For the price we paid it was good value, rooms basic but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent with plenty of choice.

Rooms are budget but tidy. Breakfast is relaxed if you dine early but there's lots of alternative places nearby which might suit a smaller budget. Staff are nice and friendly and you can take your dog with you for five pounds per night supplement. Make sure you book your car registration at the reception desk.

We booked ibis hotel in Bradford Shipley on 03 October 2022 for two nights. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was rude and not friendly( stephanie). We were told the room was very clean. Yet upon checking into the room we realised it was smelling of urine, we couldn’t open the window properly to release the smell. The carpet was really dirty. We removed the duvet cover to see the state of the bed and saw human hair inside and stains on the bed sheet and pillow cover. The toilet had not been flushed and the bathroom bin was full of rubbish, also the cups were filthy. We didn’t want to stay in the room and immediately asked for a refund. The manager (Cristina) refused the refund because we had been in the room for longer then 10 minutes inspecting it, and she said we were not allowed to remove the bed covers to check the bed. After arguing with us in front of other customers for 20 minutes she agreed to give us another room and still not a refund!!. This is one of the worst hotel experience we have ever experienced. The Manager did not show any compassion or consideration and told us to either leave the hotel with out a refund or accept a dirty room!. We will never use the Ibis hotel again and strongly recommend people to think twice before booking here!

Cheap and sort of cheerful. The sofa in our room was disgustingly dirty, with dubious stains and cigarette burns in the fabric. TV didn't work.

The room we stayed in was very run down and standards of cleanliness were not high. Had I not have paid Β£74 per night I would have been less likely to complain but I did so I did. My complaint was very well handled by the lovley manager. She was very well meaning and issued me a 50 % refund and free breakfast that morning. She told me she recognises that some rooms need attention and was also agreeable that you would expect more at the price I paid. I was happy with this outcome, however I would not consider staying again at the regular rates. A shame given its central location.

When we arrived the lift to the floor was filthy with empty bun cases and lollipop sticks. The corridor to the roo. Was disgraceful. The carpet was stained and clearly hadn't been vacuumed for at least a week. There were black bin bags littering the corridor and outside our room was a half eaten apple. The room itself was dreadful the drawers did not fit and the sockets were loose. When we came to go to bed the bottom sheets did not cover the mattress and we had to contact reception who reluctantly eventually came to remake the bed. Breakfast was tasteless and tepid. All in all I would NOT recommend the Ibis in Shipley. It was such a disappointment after we had stayed at the Ibis in Edinburgh in June which was super.

We stayed on a last minute visit for one night last week to get away from the same 4 walls. We payed Β£60 for a double room (price excludes breakfast which is charged at Β£8.95 per guest) Let's start with the room. I wasn't expecting anything fancy whatsoever at the price we paid, but the room was very basic with very dated furniture and a HORRIBLE mattress. It was so uncomfortable. The beds, however were made to a high standard and the sheets were fresh. The bathroom looked clean at first glance, however after visiting to use the toilet i noticed some cleanliness issues (pictured) there was rust and no doubt dirt around the toilet seat fitting. There was also a bin in the bathroom but not one in the bedroom. The biggest issue I had with our room, was that though lockable from our side, there are two doors which open into another room. This was locked but it's immaterial as it's a security issue. There was no safe in the room either which is very bizzare. Most hotels do provide this security feature. I would possibly stay again but I'd hope that they do change the mattresses as they are shockingly uncomfortable. I've had comfier sleeps in a camping bed! Overall 3/5, there is definitely room for improvement but I would stay again for a night if need be. Also, there is a pool table available in reception which kept us occupied for quite some time (charged at Β£1 per game) The hotel do not accept cash, which they should, with the Covid-19 pandemic nearly over. It's illogical to not take cash.

Had key card issues, each night having to get it reactivated. Left my spare key card in the electricity slot (to charge my toothbrush while I was out) but the cleaner must have taken it on their rounds so lost that. It's generally clean/fine but nothing to write home about.

Great place, had to ask for a room a dog hadn't been in though, I'm asthmatic. Think they should ask before you book, but otherwise a great place. Lovely room this time overlooking the river.

Rude staff. Very noisy. Had staff enter my room to clean when i was out without asking permission I suffer with autism so it's made me feel very uncomfortable and anxious! Receptionist were rude when I mentioned this and I didn't have a do not disturb sign on my room at all!

Been a few years since we last stayed. Rooms appeared tired and in need of updating . Even the bedding seemed sparse with a fitted sheet over a mattress topper but no sheet further over the base.

Both receptionists gave a warm greeting. Clean and pleasant room. Excellent facilities, with a very lovely and helpful night receptionist You won't regret booking a brunch. Checking out smoothly and easily

Stopped over prior to an early morning flight. Close to Leeds Bradford, a short 20min drive. Basic but comfortable, facilities were clean and we had a view of the canal which was lovely.

Sunday morning after 3am shouldn't have to be banging on walls at this time being unable to sleep kept awake by noisy inconsiderate "guests" really unacceptable. Staff here are really...really good to. These issues need addressing. On a side note.....I thing night staff have intervened. Thankfully!!!

