😠 In the mornings a machine tells you to ring back later, then on ringing back the same morning it says only emergencies are being dealt with. On a previous occasion I rang with an emergency in the afternoon but was told to 'get off the line unless I needed an ambulance'. Surely that service is 999.... People often mention appointment, phone, call, time, told, service, surgery, doctor, appointments, book,

In the mornings a machine tells you to ring back later, then on ringing back the same morning it says only emergencies are being dealt with. On a previous occasion I rang with an emergency in the afternoon but was told to 'get off the line unless I needed an ambulance'. Surely that service is 999. Ended up in casualty under my own steam the next day. This Kafkaesque appointments system has plenty of room for improvement. Medical staff are kind and helpful if and when available.

Possibly the worst GP's surgery around the local area. Claims that phone lines are busy then simply cuts the line dead asking you to call back later. Iv been stood in the doctors and rung this number ... And suprise suprise no phone rang yet I still got cut off as phone lines were too busy. When you eventually do get through you have to do a hop skip and a jump to get an actual appointment.

Tried calling at 8 waited for 2 hours on the phone with no answer, called later, reception was on lunch and told to call 111 who after 7 hours said i needed to contact my GP, HOW THE HECK AM I SUPPOSE TO DO THAT IF YOU LAZY WORKERS CAN'T ANSWER A PHONE!!. I have already paid for the NHS and you cannot give any service. Might as we die because thats the only time the NHS will answer, with "its not our fault" will be taking this higher as you're taking our money but not honouring the service. Fyi its cheaper to but whiskey and pills than get a decent NHS service. And an apology is not good enough, either give me a service or refund all my national insurance. Edit: now they want me to waste more time contacting the surgery even though 111 couldn't get through. Glad you all got your pay rise, you do not deserve a penny. Furthermore, reading reviews is not your strong point, I said I will be taking this matter higher, because you're surgery doesn't take calls.

Rude doctor (same one on two occasions) and very patronising. Refused to speak to me for my fathers illness, even though it is clear in the system that my father has approved this, but the doctor did admit he hadn’t really read the notes. I explained I had managed my fathers illness for two years and never had any doctor refused to speak to me, to which he said “they must know you” which I found strange as he suggested authority from my father was a legal requirement, so, in saying doctors must know me, insinuated his colleagues broke the law because he couldn’t see approval from my father. The first time I was lucky enough to speak to this doctor, he suggested that cream I needed for a life long skin condition wasn’t suitable and I should try other things (all have been tried over 30 years) I am currently in the process of issuing an official complaint directly to the NHS because this doctor is not fit to speak or deal with members of the public. It’s a shame because every other doctor I have dealt with are professional and extremely helpful

I find the staff in the surgery very condescending and sometimes I find the doctors over the phone not helpful and very patronising In their tone as if you're bothering them when you're concerned over your health. I'm sick of covid19 with it being in its endemic stage of making appointments over phone when you're concerned over something that needs seeing in person. I do feel the pandemic has made keyworkers more entitled and more unhelpful towards people more which is a shame. Covid19 shouldn't overrule and take over other diseases in regards to appointments.

Shocking surgery. Almost impossible to get appointments or return phone calls. I understand all GP practices are struggling, but this one has no leadership and has lost its compassion completely

I have just tried to book an appointment for my son and waited for over 30mins to speak to someone and have been told they only deal with online forms now. I am utterly disgusted beyond belief. This is everything that is wrong with the world today, I'm absolutely fuming that I can't just call the doctors for my son and get an appointment. There are no words that can describe how angry I am. I am switching GP practices and anyone who wants to use a GP does not use this GP ever! After being a patient here for most of my life, I am absolutely shocked. The doctors here are great and helpful but the place is run by profit makers and people who obviously don't care about the wellbeing of the patients. Disgusted, absolutely disgusted!

I have tried to arrange a GP appointment multiple times with this surgery and it is virtually impossible. I have rung first thing at 8am to log my place in the queue as instructed. However, it just plays a long recorded message then says we are experiencing high volumes of calls please try again later. It then cuts out. I have gone into the surgery to try and book an appointment only to be told they can't book appointments at the desk! I have tried booking via the online system and it says no appointments available. This system is not fit for purpose. I have 2 chronic health conditions including end stage renal failure. I am not trying to get an appointment for a little sniffle. I have significant symptoms and am very unwell, yet can't even get a 5 minute telephone appointment with a doctor. No wonder A&E is overrun. Ridiculous service that I fear will end up costing patients' health.

