Don't
bother.
They
book
you
into
the
wrong
appointment
after
weeks
of
trying
to
get
one
and
both
my
young
children,
half
the
time,
end
up
in
A&E
or
admitted
to
the
hospital
children's
ward
because
they
are,
according
to
Modality
either
'not
ill
enough'
to
be
seen
by
a
GP,
or
because
they
don't
diagnose/treat
correctly/in
time.
One
Dr
told
me
over
the
phone
I
was
an
over-anxious
mother
in
regards
to
my
concerns
about
my
2
year
olds
respiratory
symptoms
and
another
said
he
had
a
urine
infection
(my
child
was
then
in
hospital
for
over
a
week
with
pneumonia
and
a
cavity
on
his
lung).
Their
advice
this
time,
without
even
seeing
my
child,
is
to
put
my
5
year
old
on
long
term
paracetamol
and
wait
until
he
gets
an
infection
as
a
Dr
won't
see
him
as
he's
not
urgent.
The
nurse
doesn't
deal
with
this
type
of
issue
and
they
won't
make
a
referral.
Im
taking
him
to
a
private
specialist
now,
he
can't
go
on
like
this
in
pain.
It's
been
6
weeks.
I'm
also
still
waiting
for
a
response
to
my
complaints
from
April.
It's
sickening
that
you
need
to
speak
to
someone
and
you
just
can't
-
they
don't
even
call
back
anymore
and
just
send
text
messages,
which
isn't
even
appropriate
for
healthcare,
especially
when
dealing
with
young
children.
update:
we
are
3
months
into
waiting
for
a
referral
for
assessment
for
ADHD
for
my
child.
I
have
put
in
writing
specifically
and
VERY
clearly,
under
the
Right
To
Choose
to
be
referred
to
a
specialist
service
-
the
response
Ive
received
is
that
they
will
call
me
back
in
a
week's
time
to
re-refer
to
paediatrics
at
Airedale.
Clearly
dismissing
my
request.
I
am
so
angry
at
the
utter
ignorance
of
this
place.
