This place is just perfect. We went for a lovely but chilly walk and finished up here after wanting to visit for ages and we weren't disappointed. Even from the outside it's special, and when you walk in its just a lovely fuzzy welcoming feeling of awesomeness. No.54 has so much quirky character, but natural, not forced. We sat at a beautiful, old arty table by the window and ordered full breakfasts. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly and using great quality produce. I want to go back already, and can Imagine it being the perfect venue for a little celebration. Service was warm and friendly, and there's plenty of food choices to suit everyone. Resisted the cakes this time but I don't think that would happen next time!!!

Orderd afternoon tea for collection for 4 for my mums 82nd birthday, even though it was takeaway it did not deter the quality whatsoever, everything was just as good as it was dining in 😉👍 excellent service and excellent quality thanks Ann & Neil 😉👍..highly recommended..xx💞💞💞xx Also visited for breakfast, whilst walking our grand dog 🐕 we sat outside with her, we didn't have to wait long at all the service just as good outside as inside, & our full English was as we expected, absolutely spot on, everything was freshly cooked, could not fault anything, highly recommend it, a must try..🥰👍😉😋, Roxy enjoyed the bacon & sausage too..xx😋😉👍🤣xx

We went as a party of 4 for afternoon tea and everything was absolutely fantastic. They made sure that we all had a bit of everything and that we all had top ups whenever we needed them. A lovely place with a very relaxing ambience. I would definitely go again if I was in the area.

This is a lovely little cafè. The staff were all really nice. Took our order at the table and the food was really good and freshly cooked. The hash browns are perfect. There's a selection of cakes and brownies for desserts but I was there for breakfast, so I didn't try them myself, although they looked so good, I was very tempted. Theres also loads of antiques that you can have a look at and purchase. Overall, really enjoyed it and will absolutely go back.

Quintessentially perfect for English afternoon tea. And for lunch or morning coffee too, I expect. Food, service, atmosphere, friendliness of staff, cleanliness and such an interesting tea room sharing the space with antiques for sale. We all want to bring our friends and families back here to experience the joys of tea and cake.

The tearoom is the perfect venue for a relaxed meal out. We had afternoon tea, which was extremely tasty. The staff are really friendly and can't do enough for you. There's plenty of seating with decent music playing. I'd happily visit here again and heartily recommend it.

I ordered afternoon tea from here for Father’s Day. The staff were helpful and friendly. I collected it in the morning and it was all clearly labelled in boxes, easy to transport. The food was delicious, really fresh and tasty. Will definitely visit again.

Made my order perfectly to my specification asking for no bread bun and salad instead of fries. Served exactly when we had asked for it on booking. The food was beautiful and the homemade cakes were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
