Had quite a heckling experience at this homestay.. never book this homestay by oyo.. oyo will show you low price and when you reach this homestay they will deny you room and make you wait unless you give them extra money to book room...two stars because rooms are good and bathrooms are clean..

The behaviour and hospitality of the lady named Jenifer, there, was really worth the 5star that is given to the homestay. Her hospitality should be given a special mention, especially in a situation when all her staffs were at holiday and she had to do everything by herself. The food was fresh and nicely cooked. The room (named The Nightingale) had an excellent view, with balcony attached to it. The washroom was clean and it was too with a view😃. It is located at an appropriate place which is away from the cacophony of the main town whereas the centre of the town is just 10-15mins away from the homestay. So, overall it was a pleasant stay at the Bird view. Planning to stay here itself on our next visit to Kalimpong.❤

Positives- Nice budget hotel, food is ok, hospitality of staff is good, room was nice, spacious and clean including washroom. Located on main highway. My husband and i booked this hotel via oyo in rs. 1113 in a deal. So according to cost room was fine. There is parking available inside the home stay for a 2-wheeler. The receptionist was very cooperative. He parked our vehicle in and out every time. We stayed there 2 nights. Overall it was ok. Negatives- As the name suggests, it's not a hotel, it's a homestay so the receptionist will lock the main gate so u cannot go out after 8 pm. Though markets, shops and restaurants close at 9 pm leaving a few. There is no fan in any room. Kalimpong is not very cold in june so we felt the need of fan. Also in my direct sun rays were falling right on the bed which made the room even more hot and uncomfortable to sit on bed during day time. Curtains were very thin. Restaurant is expensive. A cup of tea costed rs. 25 and one aloo paratha rs. 40 which was expensive as it was small and no taste.. Made out of maida which no potato filling. One day it was fine but the other day we were not able to eat it.

We stayed for two days. On first day it was OK, food was good but quantity was very less and rates were high. In one room TV recharge was not done, so it was not working. On 2nd day Geyser socket was burnt because of that no hot water was there, they arranged wash room in another room, while using it one water tape which was already leaking was damaged and owner of the homestay blamed us and we were asked to make payment of RS. 700/-. Entire family argued and ultimately we had to pay. No servant was engaged. On second day no house keeping was there in room, will not recommend to anyone.

Our stay at the birds view home stay at Kalimpong was wonderful, comfortable and homely. The behavior of staff from reception to departure was par excellence and can be compared with any 5 star hotel. The quality of food also too good and as per choice. I suggest the visitors with family to opt for this homestay. Location is wonderful and nicely located close to the town.

Had a wonderful experience staying at The Birds View Homestay,Kalimpong ...Felt a total Homely ambience during our stay...The reception ma'am and all her staffs were very friendly nd helpful....The homestay has well maintained spacious rooms,Mountain view facing big windows...Restuarant is also quite spacious nd well maintained... Would love to visit Kalimpong again nd definitely stay at The Birds view Homestay.

Experienced Very good and homely behaviour. Rooms are spacious with good view and very clean and foods are very delicious and fresh too. Reception and services are very satisfying

It's a nice place for a stay . Food is really too great . Rooms are very cozy . I just loved it . I will definitely recommend for a stay here with an utmost hospitality. Happy stay at Kalimpong.
