A
real
shame
that
Nuffield
is
so
poorly
looked
after
considering
the
perfect
location,
the
building
(with
lots
of
natural
light),
and
great
parking.
This
used
to
be
my
favourite
gym
in
Leicester.
The
primary
reason
behind
my
one-star
rating,
is
due
to
the
defective
air
conditioning.
This
has
been
"looked
at"
over
the
past
few
months
(and
years),
but
it
needs
a
full
replacement.
The
current
system
is
not
capable
of
cooling
such
a
vast
building.
There
are
no
windows
at
this
gym,
it
is
a
giant
closed
greenhouse.
It's
right
next
to
a
greasy
pungent
fast
food
factory,
so
I
believe
functional
air
conditioning
is
the
only
option.
If
it
is
18c
outside,
it
will
be
nearly
30c
inside
(see
attached
picture)
...
If
it
is
high
20s
outside,
it
will
reach
nearly
40c
inside.
Last
month
2
members
fainted,
yet
they
still
haven't
fixed
the
air
con.
There
are
no
official
legal
regulations
for
upper
temperature
limits,
only
lower
limits
(never
an
issue
at
this
gym).
They
haven't
put
up
fans
around
the
gym
to
try
and
help
drop
the
temperature,
after
promising
for
weeks.
The
gym
is
also
filthy,
there
are
not
enough
cleaners.
I
am
rolling
in
dirt
when
I
need
to
foam
roll
before
squats
/
Deadlifts.
Perhaps
more
cleaners
need
to
be
hired
to
clean
up
at
the
end
of
the
day,
it
is
obviously
very
tricky
to
clean
when
there
are
lots
of
people
around.
There
are
used
tissues,
dust
balls,
and
cobwebs
all
over
the
place.
I
don't
enter
the
changing
rooms
/
swimming
area
/
sauna
as
this
is
ridden
with
green
mould,
likely
from
the
heat
and
lack
of
ventilation.
The
fault
is
not
that
of
the
staff,
the
PTs
+
reception
staff
are
all
fantastic.
This
fault
is
with
upper
Nuffield
management,
who
have
not
allocated
any
budget
to
fully
replace
the
air
conditioning,
and
have
neglected
it
for
several
years.
It
gets
worse
every
year.
It
is
absurd
how
they
are
allowed
to
stay
open
if
the
inside
climbs
to
these
temperatures.
It
can
also
reach
25c+
inside
in
the
winter.
Earlier
this
year,
Nuffield
Leicester
had
an
enticing
gym
offer
for
new
members,
offering
full
memberships
for
just
Β£30
or
so
per
month.
Understanbly,
it
is
now
swarming
with
people,
making
it
even
warmer.
Between
5-9pm
is
insanely
busy,
sometimes
you
can't
get
a
bench
or
cable
machine,
even
though
there
is
lots
of
equipment.
There
are
plenty
of
members
who
are
very
disrespectful.
Weights
are
left
all
over
the
place.
Machines
are
left
with
weights
on
them.
The
dumbell
racks
are
not
labelled
and
it
is
sometimes
not
possible
to
find
a
matching
pair.
Reluctantly,
I
now
must
sign
up
to
second
summer
gym,
because
it
is
impossible
to
train
here
without
feeling
like
I'm
about
to
pass
out.
David
Lloyd,
warehouse
gym,
progress
works
and
even
budget
gyms
like
pure
gym
have
working
ac
/
some
form
of
cooling.
Unfortunately,
they
are
not
as
close.
Complaining
is
seemingly
pointless,
my
email
just
ends
up
in
a
pit
of
unopened
complaints...
The
onsite
management
+
staff
are
not
able
to
fix
this
problem
even
though
they
want
to.
I
genuinely
think
they
will
do
nothing
to
replace
the
air
conditioning
until
hundreds
of
more
members
faint,
and
when
fainting
becomes
a
daily
occurance.
Likely
someone
from
Nuffield
will
reply
to
this,
and
lie
about
an
engineer
being
booked
in
to
replace
a
part
that
will
"fix"
the
issue.
If
you're
a
fan
of
hot
yoga,
and
want
to
try
hot
bodybuilding,
or
you
want
to
experience
fainting
firsthand,
there
is
no
better
place.
@Nuffield
management,
please
fix
the
air
conditioning.
