RUDE OWNER .. OVER PRICED we decided to come to the park today and talked about taking some drinks. but my wife said "No we will go to the cafe instead I bet they struggled with lockdown" my wife and two girls bought 2 cappachinos and 2 icecreams. Cost £15 both cappachinos where like cups of hot watery milk no froth and almost No coffee. when I took them back politely pointing this out. I was met with an attitude of , what do you want me to do. it's a cappuccino. he said just have a normal coffee then if its milky that's what a cappuccino is. I asked can you just add some coffee too it. he then very reluctantly told the other member of staff to split a shot of coffee between the two coffees. not what you expect when you are supporting a local business after lockdown and pay these silly prices.

Rude, argumentative, petty owner. I bought a drink and ice cream today but was refused any tap water (on a roasting hot day) because apparently they only give tap water to dogs and people who have bought alcohol but not me or my 4 year old. Definitely in breach of their alcohol licence and they don't seem to value or respect their paying customers. I'll go out of my way not to buy anything here again. Awful experience, horrible people. After speaking to other parents in the park I'm not the only one who thinks they're rude and petty too.

I wouldn't even give it one star if I had a choice. Went with family on a hot weekend spent over £30 on drinks and snacks, chips took ages and were under cooked but my biggest gripe was when I asked for my reuseable water bottle to be filled up (for my 1 year old) and was told they would not fill it as they sell bottled water! After spending money with them I am disgusted they would not simply give me some tap water and especially on a hot day! I've since been told they are required to give it as they serve alcohol so that just adds to my disgust. The lady who told me this was rude and I cannot believe this is a policy in a world we are supposed to be reducing single use plastic. I won't go again.

Appalling customer service. Whippy ice cream was sour, owner argued over it, apparently theirs is real ice cream and an ice cream vans isn't? Well I'm sorry mate but you're making it with sour cream! Apart from the fact they were not exactly value for money.

Nice food, but a truly disgusting amount of waste. We sat in, drinks in disposable cups, cake and mains in disposable packets with plastic cutlery, and the afternoon tea on a large plastic catering tray with a plastic lid. None of this was necessary, all could have been on plates. For me, this ruined lunch, I wish I had just gone hungry and eaten at home.

A nice little cafe in myrtle Park. Always do decent food and a good selection of drinks. I particularly like the outdoor seating and its a great facility to use on a nice weekend afternoon with the kids. I recommend Tarquins.

A ridiculous debate (argument) with the manager about what is or isn't an Americano, which ended in my mum being insulted and us still getting the wrong coffee to that what we ordered. Obviously no apology, just a replacement coffee that wasn't much better. I was going to take a drink from home, but thought it would be nice to get one there. I'll know for next time.

An ok place for coffee ice-cream and snacks but not the most friendly of staff. A lovely location in Myrtle Park.

Beautiful, little cafe in Myrtle Park, Bingley. Gorgeous ice-creams, great coffee, and food, I had the Mexican wrap today, spicy chicken, cheese and peppers, yum. Served with, fries, guacamole, salsa and sour cream.

Called today for a snack at lunchtime. My wife and sister in law went to sit down, I went to doorway and a rude obnoxious guy came stood in front of me and before I had chance to say anything, said, you order at the hatch. I said I know, I was just going to ask where toilet is. His answer, its in the back, but you need to order first. So we made our choices and ordered. I ordered a hotdog, and chips. Never seen a hotdog like it. A plain teacake cut in half, cut open and a hotdog sausage in. No butter, no onions, just a pathetic lazy attempt at a hotdog. Obviously don't buy in hotdog rolls. I'm afraid they don't deserve to have a business serving food, or dealing with customers. The guy who served us was polite and friendly, and he also helped two ladies. Presumably the first guy is the owner, just in wrong job. Then just before we left, I saw in through the doorway a lady who Presumably does the preparation or works in the kitchen, was sat with a dog on her lap petting it. Not exactly appealing in a food place. Wouldn't give 1 star, if I could. Walk into Bingley or drive somewhere else. Definitely a place to avoid.

I went here with a colleague and a PWS at lunchtime on a Saturday. I just had a pot of tea. The PWS had a smashed cheeseburger and my colleague had a toasted chicken wrap, both came with chips and salad, the burger also had breaded onion rings and the wrap had coleslaw. Both enjoyed their meals with drinks and didn't have to wait too long for the food and drinks to arrive. Neither one finished the entire meal which was generously sized.

The ice-cream flavour was OK but the wafer cone was very cheap or old dated stock. £2.60 for small ice-cream isn't good value.

I can only assume this place has changed owners since some of these other reviews were written. Just been for lunch. Tea and coffee were fine, breakfast was over cooked, fried bread was burnt and beans were dried out. BLT had one rasher of fatty bacon, one lettuce leaf and a chopped tomato. It came on cheap bread, had very cheap coleslaw on the side and came with a packet of Tesco own brand crisps from a multi pack. Very disappointed. Won't go here again

Have a couple of pounds in your pocket if you need to use the loo. You have to order stuff and pay before your allowed to use the toilet, I will never return to this place.

Lovely coffee (with a Lotus biscuit) served by friendly staff. The take out setup is good as collection is from a different window to where you order/pay. Contactless payments too

Whenever walking round Myrtle Park we always know that we will find a good welcome and friendly service at Tarquin's Tea Room. We have been coming down to the park, like many, to walk our dog. We always finish with a good cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Now that things are opening up more, the range of items on offer has increased and, though we just stick to a shared piece of confection, we are never disappointed. We have also recently discovered, much to our greyhound's delight, that she can also enjoy the delight of a 'dog sausage'. What more could one ask for? Pop along and try; you won't be disappointed.

It's a lovely place but I wish it offered a more interesting up to date menu, it would be great to have more healthy, veggie & vegan options.

👍 Food was delicious and the portions are reasonable. Service was good during our visit. Décor is very wild West and there are some good touches. Music was pretty loud inside and needs to be turned down. Overall a good experience
