Went to space last night for a mates birthday as we didn’t have any other option due to how quiet everywhere else was. The vibe was good until I got confronted by the black, fat bouncer that has one stupid piece of white hair on top of his bald head, at the entrance. I got denied entry by him after he let me in to the paying booth area. I was about to pay until he grabs me forcefully telling me to step aside for 10 minutes to “sober up”. At this point I was sober enough and was just trying to enjoy myself. I got humiliated in front of loads of people as he started to get sexist with lads, and was letting in girls that was basically stumbling to the door. I asked him why he did that, his response was “why not?” About 10 minutes after, the other nicer bouncer told me to go in and ignore the fat one. If he never suggested that I think I would of just gone home and it would of ruined the night. I don’t know why clubs employ bouncers like this, it scares off customers because we don’t want to get treated like sh*t when we are trying to have a good time. I think you’re missing the point of bouncers being the first and last thing we see, I understand they have to be intimidating but this is just too much, it’s a reason why I didn’t enjoy the night as much as I wanted. Music was okay, it just stunk of aggressiveness and rudeness.

Overcharged entry, enquired about it at the desk and the lady got very agitated very quick instead of admitting her mistake and refunding the excess she claimed I was drunk and she was not ( I hadn't drank all night) they take advantage of young people who are drunk and can not be trusted, she called upon the bouncer who asked me about the issue, I explained the issue and he said there was no proof, very disappointing as I use to go to this club pre covid and I knew all the bouncers who I adored and had the most enjoyable night out. The fact that I was humiliated and not listened to at all makes me think that they have no morals and I would be very careful when entering this club and interacting with the staff make sure you are given the correct amount as they are sneaky and will do anything. Very corrupt company be careful when interacting with them.

Got kicked out by bouncers after some guy started shouting in my face. Walked outside all calm but bouncers still tried to pull on my t-shirt. 🤷‍♂️

Bought tickets online to be told we had to pay again. After we paid, my girlfriend was let in and i was told to just wait at the side for a moment. 5 minutes later i asked what was happening and the bouncer said I wasn't allowed in but didn't give me a reason. Then the (manager?) came out and told me to leave, I questioned why and he got verbally abusive towards me. Was not allowed in, hadn't been drinking or anything so not sure why.

I was there on Saturday evening... my first drink was served with lipstick all over the top of the glass; I naturally asked for another drink. The bar man poured the drink from one glass to another in order to make some sort of point... the only point he made was to ensure niether one of us in our party will return. No clue / No class / Never forgotten!.. There are so many bars to choose from in Leeds now; ensure you frequent somewhere where there is a high standard of service.

Honestly the bouncers are awful won’t let me in for no reason even with ID, no explanation ruins everything. The black guy with the ronaldo bit of hair on his head was the worst.

Racist South African bouncer on 30/09 (3:30am) was letting everyone in no matter the condition they were in but when it came to my asian friend he instantly got told that he wasn't allowed in, disgusting how you get so many reviews about racism still in 2023 is crazy and how the management hasn't looked into it is beyond me, probably the worst rated club in Leeds now, avoid at all cost pryzm is better mate and they're sinks aren't even intact in the bathroom

Racist bouncers, overpriced entries and the queues lead to the same place but had to queue an extra half an hour for no reason. No worth the money, especially for the small and horrible environment.

Couldn't get in because I "wasn't a student". I think the bouncers must have been doing me a favour to be fair, I obviously looked way too sophisticated for them. Saved me the hassle. It always was a disappointment...

had my bag stolen by the glass cleaner, put behind the bar and told me they didn’t have it four times. until i asked a security guard and they said they all of a sudden have the bag. I checked for all my things, everything was in the bag except my £50 cash and my card was tried, so obviously they have used my card and taken my cash. Told staff and they were RUDE, told a manager and he did nothing but scream at me even though i was calm and didn’t even have a chance to drink. refused to check Cctv until i got police involved. AVOID.

I love this place and come here every time I go out. Me and my best friend who sadly passed away 3 days ago we both basically lived in this place, most of our precious memories belong in here, it was our special place but now I don’t think I’ll be able to step foot in space with out bursting into tears. Thank you for making my experience one of a kind.

would not go here if you are anything but straight , several times i was called slurs in which staff did nothing. Super underage crowd under 18’s with people years below me being in the club despite not being 18. Drinks were cheap and music was gokd however did not feel safe one bit nor could fully ehou myself

I lost my phone in an uber and it ended up here on find my iphone, for about 30 min one bouncer was asking around trying to find it but was unsuccessful but I wouldn’t give up. Then a bouncer called Adam took us inside to try and find it and after looking everywhere it seemed lost, then after 30 min of searching we heard the phone and a bouncer called Jeff manager to find it, in the end we got the phone back because of the effort of the bouncers, so this five star rating is for Adam and Jeff, thank you so much lads.

Don't waste your time. We queued up to get in, bouncer let me through no problem but then told my two friends to wait to the side, I then went back and waited with them to see if they would let us in but then after 5 minutes we try again and they refuse entry still, wouldn't give us a reason why? none of us are drunk, all dressed appropriately?

