Called as the saltaire brewery was shut due to a private function. Dog friendly Staff friendly Good choice of beer (peroni and Neck Oil) Bad choice of beer (Carling) Close to the river / canal crossing back to esholt! Nice pub snacks for a decent price. Would recommend

To everyone at the halfway house. Thank you thank you thank you! Covid restrictions meant, Two years in the planning. Third time re arranging the date but you helped us pull out our surprise wedding seamlessly! The food was amazing, your help on the night was so valued and the room. Well. The room looked epic! Thank you again for doing it exactly the way we wanted!!

We had planned a small surprise gathering at another establishment to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday but unfortunately they let us down on the day. In a last minute online panic, I stumbled across The Halfway House.....thank goodness I did!! The staff kindly accommodated our party of 9, and both the service and food were exceptional. I would like to say a particular 'Thank-you' to Beth and Sophie who looked after us wonderfully on the night. I would highly recommend The Halfway House and will definitely be back. They also have a gluten-free menu which I appreciated being coeliac 😊

What a gem of a find, lovely place, clean and relaxing with a lovely atmosphere, ideal for couples, groups or parties. The food....what can I say.. absolutely delicious, oh boy was it delicious. But I'll let you into the secret that makes this place absolutely sparkle....it's the staff. Great good old fashioned service where they treat you as a valued customer. Yes there are probably cheaper places to eat, pile it high and sell it cheap, get you in and turf you out places but we are only talking a few quid cheaper, so it's well worth paying a little more for the quality food and great service. Large car park and outdoor area as well

The food is amazing, the staff is amazing. Freshly cooked food, friendly environment, the cake is so smooth and tasty. Nice music playing in the background. I want to give a special thanks to Beth and Craig, they have been so nice to us throughout.

Such a shame , really disappointed. There was 12 of us and spent over Β£300. Meat taste cheap and warned up , fish was over cooked and dry (microwave taste) I feel a wetherspoons meal would of been more enjoyable than this visit such a shame , sadly I don't think we will be returning

Best dog friendly pub I have been to! Not only do they have a doggy water station but they also came over with a pack of treats and even a blanket for my puppy to lie on. So friendly and welcoming even though my puppy was a bit hyper. Lovely food as well and they had the fire on so it was lovely and toasty.

Staff were lovely but not very attentive, we had to ask multiple times for service. Children had to wait over an hour and a half for food, food was okay but not enough to make me or family members want to return. Gluten free menu wasn't too bad but would love to see chips on the menu rather than just mash, jacket or salad however the gf menu is better than most local places.

Award winning sunday roast! I Highly recommend the three meat roast, absolute bargain for Β£15, everything tasty and fresh and portion size is spot on. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the main course but I did manage to get one of the bakewell tart desert which was also very nice. Great family pub with nice friendly staff, reasonably priced for today's cost of living. Plenty of parking spaces. Will definitely be coming back.

Having been to other Green King chef and brewer pubs I kind of knew what to expect. However I was wrong. The staff and the food here were well beyond expectations. It’s a lovely pub with good access for all and a large free car park. Plenty of room inside and it’s good for couples and families of all ages. The food is excellent and the service received made our visit. I will definitely be recommending this to others and revisiting soon.

We ate here today for Father's Day after reading all the good reviews. We left rather disappointed. First we waited by the door for a good 10 minutes before anyone came over to get us seate. We waited around 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Then waited a good half an hour for our starter to arrive. It was nice. Then waited another short while for our mains which weren't nice at all. My chicken was burnt and the cheese had a really funny taste so we left most of it. We then asked for our desserts to be boxed up so we could eat them at home. When opening the box there was 2 hairs in it,in which we didn't even eat them. Just a waste of money, and not the best Father's Day we could of had

Lovely environment, great friendly efficient service. Bit of a problem with the Mushroom and Ale pies but was quickly offered replacement meal and free desserts... We'll definitely be back πŸ‘

Very disappointing experience. Food ordered Thursday for Sunday 9/10/22 evening. Starters arrived in good time from being seated. Then, waited around an hour for mains. Mains were not hot, roast potatoes clearly been sat for hours, email re lactose intolerant customer choice ignored and in fact desert not even included.

Called in for a late breakfast (brunch) and had the Eggs Benedict, salmon and egg and a stack of pancakes. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony. Kate was lovely and made us feel really welcome. We look forward to coming again!

