Great little park right in centre of Farnworth. Enough space for plenty of dog walkers and ample bins for dog poo bags, a play area for smaller kids. The park it kept very clean and tidy as well as the kids play area with all bins emptied regular never seen one over flowing yet, well done Bolton MBC. Enjoyable walk for 10 to 15 mins all the way round. Some of the dogs love chasing the cheeky squirrels who love to tease them.

Sadly cutbacks have transformed this once wonderful park into a shadow of its former self. It is still a quite nice green space in the centre of Farnworth, especially in summer where you can sit and relax.

Lovely little Park, with lot's of wildlife, dogs and children, it has a playground which is secure with lot's of thing's to play on. The park has scattered seats so you can sit and watch the squirrel's play, Definitely recommend a visit.

Absolutely love living in Farnworth. There's every shop imaginable for a smallish town. Where ever you live your 5 mins from the town centre.

We take for granted a green space, but exposure to a green area is actually good for the soul, and the park changes over the year, I have had many experiences with the collection of squirrels, not easily spotted, one has to stop, and look, around the trees and up in the branches, on good days they will run around and play with each other, and the park exposes us to what we have forgotten, peace and quiet, and over the year the colour of the trees will change, and blossom, and we can meet so many four legged friends, and many trees have all sorts of bulges and old sores that can be imagined to be all sorts of creatures, the park is a good place to be.

(Translated by Google) The park seems to be forgotten. It is not neglected, but gray and gloomy. It has a lot of space and possibilities, however unused. (Original) Park robi wraΕΌenie zapomnianego. Nie jest zaniedbany, jednak szary i ponury. Ma sporo przestrzeni i moΕΌliwoΕ›ci jednak niewykorzystanej.

Great little park. We always drive past, not realising how big it actually is. Ideal for a walk/run, as well as paying tribute to fallen heroes. Glad to have finally visited.

  • 4/5 George P. 3 years ago on Google
It was rather quiet, not many people, but nevertheless it was good to stroll and sit and muse for a bit, Traffic from the road either side is not intrusive, and it is good to be in a green haven not aware of the covid situation!

A tranquil piece of nature. Not the floral display of yesteryear but beautiful trees, grassy areas, forms, squirrels a (now unused) bandstand and a beautiful war Memorial. Xxx

Once a beautiful place and I once lived directly opposite. Steps to the monument and pathways full of glass. Rose garden and flower beds are gone. I appreciate the council have priorities and there are other parks to tend to. Playground is good for the kids though.
