It is the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed in. The floors were unwashed and the freezer was blocked with ice. The reception apologised and cleaned both( though still not clean). The balcony had many cigarette butts. There was no soap, only 3 cutlery and 3 plates, 2 cups and hardly anything was clean. The cooker hood was not connected to any extract. We happened to hit the two heat wave days and the management did not offer any fans. With the heat the carpet started smelling of urine and it stayed for 3 nights. The last night we came home to a flood of water in the main bathroom and second bedroom. The water was running through the spot light. The floors creaked and the bed was so uncomfortable. I would never recommend anyone to waste their money on these apartments. Very traumatic experience

The apartment was nothing like the one in the pictures. It was fairly large, but furnished very cheaply and in desperate need of a bit of maintenance. On arrival we were greeted by a visit from two fire engines - a shower had apparently caused the alarm to be triggered... should not happen! If you are used to student accommodation or hostels then this place is ok. But even then it really isn't a great location.

Staying at these apartments now since last Monday. Place was grubby, no soap in any of the bathrooms. Bath plug blocked full of hair. No oven trays to cook, no pots. Been asking to have the room cleaned since last Thursday. Eventually got done yesterday but was half arsed job. Dirty towels left in bathroom. No hoovering has done. Apartment looks ok on first impression but when you start looking it ain't no dream. The whole place needs a deep clean. 0 stars given for helpfulness. I would be asking for my money back but luckily down here for business and they are payed for.

Do not book with this company. Scammers get you in with pictures of lovely stylish apartment and at last minute change booking without permissions to filthy, dingy room. Place had never been cleaned and manager will not speak to you directly as its clearly a scam. The manager hides behind receptionist saying its her first day and doesn't know what's going on. In total it took us over 5 hours of tearing our hair out waiting on hold being pushed from pillar to post of trying to get them to admit to booking.com to move us to a decent place to stay. We really don't understand why booking.com allowed this to happen to us and no sort of quality control checks were carried out when choosing to advertise this company to us. Practically every establishment we spoke to in Newcastle about our horrible experience with them said that it happened to people all the time! The first night of our 2 night trip was a waist and we recieved no type of compensation to make up for what we lost.

Very clean and tidy apartments. Kind, friendly helpful staff. In a central location and very easy to reach. Secure private safe parking on reasonable price.Definitely value for money. Highly recommended if you visiting Newcastle upon Tyne with family.

Nightmare not a dream. Definitely not a 4* hotel, more like a 2* student halls. No staff out of hours emergency numbers not answered. Rooms tired, in need of a deep clean, customer service non-existent. More interested in selling you a fridge full of drink. We were locked out overnight and they couldn’t be bothered to even respond as they said the door is working now- worst example of customer service I’ve ever experienced.. premier inn just down road much more comfortable and in a better location. Stalybridge Suites 100 metres away, stayed there much better. Do your research!

I booked the Quayside Apartments on booking.com first over 2 months ago and shortly received a phone directly from the company asking me to cancel the booking.com booking and go directly with them. They said they could give me early check in cheaper. So I stupidly did this. 3 days ago … a week and a half before my stay they call to say they have an issue with a room and have to change my location. There was someone wishing to stay on longer and needed our room.Upon looking at the location and reviews they where pretty bad . So I told them no I wasn’t happy. The lovely lady told me … well sure we can give you free cancellation!! Really !! This has left us paying more money as our stay is so close . The attitude was , well it’s not my issue and out of our control. From what we can see they got a better offer. Be advised don’t ever cancel booking.com cause I believe I would have been better protected . Thanks #dreamapartmentsquayside great service