Don't bother. They book you into the wrong appointment after weeks of trying to get one and both my young children, half the time, end up in A&E or admitted to the hospital children's ward because they are, according to Modality either 'not ill enough' to be seen by a GP, or because they don't diagnose/treat correctly/in time. One Dr told me over the phone I was an over-anxious mother in regards to my concerns about my 2 year olds respiratory symptoms and another said he had a urine infection (my child was then in hospital for over a week with pneumonia and a cavity on his lung). Their advice this time, without even seeing my child, is to put my 5 year old on long term paracetamol and wait until he gets an infection as a Dr won't see him as he's not urgent. The nurse doesn't deal with this type of issue and they won't make a referral. Im taking him to a private specialist now, he can't go on like this in pain. It's been 6 weeks. I'm also still waiting for a response to my complaints from April. It's sickening that you need to speak to someone and you just can't - they don't even call back anymore and just send text messages, which isn't even appropriate for healthcare, especially when dealing with young children. update: we are 3 months into waiting for a referral for assessment for ADHD for my child. I have put in writing specifically and VERY clearly, under the Right To Choose to be referred to a specialist service - the response Ive received is that they will call me back in a week's time to re-refer to paediatrics at Airedale. Clearly dismissing my request. I am so angry at the utter ignorance of this place.

I am absolutely disgusted with this place. I had to call 111 regarding my spine and had to go to ane. Tried calling 4 days in a row now and requested a call back only to not have one. I wouldn't mind if it was just a cold but its my spine and my anti depressants I am concerned about and to me it's important. I genuinely think there is noone there. And when u do get through to someone they tell you to call back. This is my 6th time now on the phone to them. Disgusted with this service.

Spoke to a Very rude, abrupt, unprofessional receptionist staff, lack of empathy towards vulnerable patients who don't have access to online and do not know how to use online services to book appointments. When you do call your on hold for under 2 hours and still they do not book you an appointment. If you ask too many questions/challenge them they will put the phone down on you. The service is unacceptable and very poor.

OK. Waited for about 8 hours for a phone call review for my meds. Waited. Waited. Then get a text message. Oh you never took our call. OK. What call. Checked. No one called now have to book another appointment which as its going could take another month

it's an absolute joke. You're busy all the time. There is a real idyll at the reception and you refuse to register patients at the window. You refuse to book an appointment with a doctor. I am asking by what right do you deny me access to the doctor at the reception desk? On the phone they keep telling me I'm over 30 in the queue. How is it possible that at 12:30 there are only 3 patients when you are so crowded. What you are doing is y morally unacceptable and you neglect your patients. If you refuse medical help and do not answer the phone then you should close your clinic immediately and stop drawing money from the NHS. Do people have to die on your doorstep for you to help them?

How do I get an appointment? Phoned at 8am every morning this week, and by 8.05am I recieve the answer phone message that they are only dealing with emergencies. Never had any complaints about the staff/ doctor's they are amazing but getting an appointment seems to be impossible these days.

I waited over 2 hours for a call back. Very disappointed to be told that I should ring 111 or go to A&E if I I felt my symptoms were life threatening as no doctors available for the rest of the day!

wont even tell you if its safe to take medication with the medication your taking, do they actually do anything there and is anyone qualified. Duty of Care seems lack of completely Kicked me out of the surgery today after asking me to come and and discuss problems i have with them, where they had no intention of listening, they have twice refused a SAR request by myself with some ridiculous excuse and refused an antibodies test that will prove they told false information to a patient. So be careful you complain they get rid of you

Reading all of the previous reviews and responses and agree with every single one. A service that isn't serving it's purpose and quite frankly making people even more ill. Even the cut and paste responses to ALL the reviews here suggest they contact the surgery using a link to a page that says: "Due to technical issues access to register as a new patient online is currently suspended. We are sorry for any inconvenience, whilst we work to resolve these issues. If you wish to register as a new patient, please visit your chosen surgery and request a registration form." ABSOLUTE INSULT TO UNTREATED INJURIES

I've had no problems with this practice. Always been very polite and honest. yes sometime you have to wait but with the current situation it's understandable. Always been seen or spoke to by a gp if and when needed. Thank you all for the fantastic work you do. Xx

always very quick to call and arrange an appointment with GP or to deal with any queries. kilmeny has been my GP my whole life and I've never had a complaint.

Getting an appointment at Kilmeny was always a struggle, but since they became part of Modality it got worse. Hard to believe but painfully true. I haven't been able to get an Appointment in Years and the last time I did (2010) they couldn't help me and I had to go pay for Therapy privately.

Doctors don’t care, wife had a 1to 1 appointment which took 5 minutes she then asked about another problem and was told make another appointment even though she had 10 minutes left of her appointment time no wonder AandE is bursting at the seams gp doctors should work shifts and longer opening hours to help more patients like they do abroad. Kilmeny is a minus one star service.

My experience is the same as everyone else's I guess. I have a question is it possible to leave the practice and go somewhere else. People should vote with their feet to make positive changes. I'm worried if I leave I will end up without a GP .