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The hotel itself has good services with a good breakfast selection, pool table, ironing room etc. The car park is also easily large enough for the building so there was always space.

I booked to stay at the ibis, last minute as I was visiting a friend at short notice. The hotel was just what I was looking for. With its central location, just a stones throw away from Shipley train station and close to many other local attractions. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful at checking in. The room was spotless and made for a very comfortable nights sleep. I didn't stay for breakfast because I had an early start. All in all, I couldn't fault it.

Cheap and cheerful, but much more convenient than many more "up market" hotels that have you trekking further out of town. If you don't drive, this place is spot on. Decent breakfast bar to boot.

Perfect for an overnight stay. Typical ibis rooms, free parking and close to all amenities

  • 2/5 Sean Begg F. 9 months ago on Google
Overpriced for what you get. We paid Β£100 per night. The rooms are very basic, gross carpets, barely clean and musty smelling. The place is in serious need of an upgrade.

This was an OK place to stay and met our needs just fine. Breakfast was OK, actually better than anticipated. The rooms were clean and comfortable but somewhat in need of updating. Parking very convenient and plentiful. Easy and pleasant walk to Salts Mill along the canal.

Horrible stay the two girls running the front desk were helpful but had too much to do with running reception the bar and doing breakfast. The communal areas in the hotel were clean but when we entered the room it was filthy the carpet was stained and piles of dust had formed around the edges of all the furniture and there was marks on most of the walls. The bathroom was not too bad bad on a whole I will never stay again we paid Β£136 for a family room that was small hot and filthy if we weren't going to a surprise party I would have left

  • 5/5 Liz C. 6 months ago on Google
We stayed for 2 nights for a family occasion. Good value for money and staff were friendly and helpful. The lady at breakfast deserves a special mention as we saw her helping the less able bodied guests with their breakfasts in a discreet way. The carpet in our room was a little tired. My only niggle is that although the bathroom, bedding etc were clean, there were marks on the wall and windowsill that needed cleaning off ie coffee splashes and spider poo. Head of Housekeeping needs to do some checks!

Nowhere on website could we see a warning of being a cashless hotel. Couldn't stop sneezing with dust. Carpet in my garage is cleaner. Moved bed side locker away from wall and it was disgusting. I have photos.

We have stayed here on several occasions and always have an enjoyable stay. The staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It is located next to a canal so you can can have a nice walk either way from the hotel. There is also a pub next door and the hotel also does food and drink.

I have stayed here several times and find its location extremely well suited for my purpose. Comfortable room, hot shower and an excellent hot breakfast. Reception staff polite and courteous.

You get what you pay for, and this hotel is very, very cheap! The good: The hotel is really well located for Shipley, and is really cheap. The shower had excellent water pressure. The hotel is really cheap. There's a Lidl pretty much across the road, so unless you really, really want a fry up, you can skip the pricy hotel breakfast and grab a few pastries from there instead. Also, did I mention that the hotel is really cheap?! The not so good: As mentioned in countless other reviews already, the cleanliness of the hotel could be better. The carpets in particular (both in the shared hallways and inside the room) were pretty manky. The sink was permanently stained. Housekeeping was patchy - clearly no attempt to vacuum or wipe down surfaces was made, as evidenced by crumbs still being there. But the really important bits of cleanliness seemed fine at least - the bed, sheets, towels and shower all seemed decently clean. If you're in search of luxury or trying to impress someone, or if someone else is paying, look elsewhere. But if you just need somewhere cheap to sleep with excellent access to Shipley, this Ibis isn't an awful option.

The hotel is looking tired and in need of some maintenance. Both times I've stayed there were unpleasant smells from the sink drainage. When the sign is hung outside to indicate not to change the sheets and towels there is no service at all to the room (not even replaced the biscuits!) However it is inexpensive and the breakfast is pretty good.

Lovely room, reasonably priced and comfortable bed. Heater in the room makes the room nice and toasty and TV in bed is always a bonus. Only downside would be if there was a fridge in the room too as was unable to keep anything cold but that wasn't a major issue. All was good though.

3rd stay now, clean, economical and the staff are brilliant. Helpful, polite and efficient. Highly recommended for that short stay experience. Good breakfast too!!

Stayed there for 12 nights! I liked it! Staff was friendly! We did not know they do other food except breakfast ! We only found it on the last day! We had tea twice a day so we had to ask them for the complimentary tea constantly but that was fine! I think the bed side was not as clean but that’s because I am germaphobic and even then it was nothing to worry about! So other than that! Everything else was good!

Most acceptable. Light touch from staff except from breakfast team who went the extra mile each morning. Just what we needed. Somewhere to have a comfortable night and great breakfast. Room was what we needed with comfortable beds. We shall return.