Had a meal here for a work event with 15 people in attendance. Everything was really well communicated and organised. Was able to easily submit menu choices in advance to help with the smooth delivery of the meal, was actively contacted when one of the choices became unavailable so we could choose something else. Service was fantastic with good attention and efficient service to deliver all the food to the table. Food quality was great, everyone enjoyed their meals and food quantity was plentiful. Excellent portion sizes. Really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was good. Able to have a decent conversation at the table and noise levels were good. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return for more work events in the future.

Halfway house seems to have changed a lot since I was there last maybe 6 years ago. I find it much more pleasant , with very friendly staff and great food for the price. It was a little quite as it was Tuesday but the food was still great, whereas some places have a different chef on a quieter night. Drink choices were good too. All in all, a really night place

Excellent food, attentive pleasant staff who were most welcoming. The restaurant, although busy offered plenty of space. As a group of friends we were able to converse easily without background noise. The interior is very cosy and warm with great heating and an open fire. The menu offers plenty of choice and we all enjoyed our meal. I would fully recommend the Halfway House. Thank you to you all. I hope to visit again soon.

I asked for a recommendation and Natalie who served me recommended the special boar burger which was delicious. Service was nice and quick and we were sat next to the fire which was lovely. Courtney you was also very polite and helpful. Exceptional service all round

Firstly the girl at the bar was very sort and rude. We ordered a starter and a main the starter was lovely but the main was not so very nice and after asking twice for butter to go with my bread we still did not receive this. We was never walked passed and asked if our food was okay and having worked in restaurants my self I know this to be a rule. I got the feeling because my partner was wearing a tracksuit we was treat differently to everyone els sat around us. My grandmother and grandfather ate in this pub all the time and if I arrived with them I would of probably of got a better service. We walked out and did not wait for our child pudding!!

Just came home from a good evening yet again. Food was fantastic as usual. Staff are amazing as always, left a Β£10 tip as we forgot last time, I know not obligated to leave anything but those staff work there butt's off as usual and always with a friendly attitude and always smiling. Place was spotless as always, smells lovely and clean and the smell of food makes your mouth water. Toilets are gleaming as always. Can't recommend Halfway House in Baildon enough We will certainly be there again next month

The staff are very friendly and helpful unlike the other Bradford Chef and Brewer. I was beginning to think about not ordering steaks again after the last few in different restaurants have been terrible but the steak here was beautifully tender. We were using Tesco vouchers but that made no difference to the quantity recieved. I heartily recommend this place. More expensive than 2 for 1's but the difference in quality is huge.

Very much a special occasion treat, rather than a regular weekend meal out. The food was incredible, but with a high price bracket. Beautiful premises and friendly staff. Would definitely go again!

Had a lovely lunch at the Halfway House . Food delicious . Courtney and James who were looking after us were brilliant , kind , helpful and provided excellent service. We will definitely be visiting again . As an older woman, I also appreciated the lunch menu with the slightly cheaper and smaller portions. This is a great option , I can't eat as much these days and many portions are too large and I waste food. The lunch portions were perfect for me ( the men all had the bigger meals and enjoyed them immensely) .

Booked a surprise brunch for my parents Golden Wedding anniversary at The Halfway House. Becky was amazing at all the planning and Pete and team were as fabulous on the day!! Great food, great service and couldn't do enough for us! My parents were absolutely thrilled and everyone had such a lovely time. We will be back next week.

After visiting here twice recently, we have been extremely impressed. The menu has a superb choice of delicious meals. Everything is cooked to perfection. The decor and atmosphere is very welcoming and and the service friendly and efficient. Our waitress today was Emma and she looked after us extremely well. We will return again soon.

Called on the off chance as we had been out for a drive. Lovely staff on arriving who took us to a table. Had a couple of beers and some lovely food we will most definitely be going again. We had a few bowls which me and the wife shared 3 for Β£10 and added an extra one. Food was excellent service was top notch Ben who served us friendly without being overbearing.

Had a Sunday dinner with some friends. Nice atmosphere and selection of food. Food quality was a bit poor, turkey was very dry. My dinner also came without a Yorkshire pudding even though my friend had the exact same thing and had a Yorkshire with theirs. Didn't really notice until we'd nearly finished eating. Service was a slittle slow which I guess can be expected on a Sunday.

Went for the mother's day meal and wow wee! The food was exceptionally good. The staff were on point. Would recommend this place for all. Also, they have a lovely afternoon lunch menu, and reasonably priced. Go and try it, you will not be disappointed.
