Loved every minute of our stay at Stony Broke Cottage which is more than worthy of it's 5 stars. Perfectly located for visiting the North Yorkshire moors and coast, Whitby is only a 20 minute drive away. The Cottage is immaculate and very well equipped, beautiful enclosed garden with views to die for and very secure for our dog. Lovely welcome with fresh farm eggs and locally made bread, owners Sue and Simon gave us some great ideas for places to visit and local walks. We had a fabulous day out at Danby agricultural show, lots of attractions for all the family, our cocker spaniel Jenny, won first prize for cutest puppy!! We didn't want to leave this wonderful hidden retreat and will definitely be back, hopefully in the winter months so we can have some cosy nights in around the wood burning stove. Thank you so much xxx

My wife & I have just spent 3 nights at the cottage. The cottage is spacious, well-furnished, warm, clean & bright. It has everything you could need for a stay, is quiet, with beautiful views all around, and a pleasant garden from which to enjoy them. In easy reach of places like Whitby & Goathland, and you can be enjoying the wide open space of the Moor in moments. Dogs are allowed, and the owners, Sue & Simon, are very friendly and helpful. I'm only sorry that we only had time for a short stay, so we will be returning. Highly Recommended ! Thanks, Sue. Best wishes, Al & Pamela.

Just fantastically located for covering the North East Coast and walking in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Super comfy with everything you need for a stay, well appointed living spaces and kitchen. And Sue and her husband are really welcoming. Highly recommended and 5 stars!

Loved this place, it is such a lovely cottage with a very secure garden for the dogs. Sue left us a little welcome gift of Fresh eggs, bread from the local bakers, butter and milk. Also a little treat for my 2 Dogs. The cottage is in a lovely little village called Danby with two local pubs and a train station that is in walking distance from the cottage. We will definitely visit again.

Stony Broke was everything that we hoped it would be and more. The surroundings are amazing and the views are stunning. A really peaceful and tranquil space. Nice garden and furniture to enjoy the views from the cottage. Garden well enclosed so that our dog was safe. The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable and clearly well looked after. Fresh bread, eggs, butter and milk were a nice touch to welcome us. We enjoyed exploring Danby and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.
