My friends and I visited the Old Glen House the first night I arrived in Leeds (I live in the US). The steak and ale pie was amazing, as was the apple/rhubarb dessert!!! (Truly the best beef pie I've ever had). We then travelled all the way to the Scottish Highlands for a week, eating at pubs and restaurants along the way. Out of our entire trip, The Old Glen House was the best food and had our favorite employees. They made us feel welcome in their home. I highly recommend the pies as well as the chicken burgers (My friend said it was the best he's ever eaten). Go to the Old Glen House! And while you're there, stroll down to the Old Glen in the woods just behind it. It's beautiful.

Sunday lunch is a family oriented and dog friendly experience, although it's time they reopened their car park to customers instead of just the staff. This causes on street parking issues at busy times which I'm sure the local residents are not happy about. A well kept pint of hand pulled Saltaire beer and half an Amstel lager was Β£6.05, a Yorkshire pudding starter with gravy Β£4.50 and a Sunday lunch main roast of the day Β£12.95.

have visited here a couple of times and each time it just gets better. Friendly service. Amazing food. Fabulous value for money without comprising taste and service. Will always visit this family run pub when in the area.

Always nice for a drink in the beer garden after walking the dog on a nice summers day , but I must say this last visit the place seemed a little untidy and run down . Maybe just a bad day as usually very nice.

Lovely pub, good food. Only reason it's got 4 stars and not 5 is it's dog friendly which I know some people will like, I just prefer places that aren't, but it wouldn't put me off a future visit.

Our local. We love it. Always a warm welcome and excellent service from the team. Great pints, super dog friendly (with beds and treats). Traditional interior with log burner, exposed beams, rustic furniture etc. The food is always well executed - nothing too fancy, just good honest pub food like game pie, steak and chips, bangers and mash. Highly recommended.

Well worth a visit after going up the hill by the Tram line. A selection of real ale's with a good beer garden. Yet to sample the food but heard it's good.

Toilets are terrible, need good clean too, broken toilet cisterns put on bowl. Only 1 other toilet with a broken lock not a clean toilet at all makes me think how clean was the kitchen. Had halloumi cheese which was very nice with chilli jam and limp Lettuce that had been plated up from some hours before. Lovely touch was the pub had dog beds for those that came in and water bowls. Could do with a lick of paint, clean up and it would be lovely. The young man that made me a pot of strong tea was very nice and friendly the tea was fantastic

Just been to the old Glen for curry night and it was absolutely delicious. Β£12.95 for a 3 course meal, couldn't fault it. Also having decent bottles of red wine is a massive bonus. Thank you Lou and Ed for being great host.
