Great place for a family day out and the ticket price is so reasonable. My nephew (7) loved it! Plenty of animals to see and a great play park. As with any thing animal related some animals were asleep or hiding which was a bit disappointing although no one can be blamed for that. Animals need private space too. We went as my nephew wanted to see animals but not a farm. This place had a great mixture of farm animals and the more exotic. Had a great time hunting beetle statutes and looking at everything. For the price this place is great and the staff were lovely. Only thing that let's it down slightly is the grubby looking fish tanks. They are clean but the plastic is damaged giving a not so great first impression, although we did spot a sign saying that they are working on this so once it's done this place will truly be perfect. Definitely recommend at visit.

What a lovely little place. Very reasonably priced and the grounds are beautiful. Lots of trees and beautiful plants and flowers. All the animals have spacious and wonderfully clean enclosures. There is also a play area for the children which is very good, we only spent 2 hours there as we had a schedule but if we took our time we could have easily spent 3/4 hours. There's also a cafe but we didn't use it

This is a very good place to take any animal lover. They have a good range of birds, reptiles and furry creatures to make it a great few hours out. It is affordable and it is good to upgrade your ticket to a season pass, however it is not open on weekdays. There is an adventure playground, farm area and a cafe outside (although it wasn't open when we visited which was a shame!). Overall was a good visit!

Might only be a small park compared to most, but it's well worth the visit. The staff know their stuff and the animals look happy and well cared for. The little tour of the "back stage" area of the aquatics display was great but a little rushed due to the amount of visitors, I would have liked to ask a few questions about how to care for a couple of the species. Not the staff's fault, just a good excuse to go again. The kids enjoyed it, and the bad weather stayed away. This is a great teaching facility for the college to which it's attached, it made me want to go back and learn something new. It also gave me some ideas about a fish tank I want to set up.

Enjoyable place to visit, especially enjoyed the otters, marmoset and ring tailed lemurs. Pleasant for a stroll round and very reasonably priced cafe on site for a lunchtime snack.

Beautiful place. Staff so kind and caring. Disabled accessible for wheelchairs. Such a nice day out. Its a hidden treasure. The animals are so beautiful and well looked after. They have so much space, food and friends with them. It's best to bring your own food and drinks with you as there's a cafe but it's outside of the park. Not many seats to sit down as you go in. But the further you go you'll find a seating area. I'd suggest if you struggle to walk to bring a foldable chair or maybe a wheelchair. Or go further in To sit down. Cleaning stations in the building To clean your hands and also prams and wheelchairs too. And a small gift shop as you go in So cheap to go and such a great day out well worth it :)

My little girl loves this place. It took us approximately an hour to get around all the animals, at a very leisurely pace. There's a little hut en route for a quick drink/snack or a cafe with a limited menu. We went on a week day during the summer holidays but normally go term time at the weekends.

Very reasonable entrance fee. We had an enjoyable few hours here. We especially liked all the reptiles and the otters. Farm animals and horses were at quite a distance so difficult to see them.

A wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. Plenty of different animals who looked well cared for and content in their surroundings. The park itself was beautiful with the most stunning mature trees - so many unusual specimens. Friendly staff, and lots of places to stop and enjoy the views. We met a family who highly recommended the animal experience so we will hopefully come back to do that's other day. Big thumbs up from us.

It's worth a visit. It's nice to walk round and see the wildlife. Good play area for children grandson loved it. Would visit again not too big a place and not overcrowded. Cafe nit bad and plenty of tables to sit around the wildlife park

Lovely little conservation park and great team of education staff, very knowledgeable and friendly. Nice range of species to see and good facilities - visit the Tansy Moth patch if you are there and read about the conservation project

I didn't even know this existed and it was brilliant. The outside animals were great but the reptiles etc were even better!

Loved the knowledge that the staff wanted to share, happy to answer all the questions asked.

Annual pass is worth it. Easy enough to stroll around with toddlers. Park could do with a pressure wash, but nice enough. Cafe doesn't have a toilet. Can only access on weekends and holidays as the college uses it other times.

We LOVE Askham Bryan Wildlife Park, it is a nice little park to walk around and see the animals. It has a little play park and plenty of space for a picnic. Most ideal for primary school children and early years but a lovely place to visit. I especially love seeing the Marmosets.

Lovely time here, the park and animals were really nice, plenty of information about the animals on site. A great use of college during holidays. Will definitely go again

A fantastic day out, this is the second time we have been and it was just as enjoyable. Fantastic park area for children to play in as well.

Our First visit here so wasnt sure what to expect for the price but was happy with our visit, some weird amd wonderful animals to veiw also some very very cute ones, obviously all very well looked after and if you've young kids I'd definitely recommend calling in here, won't take long to get round as it's only small but if you were to pack a lunch and have a picnic in the beautiful park / woodland areas around the animals pen's you could make a half day of this. Very easy to get to as it's immediately just off the A64, good little gift shop on site and a cafe that we didn't visit. Would definitely come here again

Great place. Didn't know it was here until somebody mentioned it to us and have driven past it loads of times. They have a good variety of animals and the staff are really friendly. Only been open 6 years and certainly worth a visit.

Great little find . Love how the staff knew all the animals so well. Very small. Cafe coffee great but warm sandwiches really over cooked and inedible but that may have been one off. I will still go back for sure. It had some nice trees and plants too.

Lovely little wildlife park with a good variety of small animals. Lots of space to wander and explore. Especially suited to nature loving children. Not too busy and good value. Highly recommend. (Only open out of term times and weekends as it is linked to the college)

Great way to spend a couple of hours. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the animals at play and rest. Staff were very knowledgeable. Lovely coffee and tuna melt from the cafe. Definitely worth a visit.

I so love this place. Entry doesn't cost the earth and can be booked on line. Usually at the weekends but open during the week I believe during school holidays. Though do check.. Don't expect it to be like the Yorkshire wildlife park as it doesn't have the capacity like they do. But what they do have is brilliant. Ranges from meerkats to my favourites the raccoons. There is a play park for the kids to play whilst we take a much needed rest and also seating at the pond, which is well fenced off. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They also do school trips there. A cafe is located off site and does the usual drinks and snacks. Well worth a try!
