5* Pub, Dog Friendly, Log Burners, What more can you ask for? Large Forrest located directly behind the pub to walk the dog, run or mountain bike👌. Call in advance to check if food is served if you aim to eat. My dog loves it that much I struggle to get him to leave!

Pub was late opening at dinnertime by a hour but showed open on website, would be helpful if owner had put notice on door to advice customers of why they were late opening as due to location many customers were waiting. Went back later but no food on, had a drink landlady was friendly and polite.

Beautiful place, not as you'd expect it to be from the drama, but lovely little pub and village

The lovely famous Woolpack pub, it was surreal sitting outside having a drink. Ladies that run the pub are very friendly. We didn"t have food there but what we seen getting served looked lovely. Really beauiful area.

Rang ahead to book a meal and asked if we could stay over in their car park in our campervan, wasn't a problem. Had a lovely meal, there was live music and the atmosphere was terrific. Very quiet and peaceful nights sleep. Staff were amazing, so friendly and had us in stitches. Had a fantastic night. Thank you Woolpack 😁

Even if you are not a fan of Emmerdale this pub has a very friendly welcome. Unfortunately when we visited the chef was not very well so couldn't try the food. Get well soon. Great atmosphere lovely village great place to recharge on your travels.

Visited The Woolpack pub in Esholt today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Had a drink inside. A massive big thank you to the young lady behind the bar because she allowed me and my husband behind the bar pretending to pull a pint and took photos for me. Walked around the emmerdale village and absolutely loved it. Big emmerdale farm fan so loved the whole afternoon there and now ticked off my bucket list. Taken lots of photos including the church. Wonderful.

The food was good but things were forgotten in our order, However, we went on a Sunday and many things were not available on the menu.

The pub itself was nice, staff were friendly, approachable and quick to accommodate. In all a positive family friendly experience. They even had a bowl of water for the dog (they also serve dog beer and ice cream too!) The food was very reasonably price, quick and above quality.

Had a beautiful walk out to this pub, has a little history behind it, it used to be the location to film emmerdale scenes back in the late 80s early 90s before it was mived location, food and drink are served from 12pm and I must say the quiche on the specials board was fantastic l, and very reasonable on price too, definitely be back for another visit

A warm welcome awaits at this iconic pub, star of the ITV soap Emmerdale. Food is normally available but they were just getting the kitchen ready after the pandemic so I can't comment on the food. However the host more than made up for our disappointment with her friendly warm welcome. Lots of photos of the stars are dotted about the walls. It has a lovely homely feel to it and the landlady was happy to take our photos for us. Large enough car park to the rear, and outdoor seating.

Lovely place to stop and have a pint when travelling around. Owners were very accommodating and let us go behind the bar to have photo taken. Very nice stop and had a great atmosphere.

Would have given no stars if possible. Pub website says it's open when it's not. Many people travel a distance to visit this pub and village, so this is not on. Frosty bar staff/manager encountered with no people skills on the day we arrived at Esholt Woolpack pub. A woman with blonde hair working at the pub with an expressionless face, was quite rude looking straight through my husband when he enquired if the pub was open that day for business. The other female member of staff with her back to my husband had to turn round to answer since the other female found it too much trouble to be civil. The answer was no it wasn't open for business that day, however later that same day my husband and I saw it was in fact open with several people sat outside the pub enjoying drinks. No we didn't go in and be confrontational, we just won't go back until it's managed properly. Was really looking forward to visiting the Woolpack, but was disappointed with the reception we got. Hopefully new management will bring a much needed new lease of life to the place. On a plus side the local people are friendly at Esholt and it has a fab clubhouse with cricket ground and football pitch. Lovely walks close by.

Was fab! Recommend a visit, inside on the walls there are lots of photos of most of the characters of Emmerdale. There is the post office which also sells memorabilia of Emmerdale Farm as it was named in the first place.

Lovely small village where emmerdale was originally filmed for 22yrs in Esholt. Filming stopped in 1997. Had a larger shandy in Woolpack and walked around this beautiful village. The first scenes of the village appeared in 26thJanuary 1976, episode 291.