Anyone expecting anything other than absolute filth, drugs, and a heavy bass line is a tosser and should go to a pub instead. 2.2 stars is a joke, it's amazing.

paid VIP ticket in advance, bounced back by the gorillas because not a student... reading the previous reviews, I'm surprised to see how common is this behavior (with variations about the "boucing reason") in a so-called developed country. Unfortunately they can rely on hordes of young students as customers, that don't really care about this behavior... TO BE AVOIDED

Absolute joke… two queues for the same thing and one of them was halted for like 20 minutes (like pre-paid for tickets). we paid the same price yet i saw people that entered the second queue 15 minutes before us get in while we were still waiting… plus security PUT US IN QUEUES… like do your jobs properly

Worst club in Leeds, perhaps the World. Bouncers are awful. Entry is over-priced, and the spirits seem watered down. Got to PRYZM or Stone Roses if you want a decent night out and good measures. Avoid Space at all costs.

A bald guy kicked us out I have no idea what his name is, presumably racist because I am brown skinned. We was just waiting for our friend and he told us to "f*** off" and was becoming very very aggressive towards us. He needs to get fired honestly I am very shaken up by this experience. I am absolutely disgusted that he treated us this way. We paid money to go into this place and he's spoke to us like we're nothing. I really think you need to review your staff because he is really horrible and very hostile to customers.

Waited about an hour for entry, at which point i direly needed a piss. Got refused entry since i apparently looked too drunk when i was really just looking for the toilet. None of the bouncers would then even listen to a word i said as they'd pass me over onto one another. After over two hours, they finally told me i wasnt getting letting in at all, for no reason whatsoever. I should have gone elsewhere to begin with. A waste of a night out

Pretty fun, liked the atmosphere, a few strange people but that is clubs in general most the time. However, be careful for the bathrooms, they're badly designed and there's men in the women's bathroom all the time AND there's no locks, so my advice is don't let your friends go on their own.

Was refused entry at this venue with no valid reason, I had my I.D which I showed and he was happy with it, I waited in the queue as my mate said he was in the venue, the bouncer ask if I was with anyone I said no but my mates inside, the bouncer said to me, I would have to contact my mate to come outside to be let in. I’ve been clubbing in Leeds for nearly 10 years and I’ve never been refused entry to any venue in Leeds, it was a coloured male bouncer with a black hat on average build, the incident took place around 12:15am - 12:20am on 12th November . This matter needs to be addressed , until i get an apology or some sort of reason to why I wasn’t allowed in, I will not be returning to this venue.

If I could give 0 stars I would, bouncers are nasty pieces of work and refuse entry without validation. Particularly the ferret looking large guy who was abusive towards me. Would not waste your money with this establishment either as it’s bang average if you get in!!!

Thourght this club was a disgrace, had a really bad experience! Qued to get in after having a wristband of a promoter! And got refused entry once been asked if we were students which we weren't just come for the weekend and then asked where we from which is stoke on Trent and said we couldn't come in because of the shoes the males we were with weren't right even though they were smart black shoes when there was other people in the que in white trainers, tns and Nike air max. Won't be coming back there anytime soon, we went club mission best experience we've had everyone is friendly and the music was amazing!

Every time I have visited there has been aggressive fights, if it was for underage kids going out into town space would be shut down because they’re their only customers. Bouncers are so rude, never going again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to either, seriously needs shutting down!!

AWFUL! This club should be avoided. Saturday nights bring out the worst people. Was there recently and boyfriend was spiked with speed - worst clubbing experience of our lives. Will never be returning. Plus male and female toilets are not seperated properly - not an issue in theory except that none of the female doors lock, the cubicals and toilets are also disgusting. Might be cheap but still on par with other clubs in town.

Waited far too long for entry, over an hour. It is probably the most sweaty club you will ever set foot in. The LED light strips and smoke machines which go wild are really good and some good house and dnb tunes were playing. There is 2 rooms and the other was playing hip hop. By the end of the night it got dead and the DJ kept screaming into the mic which was really annoying. The EDM tunes changed to hip hop in the main room which ruined it for me particularly. I don't think I'd go back just because I couldn't stand the heat.

One of the security guys who works inside was very rude & vulgar at the same time! I was in the toilet & then he tried to open the door by force when i was peeing & he tried to open my mouth by force! Cuz he thought that i’m on drugs or something! I felt so offended cause this was so rude! & he didn’t even apologize!! After that! I felt really humiliated because i don’t even smoke! Now I hate this place because of this rude, vulgar guy! He’s the security guy (the one who is black, body built with a long hair). This is a message to the owner of this place! Do you accept such a thing to happen in your club?! The second thing, i have to be fare the bartenders were very kind & nice with me especially when they knew/noticed that i’m not from the UK. So i would like to thank them (only the bartenders) 🙏🏼 & to the owner of this place i would like to say that i really hope that you will take an action against that rude vulgar security guy & fire him. If you believe in humanity & kindness. Thank you. And to those who are kind, respectful & sensitive please avoid this club. It’s awful.

This place has cheap drinks and BOGOF before 12. Atmosphere is grime and wrap with a little house. They had inflatable aliens when i went but okay for clubs. There are definitely better clubs for singing and dancing.

Mediocre but some people tend to have massive issues with the door staff. Personally I've never had a problem with them

I don’t like using the term racist lightly but it is blatant racism whether that be from the club management themselves or just the security guard. Me and my friend waited ages in the line I showed my student id and Id and got told to go to a different side and my friend didn’t even get to show student Id but got told to go to the other side both black individuals. We found that the side we got told to go to was because we were refused entry , when asked why no response was given and they were still letting WHITE individuals in. I watched to see if another group of black boys behind us were treated the same and they were refused entry for no reason aswell . So so disgusting for a club in leeds don’t bother going if you’re black also they let underage ppl in easily?? but you will be refused entry if black???

I got needle spiked this Friday and the club itself is just generally an unsafe and unpleasant environment, I do not recommend this club to anyone but especially not women or people of colour.