This place is a scam. They sell you their property as a 'dream' but it was definitely a nightmare. We bought a penthouse overlooking the bridge with an amazing view, two bedroom two bathroom luxury accommodation. Without even asking us, they downgraded us from this to what can only be described as a filthy crack den. I don't think this place had seen a cleaner or sun light for quite some time. Mud all over the floor, diarrhea splashed all over the toilet, dark hairs everywhere. The table and cabinets were filthy and our view out of the smallest window imaginable was of a water pipe.... shockingly we refused to stay here. The lady on reception named Chloe was incredibly helpful, but limited to what she could do. The manager refused to take our calls and booking.com have a strict 24 hour waiting policy where they will not relocate us, unless manager of Dreams consented for us to move. And for some suspicious reason Dreams apartments phone was blocking or ' not receiving' all calls from booking.com. After a long 5 hours back and fourth on the phone, with myself and my friends doing their jobs.. we managed to get sorted and moved to a nice hotel in the city Centre. (no beautiful views, and not the apartment we had 'dreamed' of but at least it was CLEAN!! Honestly do not waste your time with this place. I am so concerned that Bookings.com even have 'Dream Apartments' on their website. We wasted a whole evening sorting this out, and even missed our dinner reservation (which we had paid a deposit for) I'm assuming they have had new management, as all old reviews are positive and all new ones are awful!! STAY AWAY!!

The apartment was filthy, hairs all over the dirty bathroom , kitchen floor had food stuck to it , dishwasher was full of brown stagnant water which stunk, food left over on the fridge, rubbish bin stank and was dirty on the outside, numerous damages to the place with burnt carpets and in one room it actually looked like someone had unrinated in the corner due to the stain. Was informed no one available to clean. Staff disinterested, no apologies, no manager would get back to me the buck was constantly passed and no one took responsibility. Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely filthy. The only way this would’ve been acceptable was if it was free. I have never stayed anywhere this gross. There were questionable stains on the bedroom walls and carpet. I felt like I needed to shower to clean off the filth from the shower. This ensuite shower, by the way, only worked if nobody was in the main bathroom. What’s the point in an ensuite you can’t use? The ‘penthouse suite’ was on the fourth of five floors and looked like student accommodation. Hugely overpriced, not that I would’ve been happy paying anything to stay here. The ‘balcony’ couldn’t even fit two people and the view was a block of flats. Outrageous if you ask me.

Walking distance of city center, 3 private double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for just £100 per night is an absolute steal. Yes the furniture was a bit scuffed but it was a lot roomier than we expected and very clean. The gentleman at reception offered to take out card details rather than the deposit and Looking at other reviews they had issues with the deposit being refunded it seems they have noticed an issue with this and have rectified it by doing this instead. Stayed here for 1 night for a theatre trip and would absolutely stay here again.

I'd read the other reviews, and was concerned before arrival. IT IS FINE. Yes, the decor looks like a dentist's waiting room, and the cutlery & crockery provided is the bare minimum, but our apartment had no issues with cleanliness and everything worked. The heating is effective, the road noise isn't bad even on the ground floor, and we only heard the neighbours occasionally. The mattress is comfortable, and having full cooking facilities and a washing/drying machine is great for a longer stay. We paid the daily parking charge for our rented SUV, and it made life much simpler in an area without much available. It is just an open yard at the back of the building, unless you negotiate the ramp into the secured garage underneath. We stayed 7 days whilst visiting family, and will use it again next time. Our apartment would be even better with a soft lamp in the living room, some drawer space in the bedroom as well as the wardrobe shelves, and enough cutlery and crockery so that the entire supply isn't permanently in the kitchen sink.

This is an accommodation that has worked very hard and successfully to provide a safe environment for its guests. I was very impressed as I was in the city on work for a couple of weeks and stayed here. All the staff, without exception, were very helpful, charming, and professional. They should congratulate themselves for all these characteristics at a time of general anxiety. Altogether, very good.

Absolutely disgusting rooms and company. Still fighting for a refund 4 weeks later. Rooms are smelly and disgusting. Broken furniture, ripped, marked. Carpets had burns over them. The cleanest place was the balcony only because it had been raining. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Been promised multiple times for a refund still waiting 4 weeks later. Company doesn’t respond just want to steal your money.

