Popped in for a light lunch and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere, and music. Plus if you like the look of the decor most of it is for sale. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, in regulation triangles and my daughter had a vegetarian chili wrap which was piping hot and cheesy! Having demolished that we had to have scones and cake, it almost seemed rude not to. Excellent fare and the staff are both unobtrusive and helpful which is a rare combination in this day and age.

Oh how lovely this little hidden gem of a place is. Definately worth a visit. Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Very 1920's. Tidy little menu and BIG juicy cakes. China cups and period music. Step back in time and enjoy a quiet interlude with friends and family.

Found this gem via Google Maps while on holiday. What a lovely place! A warm welcome, attentive service and a fine interior made this the perfect place for our first ever delicious 'high tea' in England.

Quintessential tea room. We stopped for lunch and had the soup/sandwich combo. The home made soup was sensational, the sandwiches delicious and the tea and coffee exemplary. Outstanding.

The food was really nice and presented well. The bread is super soft and fresh (makes a difference) and the filling was tasty. The service was a bit 'off' but I think it was just how the lady came across. Interesting decor that os also available to purchase. It's quite pricey. They don't used clotted cream for scones which is a shame.

A lovely tea room tucked away in Shipley. With a 1920s theme and homely feel, this is a very nice place to go for lunch or afternoon tea. All food is home made which makes such a difference to mass produced fare. The staff are pleasant and helpful and clearly a good experience for customers is their priority.

My cousin has been visiting this cafe for many years. We ordered two jacket potatoes with bacon and cheese. The portions are enormous! I had the soup which was specialty cooked for me as I’m lactose intolerant. It came with a huge bread tea cake made on the premises. Can’t fault it. Two ladies were having afternoon tea with fizz and it looked amazing. It’s also a quirky shop. There was a lactose free cake but I was so full up I couldn’t manage a slice. May be next time!

Love this place! Perfect venue for a very low key not-a-hen do. The food was amazing (as always) and we had a smashing time. Nothing was too much trouble and we took the bits we couldn't finish home to enjoy later. Highly recommended, can't wait to return.

Came across this very nice cafe in the middle of Shipley. Bit quirky and unique. Had tasty home made tomato and lentil soup with plenty of bread and husband had v nice chocolate muffin.

Really lovely, quaint tea room with friendly personnel. Very good scone with cream and jam, however being a tea room I was expecting higher quality, loose leaf tea rather than a bag of tea as you would buy in a supermarket. Worth a visit!

Delightfully old fashioned cafe selling real home made food. We arrived at 2pm and some menu items were sold out. No fetching some more from the freezer here. Hand made bread rolls and cakes like your granny’s. Wish I lived nearer.

Love this quirky little cafe / tea room. Loads of atmosphere with it's 1940s theme and all food is home made, served with exquisite precision! Coffee with soya milk was medium-strong, as requested and delicious. The scone, still warm from the oven, with butter and jam will be worth coming back for. Cheese scones on Fridays - definitely going to try those out one Friday soon 😃 I discovered Shipley indoor market too with vintage, craft and a sweet stall with aniseed twists. And all because Virgin Money closed my local branch and I had to schlep to Shipley. Not a wasted journey 😁

Afternoon Tea for my husband's birthday. As usual the service impeccable and home made fayre delicious but they remembered from us booking a week before, that it was my husband's birthday and at the end they brought him a butterfly bun with a candle in. Really lovely touch. Thank you for making it so special. We will be back on our next trip.

A lovely tea room with great fresh food and good coffee as well as lovely staff. Aside from the food and drink there's also a vintage shop available where I've found a lovely faux fur coat myself, definitely worth a look!

This is a lovely place. We turned up just before closing, but they saw the look of a weary traveller and put themselves out and served us a great cuppa in period surroundings, supplemented by sharing local history and places to visit. Highly recommended and a massive thank you for the kindness shown.

👍 Food was delicious and the portions are reasonable. Service was good during our visit. Décor is very wild West and there are some good touches. Music was pretty loud inside and needs to be turned down. Overall a good experience
