My favourite pub. Always has friendly staff not to mention the great drinks too.

Great place to see a live act; we went to see the Motives which was an excellent gig. Not a pub I would frequent just for a drink though, just too big and non-cosy.

Good atmosphere and you can bring your own food - within reason. Don't be rocking up with a 3-course. Only criticism is there is only one pool table and no snooker table.

Very dark, cheap beer on a Thursday, but don't bother, its not nice, i will not go again

Very comfortable inner city pub. Pleasant atmosphere and nice Sun trap area at the rear.on raised patio. Only spoiled by the view...a run down car park..not part of the pub but responsibility of local council.. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

OK pub very quiet, got locked outside in the 🚬 area

The bouncers on the door and smashed window was a bit unsettling, and my feet stuck to the wooden floor as I walked towards the bar. The whole place seems stuck in the late 90s with outdated decor and strangely the lingering smell of stale smoke in the air. I'm not sure why it's called The Hockney as the only thing that I can see referencing David Hockney is the sign outside. And I presume if ask the regulars about Hockney they'd probably tell you it was a medical condition to do with the kneecap. Regardless of this, drinks are cheap - but don't expect much past the usual swill water largers - and I didn't get glassed, so it has that going for it I suppose.

Great bar, good atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks. Friendly staff and the pub is nice and clean.