Stayed here the night gefote my dad's funeral. Noise from out side broke my sleep as well as the bed was so uncomfortable and the hot breakfast wasn't appetising fatty streaky bacon and cheap sausage. Plus side the staff were lovely

Located perfectly for our holiday in bronte country , excellent pub next door for breakfast , lunch and tea . Room was clean on arrival but we had no house keeping for 4 days because of covid ????, so bins not emptied , towels not changed , room not hoovered , beds too hard but staff very helpful and polite.

I spent 5 nights staying at the Ibis Hotel it was exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel to be. The rooms were clean and in good repair. The bed was comfortable, there was tea and coffee making equipment all very clean and tidy. I only ate breakfast once, it was overpriced and pedestrian. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The bar prices were very high. However all in all good value if on a budget.

  • 3/5 George W. 1 year ago on Google
Nice people but the hotel needs a major refurb. It isn't up to normal IBIS standards and remains dated. Black mold on shower head and a broken toilet seat seem like easy fixes.

  • 4/5 master of p. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel was great . Perfect temperature not too hot not too cold. The beds are heavenly for the price I expected it to be uncomfortable but it was amazing. I slept like a baby. I wanted to give five stars but the room keys did not work all of my stay neither key card. Kept having to knock to get back in by my son. Also there wasn't enough towels for us all we paid for 3 guests and only got one . Everytime I asked for more I was given only one and we needed 3 . One each. I also had the TV go into sleep mode and had to get assistance to take it out of it. Maybe a leaflet telling you how to use it. The shower was large and spacious and my daughter loved you could lay down in it. She was literally rolling in it. 🀣 The staff was polite and curteous . I would highly recommend this hotel . It was both the perfect mix of clean and comfortable. Great value for money .

Well, what can one say about an Ibis? This one was ideal for us, close to Salts Mill, free parking. Lovely friendly service from the staff, limited food menu, but it suited us, for anyone else there are plenty of eating establishments close by if looking for a bigger choice. Bed very comfortable and a good room size, a bit dated and probably needs a fresh up but no complaints from me. Would happily stay again and probably will when next we get back to Salts Mill.

Very good staff and comfortable room at a good price. 10 percent discount with Accor hotels loyalty scheme so register first! However, public areas are well worn and need refurbishment.

Great location, plenty of parking, comfortable and clean room with spacious bathroom and lovely hot shower. Didn't have breakfast in hotel but there is a good eatery next door. Wetherspoons is just up the road too. Can recommend aagrahs for evening meal. Always go there for buffet. Bit of an issue with room key not working, same in my friend's room too but staff apologetic and helpful. Very handy for salts mill just 10 mins along canal at the back. Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5 Robert H. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is just off the centre of Shipley beside the canal so ask for a room at the back of the hotel so you'll can see some of the barges, swans and ducks go by other wise you will be looking over the carpark. The rooms are standard for Ibis, the bed are comfortable and the sofa beds are fine for a night. The breakfast are a buffet you can either have cooked or Continental. There lunch/dinner menu was very limited. I had my dog with me and we had no objections to her being in the dinning room on her lead beside us at the table. The staff are typical Yorkshire folk warm and friendly. I would happily stay there again.

  • 4/5 Carl P. 9 months ago on Google
It's an OK place to stay for a few days only the TV is terrible, when you have the time to sit & watch TV after doing stuff through the day, there is nothing more annoying than having early 2000's reception on the Freeview TV that is in the room. Most of the very limited channels you get are unwatchable due to lack of signal... in 2022 you would think that Hotels would have had this figured out by now, then you have a TV the size of a stamp at the foot of your bed. The rooms are good enough if you want to stay out all day & night, but for others like me, we have to stay in our rooms so we can rest after a busy day & when you don't have anything to do it gets very boring very fast, it said on the booking site that we gave TV & Freeview provided but they said nothing about no signal or very limited signal, we can send Man to the moon but we can't get a picture on a TV in Yorkshire!!! The staff have been nice & the rooms are decent I guess, it's the TV situation that gas ruined the stay for me really, if that had worked then I would have given five stars, being disabled gives me limited time I can be on my feet so I need to relax in front of a TV for an hour or two & I am unable to do that here. Returned in 2023 for 5 days for my Aunty's Birthday & we have got exactly the same problems with the TV now. I am in my room right now & about to go out but I will not be coming back, I was hoping they would of had this figured out by now so I gave it one more chance, I will be going elsewhere next time.

The hotel could do with some TLC. Corridor carpet on 2nd floor looked like bleach had been spilled on it. In our room the carpet was stained next to the bed - beer, coffee or something else? But the staff we encountered were really nice. The breakfast was excellent especially as we only paid Β£217 for three nights. Location is excellent with a Hungry Horse next door, the train station about 5 minutes away, and a short walk on the canal to Saltaire and Salts Mill. Hopefully the hotel will get that TLC, but we would stay again because of staff and location.

We had an amazing time our room was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very easy to find and very well priced. We are planning trip back to same place next month. We loved Ibis never stayed in one of these hotels before very enjoyable stay.

Staff were lovely espeacially the amazing night porter thank you for providing us with an extra pillow . He worked tirelessly. Rooms Pricey now but it was wasm and toasty in the Hotel whch earnes it another star.
