👍👍 I really enjoyed being here - sadly I could only spare half an hour and told the staff member this - he didn't mind. Everything was most timely, most friendly, the crusty baguette, crisps, salad, hot chocolate were all delicious and came as a sort of "meal deal". Would I come here again ... sadly I... Best cafe in Leeds. Excellent coffee and an exceptional selection of sandwiches and sweet bites made from the best local suppliers (the sandwich bread is AMAZING). I've tried most of the menu, and everything has been carefully thought out and tastes delicious. The soup of the day is always particularly delicious (I didn't know soup could taste so good!). The staff and atmosphere is extremely friendly and the menu is vegan friendly. Your only problem will be finding a table; it can get busy at peak times. But since most food can be had to takeaway that's not a problem if the weather's good!

I’ve been coming here regularly for a while now and it’s my absolute favourite place for coffee, breakfast or lunch in Leeds. Every single item on the menu is delicious, my favourites are the coronation chickpea sandwich and the eggs benny! Staff are extremely friendly and sweet. They serve North Star coffee which is amazing too. I always get half a portion of the soup of the day in addition to my sandwich and it’s the best combo ever, it’s been amazing every single time. I absolutely love visiting!❤️

Wonderful cafe, lovely staff and great food! Really great options for both vegans and non-vegans! Really quirky interior and always made to feel welcome. Keep an eye out for summer when they have their courtyard reopened! They also do many vegan pastries which is a rare find in Leeds!

Absolutely gorgeous coffee house. There's a wonderful secret garden to shelter from the rain (today) or sunshine. Staff are fabulous, very helpful. Had a nice little chat 👌💜 Macciato was awesome, coming back for sure💯 I missed eating today, 2 weeks I'm there with bells on 👍

I really enjoyed being here - sadly I could only spare half an hour and told the staff member this - he didn't mind. Everything was most timely, most friendly, the crusty baguette, crisps, salad, hot chocolate were all delicious and came as a sort of "meal deal". Would I come here again ... sadly I live in Lincoln so it is unlikely. Would I like to come again - oh yes. Big smiles, warm welcome, friendly conversation, prompt service, lots of other customers who added to the very positive atmosphere. Looking round, there wasn't anyone there I wouldn't like to know better. I'm used to being stared at (well I do dress strangely) and it was lovely to be somewhere where one was a welcome customer. Also this is the only place I every been where there is bunting in the toilets! The décor is great, whopping great banana plants (I guess they are fake) and retro cups, plates etc - nothing matching - much from 50s to 70s so (as I'm getting ancient) it was interesting to see patterns that had belonged to my grandmother and various people who have now gone the way of all flesh. Thank you Union Coffee House - you made a difficult and unpleasant day memorable for all the right reasons.

I was so hungry i forgot to take a picture of my food!!! I had eggs, avo and bacon on toast and it was delicious. Served with two barista made north star roasted lattes which were equally delicious. I love the interior here and the staff are fantastic

Lovely lunch venue, convenient for Hospital and Courts. Very welcoming, amazing food, I had tomato and basil soup and sandwich combo which was delicious, my dining partner had poached eggs. Very high standard of food, at a very reasonable price.

Everything about this place hits the spot exactly. The decor is based on auction finds - quirky retro pictures and furnishings, an aspidistra and an old piano. It could be the 1920s. The coffee here is extremely tasty, there's a fruity undertone which blends with the frothy milk in a most delightful way. I don't know of a better cup in Leeds. Then there are sandwiches. I opted for one with avocado, salad leaves and toasted pumpkin seeds. Cakes and pastries of a very high standard are also available. It was marvelous. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere welcoming. Don't tell anybody!

Really glad we found this small cafe, warm and inviting on a wet afternoon. We enjoyed soup and sandwiches, good range of coffee. Will come back to try cake's and pastries next time.

Get your coffee and cakes from Union! My colleagues and I often buy coffee (+/- a cheeky bake) from this lovely, incredibly welcoming coffee shop. The staff are so lovely and the food/ drinks are delicious. There are plenty of vegan options as well! I've sat in too and the the atmosphere is perfect. Definitely pop by if you're in the area.

Ordered a carrot cake and an oat latte, carrot cake was brilliant, really recommend if you have a sweet tooth, the latte was a bit sour to me (maybe just my personal taste is a bit odd). Overall, the atmosphere was nice, good place to chill for weekends. Would recommend paying a visit

i believe the chicken breast is slow-cooked to keep its tenderness and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper 🧂 it comes with basil mayo, sun-blushed tomatoes, and rocket within the sourdough baguette 🥖 it’s also served with a side salad that’s seasoned with olive oil, salt, and pepper 🥗 it’s certainly a very fulfilling meal ✨

An absolute Gem. Lovely people, excellent coffee and food. Laid back music. Great vibe. Probably the best spot in Leeds. I am not easily impressed but this was top notch.

With a warm, welcoming vibe, this is the perfect place to grab a top-tier coffee or to enjoy an equally tasty breakfast or lunch. The interior is quirky, interesting and comfortable, and the staff are really great - friendly and more than willing to work with you to make sure that your order is perfect. They even have high quality decaf coffee, as well as a range of milk options. Only downside is the access: steps into the cafe and down to the toilets may make access difficult if you have limited mobility.
