HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone of any age! Great for kids who love trains as well as adults wanting to learn or look at prices of history! The carriages on show have been used on many TV programs & films. Also situated in a beautiful part of the country surrounded by fields and the Yorkshire Lanscape, 5*

An amazing display of carriage rolling stock and even items of intrest on display, along with you being able to go inside most of preserved carriages and a steam locomotive (Lord Mayor) they have on display see how they looked back in the day when they were running down the railway line.

We went here to make a donation of Railway memorabilia from my Uncle after he had passed away. This Museum carries masses of information about the railways of the past and is very educational. Would recommend a visit to this Museum.

Impressive museum with thoughtful exhibits, archive materials, and a decent shop, especially for books on the subject. I brought my young son and he had a great time exploring the carriages and shouting "choo choo train" repeatedly at the top of his voice while diving in and out of the different carriages. There's another museum at the other end of the car park and you can get a ticket that admits to you both. I really feel like they may as well just pretend to be one museum. Together they punch above their weight for the quality of their well preserved exhibits and friendly welcoming visitor experience.

This is not your normal rail museum. The collection is almost entirely passenger cars. However, these cars all have both history and a filmography. All the cars have featured in movies and or television shows. To hear the stories of famous actors appearing out a window or sitting in a particular compartment is an unusual aspect of this museum. There are other elements to this museum, including a magazine shop with items dating back to 1901. These include some of the earliest examples of railway magazine publishing, and that alone is a huge draw card. The on-site team is wonderful, helpful, and friendly.

Lots to see and explore inside the carriage works, there are plenty of information posters provided, as well as a DVD playing in one corner and a few interactive talks inside the carriages. The staff were also very knowledgeable and more than happy to answer any questions. There was a gift shop available with an extensive range of books and magazines related to the railway, all of which were very affordable.

Good collection of old engines and carriages, and there's even a small loco you can climb into the cabin of.

This is a small museum, but well worth a visit. There are several historic train carriages that have been used in period dramas, and visitors can go into some of the compartments. We loved exploring the carriages and sitting and taking photos in the compartments. There are recordings connected with the period dramas in some of the compartments. Visitors can also climb up onto a steam engine and see the controls. We had less than an hour to spend here, but we could have easily spent longer - I hope to visit again.

Worth getting admission ticket which is inclusive with rover ticket on KVWR . DIDNT SEE AT BESTas undergoing updating of exhibits but info boards informative and ability to enter vintage carriages a real treat to see how people used to travel. If film buffs info in carriages about what film stars sat where and for what films. History of railway on video fascinating and showed completely differrant approach to health and saftey. If railway buff excellant magazine archive going back at least 20 years that you can purchase. Staff friendly and more than happy to chat about restoration and exhibits. Very small second hand railway stand but not usual stock.

Went for the Flying Scotsman cab visit (which was excellent) and enjoyed entry into the museum. Very interesting information and exhibits, especially the carriages that had appeared in films and TV shows. Nice journey to Oxenhope via steam train through Haworth (can stop along the line and rejoin the service when you wish). Fantastic day out

A fabulous little museum; staff were very friendly. Carriages are in exceptionally good condition and being able to sit in them makes it very unique. Definitely worth a visit; some of your favourite TV shows may even have been filmed in them!

I was lucky enough to visit this museum for free during the In Motion transport festival, particularly enjoyed the vintage carriages that often had access allowed! They have been well restored and the information boards are highly informative, similarly to signs showing what the networks were like in the old days. Other details are included about the rail networks, such as catering and usage in media, that too captivated my interest. The staff were friendly and made me a piping hot Latte, in the shop that I also bought two steam books for just 50p each!

12.11.22 - Great museum and great cause. Visited to view the carriages used in the Granada Sherlock Holmes series and wasn’t disappointed. The gift shop kept the daughter happy too. Highly recommended.

Great railway museum focusing on carriages through the ages. Interesting slant here is the carriages are accessible and labelled as to which TV and films they were used in.

Definitely worth a visit if you've a Day Rover ticket for the KWVR as this give free admission. Good that able to go inside some of the carriages - look out for the blue armchair in first class. Also look out for the display listing all the TV and films in which the carriages have been used - bet you've seen some of them on TV. Volunteers very helpful.

In a world, increasingly conscious of ecology and zero carbon, I have been wrestling with the love of heritage railways and fossil fuel consumption. The Vintage Carriage Museum, eased my emotional concern greatly. The coaches have been restored magnificently and are a credit to the craftsmanship of the volunteers and artisans alike! I wish this Museum continued success with its mission.

Love visting this museum. Its not on the same scale as York but everywhere is packed with railway trivia, name plates, old warning signs, a good selection of carriages and a lot of information. iF you're traveling on the KWVR definitely stop off at Ingrow and take a wander here

Small but packed interesting bits and pieces. Stop in the carriages for audio stories. If you have a rover ticket you will get in free.

We travelled from Haworth to Keighley on the train and on the return journey stopped off here. A great place to get off the train and have a visit. Railway carriages that have been used in many tv dramas and films. A little gem for anyone interested in railways. Jumped back on train due to arrive and continued the journey back to Haworth.