"Dream apartments" is possibly the biggest reach I've ever come across in my life. More like nightmare. Apartments were dirty, ripped sofas, hairs in the bathroom, dining table dirty. We were only there for 1 night before a flight so we put up with it. We had to pay a £100 deposit which we were promised would be refunded within 10 days. Nearly two months later we are still waiting for the refund, after many excuses and a catalogue of incompetence. They asked us to send them an email with our card details giving full information and 3 digit CCV code as this was the only way they said they could refund it. Bank advice said absolutely not too. We provided details in a different way and a further 10 days have passed again and still no refund to date. Apparently they "lost" the details we provided them. Apartments tired and filthy and a bunch of scammers with the deposit, avoid at all costs.

What a great apartment! everything is within walking distance and the views from the rooms are also really beautiful. Perfect place for large groups!

For a place that advertises itself as four star I'd give it three on a good day. The rooms are not bad if a little dirty but don't you think some decent kitchenware could be provided? Also, never before have I stayed in a place with such bad WIFI, as in bad enough that I'm currently writing this via my phone's hotspot. I wasn't even playing video games, you'd think that whatever they have here would be good enough for YouTube but even that's inconsistent!

Absolutely love it here very very dusty broken mini desk ironing did ask reception for one but told no more so ironed on floor not happy about that but otherwise its great.from one room a high buzzing sound all day and night

Arrived to check in, no one on reception, waited for well over an hour, called the emergency and out of hours numbers and no one contacted us back. After a very long drive sitting in a cold reception waiting for someone to call us we have had to pay for a hotel for the night. The website says 24 hour security, no one on the desk and no one came to help us. Do not stay here.

Bathrooms and beds fine but the walls were covered in marks or badly painted so they're clealy not keeping the place maintained. When I connected to the WIFI my firewall alerted me to an ARP spoofing attack which was very concering. Not luxury at all, pretty poor.

Room and Apartment were fine, ok location. Check out was 10am - rushed out of the apartment at 9:50 by the cleaner and told to give him our key. In the rush I left my watch behind on the side of the sink in the bathroom. Ran back approximately 15 minutes after checking out to find my watch gone. The cleaner claimed to know nothing about it. Receptionist went up to the room and returned 5 minutes later saying he had no idea where it could be. I wrote an email complaining the same day and asking for it to be taken as a formal complaint - over 2 weeks later and still no reply. Very unprofessional - do not take any valuables.

Staff at front desk were lovely but the rooms are very tired and not well maintained. Nothing like the photos online. Gashes in wall, splatters all over the walls and all in all a bit of let down. Just stayed for one night for great north run. Forr the price its shocking.

The rooms themselves weren’t bad, some noisy guests but what can you expect, just poor management unfortunately. Broken dishwasher and almost none existent water pressure. Shower and taps were literally dripping on full power at times. Power kept tripping out to my room. I spoke to management most days about these issues during my month there, furthest I managed to get was a part being ordered for dishwasher which never showed… staff had even came up and confirmed all this my first week there!

We always come to Dream a few times during the year to relax and we were both so pleased to return to one of our favourite spots. Very clean and being extremely well looked after in these troublesome times. The usual cheerful welcome still existed from the staff. Our apartment was spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. Thanks Dream for making our visit so pleasurable and relaxed.

This has been the most disgusting , uncleanliness and vile place i’ve ever stayed in. First off it took 1 hour for our room to be prepared which was extremely inconvenient! Secondly, some one from a different apartment left feces in the hall!!!! I complained to front desk 3 times and they didnt do anything about it til the day after and it stunk out the full building. I would not recommend and the value for money is shocking !

After reading so many bad reviews we were very worried about going but they were so wrong . The staff were very helpful and polite everyone one of them spoke and made sure we were OK. We were in the penthouse and wow what a view also every room was spotless not one problem at all. Kitchen was spotless to I am literally shocked how people can slate this place 😳 our only regret is not going for longer which we will next time that's for sure. Thank you to all the staff and have a lovely Christmas
