Shimodate
yakisoba
served
before
strawberry
picking
at
Strawberry
Land
Chikusei.
Strawberries,
which
naturally
produce
green
seaweed,
are
a
perfect
match.
I
wanted
to
go
strawberry
picking
and
when
I
did
some
research
on
the
internet,
I
found
that
most
places
in
the
Kanto
region
were
fully
booked
the
day
before
or
on
the
day
of
the
trip.
Meanwhile,
"Strawberry
Land
Chikusei"
in
Chikusei
City,
Ibaraki
Prefecture
was
empty
and
it
was
a
hidden
gem,
so
I
headed
there
by
car.
I
drove
for
about
an
hour
and
got
close
to
the
location,
but
I
suddenly
realized
that
I
hadn't
made
a
reservation,
so
I
looked
it
up
online
just
to
be
sure...
Reservations
are
full
and
there
are
no
vacancies!
!
!
I
was
reflecting
on
my
poor
preparation,
but
since
I
was
so
close
to
it,
I
decided
to
go
ahead
with
no
luck...
Surprisingly,
he
accepted
me
easily.
However,
since
we
arrived
after
2:30
p.m.
and
hadn't
eaten,
we
decided
to
postpone
the
start
time
by
30
minutes
and
go
to
Nakayamaya,
which
is
about
5
minutes
away
from
the
strawberry
farm.
.
A
restaurant
specializing
in
yakisoba,
which
is
rare
among
restaurants.
Apparently
there
is
something
called
Shimodate
Yakisoba.
I
thought
it
was
easy
and
perfect
before
eating
lots
of
strawberries,
so
I
came
here.
When
I
went
to
the
store,
it
was
a
small
store
with
three
groups
of
customers
in
front
of
me,
and
some
people
were
sharing
their
seats,
so
it
seemed
like
the
store
was
frequented
by
a
lot
of
customers.
The
only
menu
item
is
yakisoba,
which
costs
300
yen
per
person.
From
there,
you
can
increase
the
quantity
by
adding
100
yen.
If
you
still
can't
measure
the
amount,
the
owner
will
bring
you
the
actual
noodles
and
show
you
the
increased
amount
right
in
front
of
you.
I
ordered
it
for
500
yen
and
Tsure
ordered
it
for
300
yen.
The
yakisoba,
which
was
served
in
about
5
minutes,
only
had
cabbage
as
an
ingredient.
There
is
no
meat,
and
you
will
be
served
with
plenty
of
seaweed
and
shichimi
provided
at
the
table.
The
noodles
are
chewy
and
have
just
the
right
texture.
It's
more
delicious
than
the
street
food
yakisoba,
and
even
better
than
the
home-cooked
noodles.
I
guess
the
low
price
is
the
biggest
point.
I
can't
say
it's
exquisite,
but
I
think
it's
a
great
meal
to
fill
up
your
stomach
before
strawberry
picking.
I
think
it
would
be
better
if
they
added
a
little
more
ingredients.
By
the
way,
I
ate
it
with
a
lot
of
green
seaweed,
so
I
had
a
lot
of
green
seaweed
in
my
mouth
(lol)
After
finishing
my
meal,
I
immediately
put
on
a
mask
and
went
strawberry
picking.
As
you
eat
dozens
of
strawberries,
the
green
paste
in
your
mouth
will
naturally
wash
away.
Shimodate
yakisoba
with
plenty
of
green
seaweed
and
strawberry
picking
go
perfectly
together.
I
love
picking
strawberries,
so
I
would
like
to
enjoy
strawberry
picking
at
Strawberry
Land
Chikusei
again
with
Nakayamaya's
Shimodate
Yakisoba.
By
the
way,
at
``Strawberry
Land
Chikusei,''
you
can
eat
white
strawberries
called
``Tenshi
no
Ichigo.''
If
you
want
to
try
the
rare
white
strawberries,
I
think
it
would
be
best
to
try
yakisoba
from
Nakayamaya
before
that.
Since
it's
a
rural
area,
there
aren't
any
other
delicious
restaurants
nearby
