For a sweet 10-minute walk from the University, the iconic coffee shop ⭐️Coffee on the Crescent⭐️ is right in front of you. No matter what you’re looking for, the lovely spot has it all ready for you! 🏡 *that’s what I call home* All pastries, savouries, and sweet treats are freshly prepared every day to give customers the best experience during their stay 🥐🥪 I’d suggest visiting the shop during weekday mornings to best capture the shop essence and cozy atmosphere ☀️ For a light meal (pastry/sandwich + coffee) that costs between £6-9, I would say the shop has been able to offer a really great deal 💰 The coffee tastes perfect, no matter it’s served hot or iced 🧊 There’s also an extensive range of meat, vegetarian, and vegan food options available - cinnamon buns, sausage roll, hummus sandwich, and more! If you’re craving for some icy, remember to try their ice-cream as well 🍦 Given that most products are prepared fresh on the spot, I think there’s anything more you could ask for 🤤 p.s. the shop supports local artists around the community!! go and check out all the lovely prints, cards, and books on display when you’re around 🎨

Fantastic little coffe shop, good selection of coffee and pastries. Dog friendly too, well worth dropping in if you're visiting Hyde Park

A nice cafe with good coffee, atmosphere and service, but couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by the portion sizes given the price. For £7.95 you only get one slice of toast with some hummus, cucumber, olives and pepper. If these portion sizes were increased, the asking price would be more justified.

Superb coffee in gorgeous surroundings. The cafe has a bright and airy feel. The staff were friendly, service was fast and the latte art was definitely worth a picture! The food looked amazing and fresh, and while I didn't have anything to eat on my first visit, I'm looking forward to coming back to sample what's on offer.

Lovely coffee shop. We kept getting more and more as it was so good and we were so disorganized! Particularly liked the cortados and lemon and almond cake.

Potentially the best cafe in Leeds for me, to the point where I pop in nearly every day a week sometimes! The team provide amazing service every time without fail, and the owner Tim is also lovely - it feels like he really wants to build a sense of community around his coffee, and he's doing a great job :)

Best damn almond croissant I've ever had. Possibly the best (decaf) coffee too. Friendly staff and lots of plants. What more could you want!

New cafe in Hyde Park. Fronts right on to the A660 and has outside seating. They have a limited range of (very good) cakes. The coffee is very good and the food I tried was great. I'd recommend a visit. Update September 2022 - still a popular place, lots of choice. Licensed as well. Recommended.

Lovely staff, inviting interiors and welcoming of dogs. Been here before once and the coffee was good both times. My tomato and cheese croissant was quite burnt, it's a shame to waste food so I ate it, taste is fine but would have been better a little less charred. Wifi is available at this cafe, and would be a great spot to do some work or just relax

Love this cafe! I’ve visited several times now and the coffee is so good. The staff are absolutely lovely- I called in today after a solo bike ride with my bike and offered to drink my coffee outside to not take up space but they found me a spot to put my bike and warm up while drinking my coffee inside. It was much appreciated as I was FREEZING. Thank you very much :)

Fabulous independent coffee shop, great for lunch or pick up take away sandwiches, pastries and cakes. Vegan options available. Lots of nice pictures, plants and cards for sale too. A real asset to the local area.

Really good coffee shop in Leeds! They do a really good flat white. Only reason for knocking it down a star is that they should be more forthcoming about seating policies. They have a no laptop policy for sit in customers, which is understandable given COVID and the hospitality industry. I just wish I had been told before ordering my coffee, and then having to find somewhere else to do work.. as I would have gotten it elsewhere instead so I could sit in!

Nice atmosphere, coffee is amazing, I would say one of the best coffee I've ever had.

This was lacklustre when I visited. I've heard lots of great reviews about here so I'm hoping my experience was just a blip. But the pastries/cakes were generally dry and stale so perhaps from the days previous. The coffee machine wasn't working so had a filter coffee, which obviously isn't going to be as good. Hopefully I'll visit another day and be able to say the experience was better, but for the price sadly only this occasion I can't.

My absolute favourite coffee shop in Leeds. I'm lucky enough to have this as my local so I'm often popping in. The almond croissants are my favourite! Staff/owners are very passionate about what they do but are also active in the local community

Tim and his lovely team are clearly passionate, caring and dedicated to what they do - it emanates throughout Coffee On The Crescent and that translates to a really positive and welcoming space with a fantastic range of bakes that compliment the obviously great coffee always on offer!

Really good coffee and customer service. I had a problem with my coffee once and they immediately sorted it out. I just found the pastries a bit overpriced.

This little gem is a beauty! Owned by Timothy Linley is a former English cricketer, it’s a place that restores your faith in humanity because of everything they do and stand for. Community. Connections. Compassion. It supplies a fantastic variety of coffees, teas and drinks. It also sells plants and art work. The staff are genuinely happy to see you. Knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Every purchase is delivered with pride. However, don’t be surprised you have to queue to get in. People travel from all over. It’s especially busy on Saturday mornings when it is packed full of parkrun people. The staff just take it all in their stride.

We started visiting cotc regularly during 2020, I'd just moved nearby and was so convenient to grab a coffee and walk through the park. The coffee is really great, and they definitely put care into each one, they aren't rushing to churn them out like the chain coffee shops do. The almond croissants are amazing, if you get them when they're super fresh they're the best I've ever had. The other pastries and cakes are also great, and a decent selection. Even now we've moved out of the local area we still try visit every month or so, the 4 mile walk is definitely worth it! My only small negative, is how few tables there are and how uncomfy the seating is. Would love to sit in and relax with a coffee & croissant but don't find it to be the right place for that. Some tables are in front of the counter and can get cowded by people queueing which isn't ideal. Though it is a small shop and so appreciate there's not really an alternative layout. Definitely recommend this place, especially for a quick visit or takeaway. And if you're in headingley it's well worth the short walk/bus to hyde park to go here rather than the chain places. Much better value for money!
