thank you!

The tour bus is a great way to see the city. You can negotiate a little on the price. The top desk gives the better views. Keep your eyes open for the cats. You can get off and on as often as you want, our driver was very humorous.

Friendly and lovely staff- the bus driver and the presenter. Not so long journey, I think about 50 minutes for a full round (only about 4 to 5 stops people hopping off and on during my round). Did few rounds with stopping at different attractions. Did learn a lot from the talk on the bus.

Very good. I liked live commentary on board. There were headphones, rain covers, maps available.

A 2022 leaflet would have been helpful. We were given last years, which had different timings. However the guide, Mark, was informative and light hearted. The anecdotes were brilliant. Well done.

Great Hop On Hop Of bus service to enjoy and experience York City from an open top bus. Although this ride is included in your york pass you will have to collect your ride ticket from its exhibition square stop. One trip of the entire york city takes around 45 min and you will get a bus every 15 mins. I would say this is must if you don't have your own transport. Recorded audio guide was good but it would very intresting if they can arrange for some live guide.

This was a great tour of york and chance to see famous parts of york. The tour was very interesting and great photo opportunity and great way to get around. The staff were friendly and helpful. Weather was damp but still enjoyed. Only thing would have made better would be live tour guide as find these are better and more entertaining.
